I bought / installed the same Kolpin 48-60 universal plow on my ATV 2011 Arctic Cat 550 TRV (2-Up). Instructions stated 45-60 minutes to assemble the blade. I started at 8:30 AM, had 1.5 hour lunch and completed at 2:30 PM. Yes. That long - with a large cup of coffee and my reading glasses. Retired people with bad knees/hips take longer time. smiles. For my ATV's under belly, I used 4 x U-Bolts and 2x2 hard wood spacers. And I cut off the tips of extra long U-Bolt threads as well. During its install I did add a few more flat washers and greased its swivel points. All installed "as it should" and very happy with its looks, with its ease of angle change and with its safety tilt ability. It's worth buying "on sale". Recommend this adjustable plow...
I have plows on a 1990 Honda FourTrax 300 and a 2001 Honda FourTrax 500 (Rubicon). The plows are branded by CMP and Moose but CMP (Cambridge Metal and Plastic) actually manufactured both of them I think. Both ATV’s are still in operation with their original plow blades and mounting hardware. And both have spent many hours plowing many driveways here in Minnesota, especially the older one. After watching this video, I’m glad I didn’t buy that bolted together lightweight Koplin plow. It doesn’t look to me like it would hold up to the rigors of the plowing that my CMP plows have. The CMP plows are constructed of heavier gauge all steel construction. And the plow blade and push tubes are all single welded together assemblies. Sure, you can’t pack them into such a small box so they’re cheaper to warehouse and ship, but I’ll bet mine are a lot stronger and they have stood the test of time. I’ve gone through at least 5-6 1/4” X 3” X 60” steel reversible wear bars in the older plow. So it’s seen a lot of use. I know someone is going to accuse me of shilling for a competitor of Koplin. Not true. I’m just an ATV owner in snowy Minnesota. in fact I own some Koplin accessories and generally have a high regard for their products. Just not this one.
For Kawasaki Teryx...the square ubolts...need about 1/2" extra clearance on the slots right where the plow arms would come up. The only one shown in the manual is for the mule. You guys have the clearance on the inside gap where the arms would come up...but if you guys would cut those slots a little longer open...then boom. As it stands...tomorrow will involve so drilling. :/
Love my kolpin plow on my vector 500 this thing pushes snow almost as good as a truck well worth it yah get what yah pay for go kolpin now for a gun boot and trail hunting
I’d be concerned about the receiver mount on the bottom of the atv getting trashed when riding on the trails since it hangs down reducing ground clearance.
I dont know what the complaints are about this. This thing works great on my Ranger 700. Dont be an idiot and try and ram snow at 20+ miles per hour. Have some common sense about it and you will see it moves snow great.
I am attempting to put one on a polaris 450. Its gonna require some custom work. Honestly wish I would have bought something different now. Where this mount is supposed to be my battery is in the way. Wouldn’t recommend and I haven’t even used it yet
Recently bought one of these plows good quality product but everything was labeled wrong number wise had to put it together without directions Customer service does not respond to emails Good product bad attention to detail at manufacturing
Less than impressed with mine which I have on a cf moto z force 500.u bolts won't stay tight and break easily.mount moves forward and back.cant find replacement u bolts anywhere
He doesn't explain the 2 different sizes. He's making it full length, but if you want 60" leave one of the short brackets out, and put the 2 long brackets on the outside and the short one in the middle.
Good thing you didn’t use a tourqe wrench to 17 lbs, because I did and the cheap Chinese hardware that comes with this plow had 3 carriage bolts snap in half on their own.
You get what you pay for.....cheap price, cheap plow with Chinese hardware and shotty mounting options. Do yourself a favor and Spend the extra $200.00 more for a quality moose or warn plow system that will last a lot longer.

I drank every time you said "were going to go ahead" ....now I'm too drunk to assemble my plow

Oh...and I know it costs money...but if you guys could make the pictures a tad bigger and maybe with colour...that would be awesome.

Excellent Video nice step by step make it very easy. I just order one the good part is you could choose two different sizes 48" or 60" blades..
Be nice if there was a close up of the skid mounts and little plates so I know what direction they go in

Those are bolts that you use with washers and nuts, not ‘screws”.
Good instructions until you hit to the part THAT I NEEDED! Mounting the mount on my machine. As usual, no detail!
Because it's a universal fit, you're going to have to figure that out on your own

I'm gonna buy 2 of these and make a 144 inch blade.
I purchased 3 of them now my wife is my wing woman
Good video
Is this the same install for the general xp1000? Would I have to remove my skid plate?
These work for an atv to the plow is just larger so it the mouthing bracket.
Can you please make a video for a cfmoto zforce 500 trail eps..
I don't even like mounting IKEA furniture. Can you imagine?
Mine bent, both ends bend backwards. Unless your plowing styrofoam peanuts. Not impressed in Alaska!
I have a moose plow mount on my UTV, this plow mounts on a much wider mount, ugh!!
Recently bought one of these plows good quality product but everything was labeled wrong number wise had to put it together without directions
Customer service does not respond to emails
Good product bad attention to detail at manufacturing
Same here, almost all of the pieces were wrongly labeled, but the bolts and nuts were ok, overall a well made product.
Less than impressed with mine which I have on a cf moto z force 500.u bolts won't stay tight and break easily.mount moves forward and back.cant find replacement u bolts anywhere
I think I will do mine at 48"

I bet 90% of the hate on this plow is from a competitor and/or disgruntled customers who used it wrong/ couldn't figure out how to put it together.
How many Rat-Tat-Tats of my impact it 17ft-lbs? ;) ;)

doublereed29 it’s half a dugga dugga. Or tighten till you hear the ping and back off a quarter turn.
the holes do not line up,on the plow or the ware blade. the directions do not tell you everything. run from this three piece plow
Holes lined up fine, perhaps you are just not mechanically inclined.
I'm really confused. IT says UTV in the top line and ATV in the description, so which one is it? I'm looking for the UTV one.
Did you watch the video? Lol
What gauge metal is the blade?
13 gauge according to Kolpin
Believe its 13 gauge plastic
Can we go ahead and stop saying go ahead?
I’ve had snow shovels sturdier than this thing.
You haven't
That looks like a pain in the rear. Seen much easier plow system.
Saw
