I am starting a new series: Sound Design Session. In these videos I just tweak stuff without any voiceover or hassle, nothing but pure sound design. I hope you will like it!
This week I am making a nice neurofunk bass in kilohearts phasplant. Phase Plant is KiloHearts' new synth that can easily beat Serum in no time! And because making neuro bass sounds is the hardest I am making one today to show that it's not that complicated! So get ready for the funk, the neurofunk! :D

It sounds a whole lot better if you turn off the two ensemble effects!
Ensemble sounds horrible to me man plus it also mess the mono signal :/
@@MIDNIGHTCVLT Yeh I turned it off after the recording... my ears were tired, didn't hear that it messed up the sound. Nevermind, the sound is cool without that :) Thanks for the comment!
I bet you just did this so we have to recreate it :D
i really like how this is sort of live, showing the trial error you go through in making a sound, whereas most sound design videos in general are completely rehearsed and don't show an accurate demonstration of the process, which is often more important than the sound itself!
Yeh, that is why I started this series... although based on the view duration people dont really watch it too much of it, so I am not sure if this is something most of the people want. I am glad you like it though! :)

This is one of the few tutorials that I’ve found that successfully recreated the Koan Sound sound. Big ups!

@@Letsynthesize I would love to see a tutorial where you take this sound and resample it. KOAN Sound's resampled basses are always so nice. The first bass that comes in at 38 seconds into Dynasty is a good example. I sort of understand how to resample but I can never get it as smooth and twisty as KOAN does and they are my no.1 for this style of music.
