I was just going to say hello today and check your site to see if the 6x6 was up and about , glad to see you back. I used to have to shovel snow with a driveway that big in the 70s we had about 18ft of snow by yrs end. N ow that would have made it easier. A few years ago I was shoveling snow for a 1/2 dozen old niebours some were disabled as am I, I own an 800 cam 2005, and they were going to pitch in and buy me a blade, they thought it was 400 dollars, I told tham it was another 4 or 500 for the mount, they still were going to get it but I refused and goter done the old way. most all my old friends have passed now, ill be 57 in march, time sure flies. thats why I still ride when I can youth and memories x hp
I have the same plough on a can am 650 XT without tracks. I put chains on the rear tires and it seems to work great. The winch limiter makes a big difference
they took the lugs off the back disc because it is not a power wheel, and of course it was bad timing for the rear teeth, when the front was pulling, the idler was full of slack and caused a slip lash, causing the teeth to jump the belt and breaking some of the teeth. so that is why it is a idler wheel/disc. beast of a ride you got there. lol almost looks military style, ahaha. awsome video !!
I have my first Can Am 570xmr and it is beautiful. We finally have some snow and ice in Doniphan Missouri so I am going to go play today. Your 6x6 is a monster!!
Dexter de Awesome dud XD lol shut up you play minecraft and are like 9 years old so dont comment on grown up stuff most of theas mashines do the same job! go play with your car toys
WOW! That thing is a beast. You look tiny sitting up there LOL That is weird how they took the lugs off the back sprocket, but I guess you don't really need them. Thanks for the walk around, great video!
+cubbeezx Thanks bud, yes the front drive wheel on the rear track actually has more cogs engaged then a normal set of rear tracks. We will give them the full test as soon as we get some more snow
+It's A Lag Productions! yeah bro we just got 42.5 inches Saturday, it's crazy!! Finally was able to legally ride the Outty on the main roads. Wish I had a go pro to film the road wheelin' and drift bustin' me and my buds did, it was a blast!!
Everything except the plow looks incredible. Great video. The plow looks.....well like any toy with a plow mounted on it. It's hard to get a feel for what is under the fluffy snow. Is it hard pack? Is it pavement? Gravel? No bite to get under what appears to be very light snow. I'd hate for that to be my only implement in 28" of wet stuff. Can you angle this plow? If not......good luck.
Andrew Labossiere ya man. He needs the boss V. I plowed with winched plows for 4-5 years and finally upgraded to The Boss V. I’d never even think of using a winched plow again. Only way I’d see it makes sense is if you are only doing your own driveway. But when you got tons of properties, you need Hydraulics, and you need more weight.
Should see if the outlander tracks fit on your defender. Someone said the outlander is 82 cm center hub to center hub. The defender looks be the same when I measured mine.
I'll be doing this myself tomorrow. will be plowing snow in a grader then when I get home do my driveway with my bike. supposed to get 2 feet of snow by the end of Saturday in Maryland.
Can you use the override with the tracks, or does that mess up the wheel that sits the farthest back (as the "normal" ones back up using the rear wheels without the override)
I like how your 6x6 shifts so smoothly. My 2008 Can-am BRP outlander 4x4 doesn't. sometimes it sticks and you gotta wiggle it into gear. Any idea whats wrong with it?
Gary Lowe Depends on where you want the snow to go. If your pile is in front of you then i would do it straight; but if you pile is on the side or you have to plow a long distance then yes.
It looks like it wouldn't be difficult to overload and mangle that awesome plow with that much horsepower and traction. Good bye warranty? Too frickin awesome...
hey osta im having problems with my can am outlander 1000 2012 model. ill start her up itll run fine then when i turn her off she wont crank it has a brand new battery friend told me it could be a loose ground wire. just wanted you're thoughts thanks.
Way too cool! Problem is, that muffler is annoying is hell. It would be fine on a sport or racing ATV, but for utility applications, heavy duty and slightly louder than stock is the way I'd go. And geeze, 1000 CC!! Beast! I'm sure she isn't exactly fuel-sipping even with modern EFI.
