My late guitar teacher used to always say “nothing ever sounds quite as good as an explorer or v” - to preface he was a classical guitar (nylon string) teacher mind you. He always attributed their sound to the amount of wood on it - he was full of jokes and what not but maybe he was on to something. I’m no scientist but I love the sound of explorers!!
All such iconic guitars. The ES series all look amazing, and that Explorer looks super badass. Obviously the Les Pauls and SGs are famous for a reason, too
I love the composition you chose has a nice "Sunday in the park" Ragtime feel to it, rather than just lawyer blues Like every other youtuber were probably would have played Your way gives you an individual sound profile for each guitar. Rather than just watch me do this thing. I can do on these things that I get to touch.
My wish list from your catalog, in order of preference: 1) ES-345 Pelham Blue 2) Flying V 50th Anniversary (this one really surprised me) 3) SG Bourbon Burst HP Special 4) Firebird Tobacco Burst Studio 5) SG Natural Supra 6) Johnny A. Signature
The amount of people saying the bourbon sg sounded great just because it jumped out with a twangy sound when actually it was slightly out of tune and jarred the vibe 😂
Why would you do this? Aren't Gibson guitars overpriced and have bad QC? Is this paid? I still like your playing style and personality but can we agree Gibson don't think about we common folk?
I tried listening to this video with my eyes closed and I legit didn’t notice the guitar change for most of them. There are subtle differences in a few (shocker that the two humbucker combo sounds similar to other two humbucker combos). They’re nice guitars but nobody should be spending thousands on these. Especially not for the quality you get, as anyone who’s ever played a Gibson will tell you that the tuning stability is damn near zero. Truly overpriced guitars by an out of touch company.
that Explorer *drools* the frampton scares me.. and the tonal change in the bourbon burst SG compared to all the rest is insane. (almost jaring) are they like.. mini humbuckers or p90s whats going on there? @samuraiguitarist
Everything: super mellow and jazzy. That Bourbon Burst SG, “NOPE!”😂
He’s definitely the cousin that came home from college and got too drunk at the family party.
came here to say the same! I was like, "wow that SG jumps out at you!"
SGs have the bridge pickup too close to the bridge. They're so bright sounding
that was my favorite sounding one lol
@@Professional.Bro.777could also be coil split
All of the ESs sound fantastic
Indeed
Can confirm, definitely a guitar.
That Bourbon SG took me off guard for a second, sounded great!
It was out of tune 😂
I agree, sounds amazing. Super sparkly. Love a bright sound
They all sound pretty similar. Except for that SG HP Special 😂
Now I want one bro damn
Damn, didn't think i would like the explorer's sound the most.
Yeah it had a really well rounded tone. Surprised the hell out of me.

The SG was very nice, a good feel and brightness
All such iconic guitars. The ES series all look amazing, and that Explorer looks super badass. Obviously the Les Pauls and SGs are famous for a reason, too
That explorer sounded smooth as butter
What a great tune! Must’ve taken a lot of time to put this together. Love the tones on most of them! ESs were really fitting though

