Thanks for everything...I had a piece of lint melted on my dryer drum. Now it's good as new.
Glad to hear we could help! Hope you saved some money from calling a pro!
Thanks for the video. Yours is the best video on disassembling a Speed Queen dryer. I needed to replace my heater element. After some experimenting, I found I could replace the element without removing the drum. After removing the two machine screws, it slides down and out.
If you take the belt off the tensioner pulley first, you can free up the drum more easily. I have a dryer model with the control panel in front. My drum did not seem to fit through the front.
Getting the drum in and out is undoubtedly the the most awkward part. But after that the rest is pretty strait forward. With the exception of the control panel. Thankfully those don’t go out very often. Lol.
Thanks for watching our video and supporting our channel:)
Wow! Thanks to this video, we fixed our dryer! Thank you Sky Management!
No problem! Glad we could help :)
Excellent video guys! My speed queen dryer has gradually started that thump thump thump and it has my attention. Appreciate the simple step by step and "good" video quality!
No Problem! I hope it helped you get your problem solved :)
release the belt tension first and then use the belt to help get the drum out...... When putting back put one arm in each side and route the belt, super easy. Also if the roller shafts are good you can remove the rollers and washers with snap ring pliers without removing the shaft.
Heey, thanks for the video. Helped me pull my speed queen apart and remove a gigantic lint ball that got sucked into the blower.
Glad we could help! You were not the first... and will not be the last.
Nice job, very thorough and informative. Thank you for this.
