Both are awesome. Thanks for the video. Maybe try again later after a couple of sharpenings on both. I say that because of other videos I have seen that said the steel even gets better after a couple of sharpenings.
Been trying to find a manix 2 15v that wasnt absurdly priced for some time. Hard as hell to find lol. Did just snag a pm2 15v last night for a very reasonable price. Bnib too.
Two very comparable knife steels. While the 15V has a slight lead on edge retention, S90V is way more corrosion resistant. Thanks for the very informative video.
Something that really speaks highly of the 15v tho is that edge is still coming back that well from stropping after all that cutting it has done for you! Honestly that in its self is truly amazing!
It really is so cool that u say "I love u guys" at the end of the video. There needs to be more love for people on this planet and I respect u for being man enough to say that, thanks for all the awesome content.
This makes me rethink picking up a 15 knife bc after watchin your other tesrs i thought it held an edge significantly longer than even maxamet let alone s90v ddnt think for one sec s90v could keep up dang this video might have saved me $240-!250 bc i was about to buy a 15v yojimbo when theyre released but i doubt i will now bc i jus recently picked up an s90v knife and im prolly gonna buy another bc i found an auto in s90v and i love autos would be perfect combo for me jus hope the sale works out for me bc i eeally really want it now that ive seen this video bc its only $100 vs the $240 the 15v would cost me and id have two extremely high edge retention carries one an auto one a flipper and save $100+ especially seems how s90 is also corrosikn resistant and way easier to sharpen vs 15v from what ive rwad online n heard in reviews and stuff, anyways thanks for these tests man has steered me in the right direction once again
@ well see lol im jus now getting to test out the s90v knife once i decide whether or not i wanna put a much better exge on it right away or wait til it needs sharpened i doubt ill wait i always like putting my own edges on stuff bc i kno i can get it significantly better than what it comes with from the factory with most knives
Hell yeah man keep the cut battles coming, these are so fun to watch.
Keep up the good work! I’ve only carried my pm3 s90v for 1 day so far! So we will see.
Great video dood....keep up the awesome work my friend 🔥🔥🔥

Even better?! Geez I can’t imagine it getting even better that’s crazy
Great videos man 👊🏻
I’ve been a fanBoy of 15V
I’m very much enjoying using and learning this steel and finally completed the 15V collection enjoy 🤙🏻

Tremendous. Love my 15v Shaman and I just got the s90v pm2 the other day. Both great knives.

It really is!! Holy shit!
Good stuff man!!!
Come on factory edge vs resharpened edge??

Good video, don't have either one of these blade steels in my collection, might have to invest in one or the other, maybe both.
Yeah I’d say go for either! S90V will be easier to find. These are both top of the line blade steels!
Ha Ha Ha. First thing I noticed was the tape holding your gun rack that is holding an ax. Don't stop fast!!! :-)
😂
I think this goes to show that s90v factory edge is bomb.
I love S90V and I heard if the hrc is slightly under, it still holds a good edge but is less brittle. 🤙 I need to try 15V for sure
S90V vs. K390 next?
It’ll have to wait until I get some S90V. I sent that Para3 back to Mersault. Sooon!
1 video with 3 spydies...excellent! I love the manix2.
It was a factory edge vs a Lacey edge ?...if that's the case wouldn't it be a push ?
Yep. The factory edge was excellent, and they were cutting paper equally as good so I figured it was close enough.
I just got the Pm3 in s90v! Really like it so far!
It’s incredible!! You’ll love it
Ide like ya to do 15v vs s125v. I have a couple russian made knives in s125v and it's damn unbelievable how long it goes.
I’d love to get my hands on some! I believe it scores the highest on Larrin’s chart. A 13 I think, and 15V scores an 11
Resharpen the para 3 and do another test I bet the S90 does better.
The final boss . Noice 😊. Makes me want to play some Destiny 2 end game activities . Both steels are excellent and worthy end game bosses imo .
D2!! I played a lot when it first came out. A few of the dlcs too. But then I stopped for a while and now there’s so much new shit it’s overwhelming
Where do you place m390 between s90v and 15v ?
Both S90V and 15V have better edge retention than m390. But 15V is not stainless, while S90V and m390 are.
Can you show me where, on the edge of a wharnie, is a belly 🤦♂️ -5 points
I got my 15v PM2 @ my local brick and mortar shop about three weeks ago. @the time they had several PM2s and Shamans..just saying.
Who is Lacey that sharpened your knife?
Edcandlace on Instagram
Spyderco’s s90v is much better than any other s90v I’ve tried
I haven’t tried any other s90V but knowing Spydercos history that doesn’t surprise me! They always do the best heat treats
try getting retired fire hoses
15v should retain sharpness a little better but s90v is much more corrosiion resistant.
True dat
Unfair comparison. S90v was on a factory edge ? But 15v had already been sharpened. Let lacy but a fresh edge on the para 3 and then do a fair test