Damn that Natural Supra SG was sounding glassy as hell, woulda thought it was a Strat
i wonder if it was the neck and middle together, cuz it reminded me of that setting on a strat
Maybe that's why it really stood out to me as well.
This is a sick idea, gives listeners an idea for sound they want from the brand..like a catalog haha, song was beautiful btw
Beautiful guitars with their own special sounds. 🥹
I love the vintage look of the Antigua finish!
That fucking 175 is special.
Those last 3 were fantastic
Gorgeous “Georgia” arrangement, im stealing that ! did you learn that or just make it up? I enjoyed that, you’re great!
this shit sounded beautiful man
That SG Supra is stunning (looks and sound!)
love the LP custom. looking forward to picking one up this year. maybe in green burst
My favorite was the Peter Frampton if we’re talking about sound.
i found it a little to dark
Awesome I loved all of them but only have one of them
Currently saving up for a Flying V. Love that guitar to pieces
It take be a bold character to show up for a jazz gig with an explorer or flying:V 😄
They all sounded warm & mellow except for the sg's they sounded high & tinny
Just can't beat a Gibson, American made of course, for sound and play ability! Love them!😊
Cool guitars, but what caught my attention was that nice jacket.
The firebird sounded awesome
Wow, that SG stuck out like a sore thumb! Very unique guitar tone.
didn't think I would like that first SG as much as I did
My wish list from your catalog, in order of preference:
1) ES-345 Pelham Blue
2) Flying V 50th Anniversary (this one really surprised me)
3) SG Bourbon Burst HP Special
4) Firebird Tobacco Burst Studio
5) SG Natural Supra
6) Johnny A. Signature
I would love a lefty ES-175 or any of the variations of it. Love that single cut design. Not sure they ever made lefty versions.
Keep up the content!
That arrangement tho!
Man, I love SG’s
I’ll take the ES-275 please. Beautiful guitar 😎
The SG Supra was other level here.
I like bright sounding guitars
Flying V & Les Paul are my favorites.
putting the tabs is the mist chad move
Fantastic
Still your best performance, I think. Georgia on my mind.
That es-275 😮💨😮💨😮💨👌
tab for this??
I’ve been playing guitar for 8 years and have always wanted a Gibson. I just can’t afford it. But they sound so good!
dat FireBird
I love the sound from the explorer
I have only played the cheapest Gibson made today and I don’t like them as much as epiphone but I do want to try a good quality Gibson.
Very very nice!
The Johnny A does it for me.
Nice one that’s a lot of work
That Peter frampton my goodness
Explorer wins my vote!
Damn never heard a SG like that. So different than a Les Paul
Okay... what the HELL is the first one? Cause I need it!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ppl don’t realize the subtleties of the sound and feel of the guitars. I can kinda see what guitars he’s feeling a difference in
Surprised with how much better the explorer and Les Paul sounded than the others
DAMN what kinda pickups are that SG Natural Supra? That neck pickup sounded so trebly and twangy and I love it.
As an explorer fan my self, i do and only play soft jazz and nothing else
Sounds like something Chet would play
Call me crazy that sg supra has got something about it
Bro called us poor in every single fashion
The amount of people saying the bourbon sg sounded great just because it jumped out with a twangy sound when actually it was slightly out of tune and jarred the vibe 😂
Don’t let Glenn Fricker see this.
Nice taste in guitars if I don't say so myself.
Plot twist
He recorded it with one guitar and mimed along
Sounds like 2 guitars
That SG tho...
Superniceee
I could only wish😂
Explorer was the best!
Wow!!!
Rank them!
Which Song is that ??? ❤
most of them sound the same, but a couple have their own unique sounds
Is the ES-345 Pelham Blue a special configuration as compared to the typical ES-345 or do all ES-345s have a similar sound?
Tabs? Or name of the song?
no hummingbird or L48?
Whats the song?
Georgia on my Mind
What are the differences between the 345 and 355?
What is this style of music
What is this style of playing called?
The most expensive video ever made
firebird twang solos
What the name of the song???????
I was hoping this had an answer 😢
Looks like a fun one to learn.
@@spraynard9529Others have pointed this out as well but it’s an interpretation of Georgia on my Mind
@@stephendonovan9084 oh nice! Thank you!
💣💥🥳🎶🤘💯
Can i have one? I have none!
Sad you don't have a 135
Una explorer es para tocar heavy metal o trash metal.
Lovely. I bet tuning all those MFs wasn't though..
A lesson in buying Gibson supremes. Just don’t
Why would you do this? Aren't Gibson guitars overpriced and have bad QC? Is this paid?

all of those combined is probably worth 3 4 bedroom houses
Or 1, 3 bedroom house in California 😂🤣
@@sean_mccadden 😂 right

all sound the same lol.
This guy does not know how to play a Gibson.
Cool 😎 clip
that Explorer *drools*

Flying V and Explorer are my favorite Gibson's, that's coming from a Fender guy....
