Nice set up I use to use a 4 wheeler to plow my driveway and barn yard . It took me five hours but was better than plugging in a tractor and more fun , but the best fun has been putting a 7-6 meyers plow on my truck and doing it all in 30 minutes and warmer too . liked your video your machine could push snow

I have an Outlander 650 max with the flex plow. I put the extensions with drift cutters on it immediately and also went one step further and put tracks on my machine for winter. I don't regret it. Only downside to the drift cutters is angle plowing is pretty much out. They are good for pushing and piling snow. The machine is a beast with tracks on it. I go places here where sleds can't or won't. There are things though a sleds can do that I can't but I'm not out for adrenaline I enjoy the adventure hunting trips anyway.

I've bin ATV plowing for 20+ years...Here's a few TIPS---
If you want to reduce your time and fuel...start your passes with the blade at FULL ANGLE. The blade will dig more allowing less passes. Then at the end of your drive steer into where the snow is being pushed or sloughed off...this will help prevent a huge mound.
When you clear next to structure...you should put the blade at a hard angle...to prevent making a wall next to the structure.
Always use the angle most of the time. The straight blade is good for clean-up.

I don't mean to hurt your feelings but your machine looks beautiful when it's not covered in mud...OK i'm a trail rider. The plow is awesome and the speed of mount is flash fast. I'm always amazed what ATV's can push, and did not think you'd be able to clean up the end of your driveway. Seams like you still have the visco lock front diff...i saw that tire spinning. Excellent video i enjoyed!

Nice setup sir! I love how the plow stays straight up and down. doesn't tip up when you wind it up . most plows if you purposely rase two inches above the ground they end up tipped up at an angle. I have a very long drive that forks off to another garage. I find my plow truck to cumbersome. I use my ATV to plow. Nimble and faster. About 1 foot of heavy New England snow is the max for my Can-am Outlander 850. If the storms keep coming I'll use the truck to push back the snow banks and widen things up.

I have a 300 yard driveway and i plow an area the size of a football field with my 850 and the 72 inch flex plow . I took the drift cutters off because if the road is slippery and there is heavy snow the drift cutters will hold too much snow and torque the ATV sideways which is not good when you're up close to buildings and vehicles . I put a kevlar winch line protector on my winch line and it's worth every cent . They all come too long so i cut mine so 1 turn will go over the drum . Saves flattening and work hardening the wire line and eventually breaking it . I also put on an oval fair lead . The kevlar line protector is a long tube that fastens around the wire with velcro . I cut it to the right length and fastened it to both ends with duct tape .

Recently I bought a used 1000 R and I am now working on installing a snow blade. While taking a break I watched your plowing video and I can see already I might have put too much faith into the ability of the atv power plow. Even though we have a 300 meter drive way I think my walk behind snow blowers did a considerably tidier job. Also thinking ahead to a lot more snow the snow blower gets rid of it much better and further away.

Just incase, I wanted to let you know that the plow has sliders on it so it leave a layer of snow. Our driveway is gravel and we didn't want to push any of the gravel onto our lawn. Hope this helps! But yes, snowblower has a lot more control. ATV is more fun though ;) - Cass

This is the Geckofamily, I like this video, also seems to take awhile to clear out your driveway.

I also have the Alpine Flex plow on my 1000r Xmr. The only grip is that the plow is light and sometimes rides up on the deeper stuff.

I would have plowed to the end of that driveway and made a turn on the end to avoid making that pile! Just a suggestion! Awsome tires!

Just found the channel and digging it I have an outlander 650 myself. What lights are those in the headlights? And how are they installed?

I used to plow with my polaris and the first pass was the hardest . Would have to hit it back up hit it . Once thats done it did ok . The most amazing part was your wife Helping you by opening the garage mine is no where to be found when there is snow to clear. I got a tractor and sold my atv the tractor is much more effective because of its weight no comparison. Also i took a 9ft heavy highway plow and made it work with the tractor so just two or three passes and im done the four wheeler was up and back like in the vid.

Is there any reason they changed the plow design for 2019? I have an 2019 outlander but like the alpine flex vs the flex2. The flex2 dosent seem to angle side to side. Thoughts?

that's a very cool looking rig, i really like the orange color and the tires. however, have you ever watched any pick-up truck plowing video's? you could have cut your plowing time in half and put less strain on the machine if you would have simply plowed "in circles" where you just kept driving forward to the end of the run and turned around to plow in the opposite direction! if you tried plowing a parking lot with a pick-up the way you did this, it would take you half the night! but it was still entertaining!
