  • Bottom unit has been repainted and refurbished this weekend, ready for Kimberley rock monitors to move back in.
At some point I'm going to add more orange highlights and an extra lamp in the top unit, so that they match as closely as possible to aid the impression created that they are a single vivarium. Other than that, they are finished!

Thanks, just finishing off the old Kim's/new peach throat Viv, as picking him up this evening!

Great build. I have been doing the same for 4 months now, a 100 width x 60 depth x 120 height terrarium with red outback walls. I am not only doing the walls, but building the entire thing, it takes ages. Eventually, I want to keep my pair of v. storri in there, but Iassume that it might be too big for them now, they are still small. May be I let my v. tristis use it temporarily.

Thanks, it's time consuming for sure! I wouldn't worry about it being too big, as long as it's heated and furnished appropriately with plenty of hides and clutter spread about so they don't feel too exposed and plenty of food in for them to find, they will do fine.

What did you use to get that colour and texture on the walls

Substrate and sand mixed, over hand textured foam panels. Painted with acrylics
