  • This is a quick overview on my 2020 sportsman 570, I recently added a Kolpin switchblade ATV snow plow. I will note that the instructions that were provided were not accurate with the parts labeling and I mostly had to assemble the snow plow with the picture instructions. Sorry for the wind noise. Any questions hit me up.

    I just bought a Kolpin plow for my tracker atv.
    I also bought it with the high rise lift plow and power angle kit. It's awesome!

      What does the high-rise lift and power angle do for you? More clearance? I will look into that, my Jerry rigged set up works but now u have me interested lll

      @@ScottieBMan yes more clearance and power left and right angle no getting off the machine to turn the blade. Super easy install. Great product too.

    Just put the same one on my bike. If you don't need them remove the skids. They wore out really quick on mine. Also the wear bar wears down quicker than others. I got one plow out of mine and one skid was gone and the other really close. The wear bar was about 30% worn. I ordered an aftermarket hd plastic wear bar but have not been able to try it yet. Overall it works well but just wears quickly.
    You will need to do something to get more lift on it. You will need it.

      I was debating putting a lift on it, I’m not sure but possibly figure out a different hook on the winch cable that could buy me some extra height, thanks for your input.

      I have seen some people rig up something to their front rack with a snatch block to get extra height. Cable goes up through the snatch block then down to the hook on the plow. Hard to explain but something like that could net you a few more inches

      @@ryansheskey9481 I understand what you’re explain, great idea

    i just installed one on my 2022 honda rancher, but i mounted it up front, use a hole saw for the u bolts and you dont have to take off the skid plate, and the plow will lift about 2 feet off the ground. makes it easy to trailer

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  Год назад

      So u mounted it up towards the front more? Good idea, definitely helps with clearance.

    If u have adjustable shocks stiffen your suspension the front of you machine won’t drop so much

    mine is on my mule the further out the bracket is the more height you will get

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  3 года назад

      Right on man, I’m not sure how I would get mine to mount further up, it’s working decent for now, I would like more clearance tho for sure I may change down the road, thanks for watching!

    Nice plow but that battery location looks like a pain in the ass. I like the battery under the seat and away from Mud and Water.

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  2 года назад

      Battery is definitely in a PITA position. They do have a nice power bar ran up under the front compartment. But your correct, thanks for watching!

    I have the same Plow bud. It doesn’t like wet heavy snow

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  3 года назад

      Yeah I haven’t had more than 3” of light snow thus far and it wasn’t too bad. I guess I’ll get out early and plow before the heavy stuff gets too deep!

      I disagree I’ve been pushing wet snow with no issues. Been 4yrs now

    U might want to weld a couple plates on the bottom of ur skids if not they won’t last long

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  6 месяцев назад

      Yes agree, luckily haven’t had to use it much but definitely plows are not easy in these machines

    Hey do you think this would fit a 2022 polaris 850

    • @ScottieBMan
      @ScottieBMan  Год назад +1

      I would imagine so, it’s a universal set up, you will see I had to do some custom fitting in my other videos tho! It works pretty well overall, if ur serious about plowing large areas frequently I would get the Polaris Glacier! Small home jobs this is good
