Nice tip ...thankyou thats just what ive been looking for .....i also do ten 3 min rounds with a hand speed drill 2 rounds with 3kg and 2 with 2kg then bck to 3kg for 2 2kg for 2 an finall finish on 3kg for 2

Think of the place you want to land an impact, like think of the impact landing, not of moving the hand to it and do that then strike there.
You should feel coiling buildup inside you when you think of the impact striking, then you unleash it
Do this over a table (preferably glass) to catch the weight in case it falls

Just tried it! Brutal but fun. The lightest dumbbell I have is 10lbs so it was probably too heavy for me.

Have the dumbbel above your bed. That's the safest option I could think of. (Unless your bed is on the floor or is a bunk bed :D )

Would you recommend using a 4 pound (~2 kg) ball instead of a dumbbell? The benefit of that is I think that it trains your grip strength, and if that falls on your foot, you're less likely to break it (especially if you're doing it above your bed). What do you think?

Yeah, I feel you bro. I've fough 3 times and gonna have my fourth fight this saturday at 71kg and what I end up doing is actually losing the weight and fighting like that. Might be at a disadvantage but I've won all my first 3 fights in the same weekend at a tournament while only weighin in at 69.5kg. I'm still at an amateur level so I don't worry too much but I need to start weight cutting properly
