Collaboration is at Ango’s core, having worked with Jacques Greene, Machinedrum and the wider LuckyMe family over the years.
Having recently built his own recording studio from scratch in his new home of Toronto, he knows a thing or two about creating the ideal environment for making music, which is why we asked him to give a session devoted to getting the best vocals possible on a recording. He went through a great deal of technical tips and even offered up a few personal ones along the way.

The tip about chest + airy doubles is killer.
Its really nice that there is now valuable information (mostly for confirmation purposes) out there that isn't so fucking audiophile technical. This was nice. It was like hanging out with some dude who loves what he does and wants to share it passionately unrehearsed.

Does anybody on here know where I can find little events like this? Seem like some good valuable information in person.
FYI: It takes time to understand the lingo producers & engineers use. His inability of explanation skills is actually the way most producers talk. Their brains work faster then their mouth.
The look on the guys face at 12:46 is the best part. I'm sure this guy has made some great mixes but some of this is pretty suspect lol.

This guy has a hard time explaining himself. I think he should be more hands-on and show what he is saying, rather than just talking.
Not everyone has the ability to be articulate. Doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's doing.
@@JakeAdams27 Show us the link to your video on recording vocals and we can all take a dump on the way you articulate your thoughts.
Useful information, but 95% of it had nothing to do with recording vocals.

This was one of the worst demonstrations I've seen. The guy is all over the place it's hard to follow.