I missed your vids so im wathing this agian, I'll bet they would have loved you in new yoks big snow. At the rate were going maybe be a record low snow fall
LOL lets go find some snow at the neighbors, thats the same thing i said on our first snow fall of the year. this is my first winter with my 2012 grizzly 700 efi eps. i have a 2500lb KFI winch and plow on mine and it looks like i need to get a set of the wings you had on the ends of your plow blade.
Love the machine and respect the build! But at the same point. If someone were to just buy this to plow their driveway, their nuts... You could buy a 4 plow trucks and have a heated cab plus a more efficient kit. Love these machines but I'm not sure where they fit in the market? To the person with everything?
+Mazzman Eh, it's not just for plowing. The tracks would be awesome for hauling wood and riding in deep snow, its a good do all rig. Plus he has tires for mud.
Im not dissing the machine eh..what so ever, things a beast!! but just trying to figure out what their selling point is? Its not for the speed demon, its not for the farmer as its too much money, is it really that much better in mud than a tricked out quad?? I think its for the customer that literally has everything and still got money to burn. 10g's is alot of cheese! Sweet build either way and keep up the great vids!! ostacruiser
+Kyle Clayton most atvs have an overdrive or override button to remove the rev limiter in reverse or like on my 2012 grizzly 700 you have to push it when you lock the front diff or it has a really low rev limit. it for "safety"
Osta the 6x6 looks awesome man! One questions for you though, your RJWC exhaust sure discoloured quick. Is that normal for the entire muffler to discolour like that? I knew the pipe would blue but didn't think the muffler would turn brown that fast. Regardless that thing is an awesome machine.
@@caleb_hilgy that is Canadian with tax, 20 for 10006x6, 9000 tracks, 1500 plow, 1000 rad relocate, 2000 clutches, 500 exhaust then powder coating, few other bolt ons. Adds up quick
For future use there is a tlit function on the plow that let's you windrow to the left or right helps keep snow off of a part you just plowed. Its a lever you pull in the middle. If you didn't know. But that things a beast!
+ostacruiser That's awesome. I figured you would have changed it by now. I want to set up my clutches like the XMR and the 6x6, just not sure how to change the factory clutch weights to avoid buying a new clutch kit.
+Matt S do you guys paint your spring spacers, powder coat, or acid etch them? I was given a set my buddy never used but they are plain aluminum and I want a black finish that will last.

That thing looks like a Beast with those back tracks. Awesome machine.
Thanks bud

I think its fantastic that you have over 40k views of you plowing your driveway. Still a sweet ride.
I currently run a 2017 Polaris 6x6, looking to upgrade to the cam am 6x6 1000. I find your videos helpful, thanks.👍
TimminsTrapR get that Polaris piece of shit outa your life there just pieces of shit
Go and get yourself a ymha grizzly
Dexter de Awesome dud XD lol shut up you play minecraft and are like 9 years old so dont comment on grown up stuff most of theas mashines do the same job! go play with your car toys
Grizzly's are nice machines, but I need the carrying capacity for what I do.
WOW! That thing is a beast. You look tiny sitting up there LOL That is weird how they took the lugs off the back sprocket, but I guess you don't really need them. Thanks for the walk around, great video!

I think ur wierd, thats what she said
+ostacruiser I thought Canada had all the snow! Down in pa we have 4 foot drifts!
+ostacruiser trying to bust through 2 to 4 feet of snow with a Kawasaki Mohave 250 right now. Cant say its working too well.
+It's A Lag Productions! yeah bro we just got 42.5 inches Saturday, it's crazy!! Finally was able to legally ride the Outty on the main roads. Wish I had a go pro to film the road wheelin' and drift bustin' me and my buds did, it was a blast!!
An awesome video. That looks like it would be so much fun to learn to drive.
Such a bad machine!! That's awesome
+rekjavicxxx Thanks dude!
+ostacruiser I subscribed check out some of my videos and make sure to subscribe.
rekjavicxxx s
Looks really awesome. Almost looks like you have the power and traction to push a plow twice the size of that one though.
That things bad ass! Makes me wish we had snow…..almost.
Big boy toys, gotta love it!!!
Everything except the plow looks incredible. Great video. The plow looks.....well like any toy with a plow mounted on it. It's hard to get a feel for what is under the fluffy snow. Is it hard pack? That beast needs a big v plow to double the fun
ya

Only way I’d see it makes sense is if you are only doing your own driveway. But when you got tons of properties, you need Hydraulics, and you need more weight.
