    Agree with Ruben Vardanyan. Our nation has to accept change and be willing to accept advise from diaspora to able to move forward and be at our best. Sadly, I don't see this now in my homeland. It needs a reboot in its laws and policies from where I stand.

    I think a format of one-on-one conversation would be a lot more informative and than asking questions. Both of you have a vast knowledge of Armenian issues. A conversational show will be a lot better than an interview. Keep up the good work Eric. I really enjoy your program. Bobken Amirian

    Agree with so many great points raised by Mr Vadanyan. Also, interesting comments from Eric Hakopian on the perception of Armenia by the diaspora; lots of people in the diaspora, especially those who were born outside Armenia, have no understanding of real issues our country is currently facing. Sadly, the daily reality I live in.

    Allowing people that don't live in Armenia to vote in Armenian elections is a terrible idea. If your last name ends in yan/ian you can pretty much get an Armenian citizenship. And we have enough Armenians outside with citizenship to become a decisive factor in elections. Do we really want people who might never even stepped foot in Armenia to decide who should govern the country?

    Diaspora Armenians won’t contribute significantly unless they are turned into stakeholders, rather than being treated as donors and benefactors. Stakeholders have rights, they have entitlements and they have claims and hence, long term commitment to the cause.

    Please do not ask people like E. Hagopian and R. Vartanian to run for political offices. We needs them

      No, not because of that. The reason is Vardanyan close to Putin and this so called media is subservient to Russia and is actually one of their prime sources of gaslighting putting Armenians in the fog about what is really going on and how dangerous it all is. Pay attention to no absence of usual Azeri hate speeches and bullying and there you have your answers.

    if we want to attract diaspora Armenians mainly from Middle Eastern countries, we must build subsidized apartments, with reasonable payment options, many Armenians will come.
    secondly we have to think of businesses and projects and offer stocks for people to participate $1000, $5000, $10,000 as much as they can invest without affecting their livelihood.

    Syrian Armenians left Syria to come to Armenia around 25 000 now there is only few thousand left why ? There is no opportunity in Armenia in these government conditions.

    • @vickpetrossian5178
      @vickpetrossian5178 3 года назад

      Well, a lot of them had no intention of staying in Armenia. They just used Armenia as a transit country to get to the Europe/America. And that happened during Serjik's time. "these government conditions" were not involved.
