    Eric's interviews were masterpieces. I can't even find words for an interview held by Eric with Georgi as a guest. Just thank you Civilnet.

    Ну наконец хоть кто-то внятное сказал, предлагаю авторам канала выложить это интервью на армянском и русском языке. И спасибо профессору Дерлугьяну за это интервью. Надеюсь он будет частым гостем в Армении, особенно в этот период. Он кстати при приходе к власти пашиняна неоднократно в интервью говорил, что исторически революции в большинстве случаев являются предвестниками войны, либо внутренней (гражданской) , либо внешней. Что и произошло

    Thank you for a wonderful interview. These are the kind of people we need in Armenia. I hope we can all stand together and build a better state, each of us doing what we can do best.

    Thank you for this, it was interesting and educating, especially the last question and the answer to it, that gave a valid perspective for the future.

    Just one thing: I never thought we have a journalist and an intellectual of this level (I'm talking about Eric Hacopian), so I'm pleasantly surprised......Respect this man! And Derlugyan who is a typical representative of Russian "intelegencia", like them both)

      but I was disappointed by Hacopian- some of his question showed that the big difference between him and Derluguian; I would like to know if Hacopian has a degree in political science? today he sounded a little bit naive in comparison. Not very analytical; Hacopian sometimes sounds like average Armeniens who are rather patriotic then intellectual; Derluguian calls this patriotism (we are backward ... still fight patriotic wars) ... I know he explained it in a more complex way

    Prof Georgi Derluguian’s vision, humour (2 belly laughs for me), and sociology perspectives on generational* change. Essential listening, especially to the last question and answer on the next 1 month, 1 year (2021), 5 years, and 25 years in the land of Haik and those who lean into it.
    * A generation is 25 years.
    Derluguian’s books have been translated into 17 languages. His profile is here on Wikipedia: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgi_Derluguian

    We need more American Armenians, European Armenians in Armenia to take over the country's rebuilding process. It's obvious that the soviet mentality has failed and we need fresh ideas ect

    I wonder what the families of all those killed men for this lost cause are supposed to get from the message "Western women want to live out their primal instincts when they see your sons in uniforms"
    This doesnt require much studying btw, Mr. Prof. it is a well-known, well-studied occurrence that men in uniform represent strength and stability.. Its not about nationality.

      But we are. We didn’t have to have a civil war, leading to thousands of deaths and displacement of our own people to have someone we didn’t approve of, to step down in power, unlike the “Arab spring”. So ya, we are more civil.