That is Nuts! N.V.T.S nuts!! :D Sasquatch isn't the biggest monster in the woods any more.
Nice plow goes well with the 6x6
Quality Video As Always, Keep Up The Good Work, Many Thanks Charlie!

pretty sweet osta I love that rjwc exhaust pipe
Yeah that exhaust sounds fuckin sweet eh!
well that things an animal hope to see you flinging some skeg with it spring is coming
Seems like a lot more fun then pushing a snowblower and shovel around. How's it work in deeper snow?
Looks so different with tracks on
Nice vid bro
Should you not angle the plough left or right so as it pushes the snow off to the side instead of just pushing it all forward.
Gary Lowe Depends on where you want the snow to go. If your pile is in front of you then i would do it straight; but if you pile is on the side or you have to plow a long distance then yes.

Hey Ostacruiser, I always enjoy your videos and build out information! Ever use or do a review on a snow blower on the 6x6? Thanks.....
+George H Thanks dude. No I haven't but man that would be a slick set up hey
For sure, I think that would be a great addition! Thanks for your reply and keep the videos coming!
is it ever huge with the tracks. nice vid osta
Dude that's so sick where do you get them?
hey osta im having problems with my can am outlander 1000 2012 model. ill start her up itll run fine then when i turn her off she wont crank it has a brand new battery friend told me it could be a loose ground wire. just wanted you're thoughts thanks.
I don't think you will ever get it stuck with the tracks 👍
what kind of gear shift handle is that and what kind of winch do you use??
I'd love to see how it does in 4' of snow.
Man me too!! lol hopefully next year
can you do a video of it in the summer as fast as it can go. want to see how fast it go
osta one day you need to invite some of us from the South down there. show us how y'all role down there outlander looks like a machine lol
Muffler discolored? Burning to lean or mud did it???
Love your vids. But does the Government get after you guys if you don't where helmets? Just wondering
No not at all. We wear them cause a squashed head is no fun lol. And they're warm!! lol
Thats a nice plow let me know how it plows like 12" with those tracks
LOL lets go find some snow at the neighbors, thats the same thing i said on our first snow fall of the year. this is my first winter with my 2012 grizzly 700 efi eps. i have a 2500lb KFI winch and plow on mine and it looks like i need to get a set of the wings you had on the ends of your plow blade.
lol...they love me for it too. yes the frift cutters really help to hold more snow on the blade
That is a beast plow snow like a boss!! plow my drive next.. lol
Do you run any outlanders stock because I want to get one but don't know weather I will be able to do it stock
wat do you tink? i have a 04 yamaha yfz and it got a honda cb 500cc engine in it. :D
Love the machine and respect the build! But at the same point. If someone were to just buy this to plow their driveway, their nuts... +Mazzman Eh, it's not just for plowing. The tracks would be awesome for hauling wood and riding in deep snow, its a good do all rig. Plus he has tires for mud.
Yah it gets kinda ridiculous when these things run upward of $10,000
Im not dissing the machine eh..what so ever, things a beast!! but just trying to figure out what their selling point is? Its not for the speed demon, its not for the farmer as its too much money, is it really that much better in mud than a tricked out quad?? ostacruiser
true....but u also have a toy....where as a plow truck can do more...u really cant bomb skeg one day next day trail and nxt day plow
why don't u put some weight on the plow to push little down to sweep the snow off better?
Just curious man what do u do for a living if u don't mind me asking ?
Did you install the limiter for the winch? I have the same plough on a can am 650 xt and it works great.
Yes
I'll show you my house address to send all your quads to me haha! Looks great man!
Nice walk around info, Now that you've used both "ur wife's atv 'n' the 6x6" to plow snow which would u rather use? Great clip thx.
+Darryl Pressey 6x6 can push more Mrs. Ostas Outty was more maneuverable
How fast can it go ?????????
Paige Snodgrass with tires around 125km/h
I just have one question, does this flex plow only work on the can am??
Why don't you ride the Catvos'd Renegade any more?
