It is always a pleasure to listen to these wise people. Thank you
It's always a real pleasure to listen to this gentleman. Greetings from Lithuania.
Mr. Derluguian's vast knowledge is very very impressive; however, him constantly digressing from he main question makes it very difficult to follow what he is saying. It would drive me crazy if I was a student of him.
I feel the same! but I like professors like him I wish we could give him four hours of free talk ))
One of the most level-headed and balanced conversations I have heard on this. Unfortunately mych of the European/US, just like the russian propaganda are full of emotional rather than rational discussions, not to mention the level of ignorence... Highly appreciated to see a discussion on a much higher level!
Sanctions is not a new thing, it started since Nord Stream 1.Russia must have been prepared for all out sanctions long before now. the rest of the world however is riddled by crazy prices and inflation. My condolences to anyone like myself retiring this year, we are victims to the system we slaved for.
Best bet for anyone with a brain is to get in on a passive income stream while you still can, doesn't matter which one it is just get on it and stay committed, things are getting dicey and the sad part it loads of people wont notice how bad it is till its too late. Be your own retirement plan

that's actually quite impressive, I could use some Info on your FA, I am looking to make a change on my finances this year as well
@@mitchel8329 The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
@@mitchel8329 I will give this a look, thanks a bunch for sharing.
Get your money into emerging market stocks, good commodity/mining stocks that pay a dividend and you will be okay. Just get out of the dollar
Great, thanks!!
Excellent analysis. Thank you.
great
He was so wrong on Russia and President Putin, and his theory that Ukraine could possibly fight Russia.

this woman has a good point...
What a stupefyingly ignorant guest. He doesn't seem to be aware that the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences was created in 1918 by the Ukrainian State and not by the communists (unlike, say, the Armenian National Academy of Sciences, which was created in 1943 as a branch of the Soviet Academy of Sciences).
This guy just babbles and goes back to history on every single question. He does not even need a host. Just give him the mic and let him babble. He never answers a question directly! I am surprised as how he ended up being a professor at NYU!! He just likes twisting topics around to express his thoughts he had same morning before interview on air.
Technically you are right, however the Soviet Union took over the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences shortly after its establishment in 1919. This institution was barely established before the Soviet takeover such that many consider its actual establishment as being during the Soviet era.
@@arthurkassabian2528 The Soviet Union did not exist in 1919, or in 1920, or in 1921. Are these 'many' that you speak of as ill informed as you, perhaps?
@@andysk5438 I miswrote, my apologies. I should have said Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (established in 1919) which became a founding member of the Soviet Union in 1922. With this clarification my point still stands. Also, there's no need to be snarky and rude about it it's not conducive to a decent discussion.
