Hello Inv aw. I didn't have to turn gas off since I didn't work with any gas related parts. . I disconnected the electric power. If you turn gas off is extra safety which is good. Thank a lot for your comment

The roller over the burner is always the one that dies in all gas dryers. Replace that one and Clean and lube other rollers and away you go.

Just always replace the belt. That's nuts to even think about reusing the belt.