He sold the Gade 2 seasons ago. Right now it's just this and the turbo mav... until his xmr renegade shows up
Thanks for filling me in
Osta have you tried using a boss plow. It has the v-shape
+ALLAN Thomas No I haven't
+ostacruiser were do you live
+Brayden Askew I'm pretty sure he live in Saskatchewan
+ALLAN Thomas Yeah the v plow would work way better
What kind of camera do you use? Your videos are always crystal clear, gotta get me one!
I thank a go pro
this was shot on a Sony ax33...the clip at the end was a hero 4 session
I'm looking to buy one do you mind saying what you paid for the quad?
I've often wondered why a lot of quads seem to miss a bit in reverse. I notice even this beauty seems to do it. could anyone explain this to me?
+Kyle Clayton because they are geared low so you dont go so fast... and the rev limiter kicks in
+Kyle Clayton most atvs have an overdrive or override button to remove the rev limiter in reverse or like on my 2012 grizzly 700 you have to push it when you lock the front diff or it has a really low rev limit. it for "safety"
+High Island DIY ahh that makes sense thanks.
This is smal plow for that machine :D
to get that exact setup: tracks.same atv, plow and struff how much would it cost
35k
@@ostacruiser WOW that is alot
@@caleb_hilgy that is Canadian with tax, 20 for 10006x6, 9000 tracks, 1500 plow, 1000 rad relocate, 2000 clutches, 500 exhaust then powder coating, few other bolt ons. Adds up quick
@@ostacruiser that is a expensive atv
It snowed a foot last night here just west of you....woot woot
awesome! we got about 4"s
where can you buy a 6x6? ive been wanting one for forever, and cant seem to fins one =(
That is not much snow but you are doing a good job.
What camera do you use to record everything?
Nice house !
how are the tracks on concrete?
ya
Slicker than snot...
How many belts have you ever broke?
What is the name of that plow? I like how easy it is to hook up. Im going to look into getting one.
Alpine flex plow
Hey how do you get your atv so clean?
Aaron Bennett power washer and 5 hours
ya
How do you have so much money?
He actually works for it, and thanks to people like us watching his videos he can do these awesome builds!
It's an easy concept, it's called "working" if you work hard you can play hard
Or just don't have kids
+Kyle Fromholt he has kids
+ThEjeSTor not saying he didn't
For future use there is a tlit function on the plow that let's you windrow to the left or right helps keep snow off of a part you just plowed. Its a lever you pull in the middle. If you didn't know. But that things a beast!
What is the overall length of the machine, tracks and plow?
13ft approx
What size light bar is on your rad
Do you still have your Freeride?
im sorry this might be rude but what is your job how do you afford this kinda stuff haha its like a car
How much did this build cost you
So wouldn't that"idler wheel " just spin in the track
+bobjones64 It will turn at the same speed as the track as the rear diffs are locked together
+ostacruiser ok. Thanks
Does that mean new snowmobileing videos
you should trig out a yamaha viking 700 special edition. i run one in gumbo mud.
What camera are you using in this video???
+MixinitupOutdoors Sony FDR AX-33
+ostacruiser nice.. man the picture quality is fantastic on that
are you running a tuner on the beast?
You bet, I run a rjwc tuner
Make sure to flip that blade at the end of every season so it wears evenly
looks sweet
Are you still running the factory clutching?
yes sir
+ostacruiser That's awesome. I figured you would have changed it by now. I want to set up my clutches like the XMR and the 6x6, just not sure how to change the factory clutch weights to avoid buying a new clutch kit.
+Matt S do you guys paint your spring spacers, powder coat, or acid etch them?
I was given a set my buddy never used but they are plain aluminum and I want a black finish that will last.
+Matt S Powder coat...holds up great
Do they still make the 6X6?!?
You bet. Awesome machines
Still own this one?
you can put a 7 6 ft fisher on your truck and stay warm for less than that and plow tons more, just sayin....
Never Enough whats the fun in that
How much wat this set up in total
ostacruiser what is a good starting ATV and beginning mods
+Silas Minton I would check out the Outlander Xmr 570, awesome machine right off the show room floor and set up for most anything, great pricing too
+ostacruiser thanks also how do you keep your machines so clean
+ostacruiser right now I have rancher 420 2x4 in a few years I am looking to get a new ATV what is a good all around ATV for mud and trail
