    What Is The Sea Control?
Sea command was eventually superseded by sea control in the aftermath of World War One. The term "sea control" came about as a result of the gradual realization that new technological advancements, such as mines, torpedoes, cruise missiles, submarines, and aircraft, made it difficult, even for the stronger navy, to maintain full command of the sea for an extended period of time over a large portion of the theatre. In the current term, sea control means that the stronger side completes its principal operational mission on schedule and in the right area without facing considerable opposition. Thus, it may be defined as sea control as acquiring and securing the privilege to utilize the maritime space in the period as expected.
The word "sea control" more clearly describes the reality that it is impossible to wholly control or deny an opponent's use of the seas in a war at sea between two powerful opponents, even in the most limited sense. Thus, it essentially refers to a fleet's ability to operate with a great degree of freedom in a sea or ocean for a limited period of time.
