I remember when watching through season one of this I kept feeling like I was riding little waves…. I bailed mid season. By the time I came back for whatever reason it hit me totally different. This entire series is worth the frequent slow burn! I know y’all see the value in good storytelling… this is definitely different but as good as BB!!
Electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) is the term used to describe a perceived sensitivity to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) that causes adverse symptoms. However, there is no scientific basis for EHS and it is not a recognized medical diagnosis. Some scientists believe that EHS symptoms are psychosomatic in origin, and are likely caused by underlying physical or psychological disorders. Other factors that may be responsible for EHS symptoms include: Poor indoor air quality, Excessive noise, Flickering fluorescent lights, and Glare from visual display units (VDUs).
12:13 - THAT GUY is indeed much smarter than Tuco AND HE IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE CHARACTER in this whole Series. And that's really saying something, because all the characters in this show ARE AWESOME!!! But yea, NACHO is my #1!!!
I mean with the level of detail they've gone to in both series, in every single episode, it would be a bit weird if the reason for choosing to film in front of urgent care was "eh fuck it cba". Anf I don't know how it is in the states, but where I'm from you go to urgent care with a broken leg instead of just waltzing into a hospital. They then transfer you to a hospital if its needed. And in some places here the urgent care is in the hospital, just on a quieter backside of it.
Nah, that's just standard real life practice Hospital's are for acute trauma where your life hangs in the balance and care makes the difference between living or dying Jimmy would also know that
Slip and fall scam. Fall on someone’s property. Say you’re going to sue. They were negligent in not clearing ice from the walkway. Get them to pay you to not go to court.
Club soda isn't particularly good for getting salsa out of a rug. However, it is good for lifting protein stains, aka blood. Granny may pretend not to know what's going on, but she is a Salamanca after all. One thing I love about this episode (and it's not the only one) is it shows an under-appreciated aspect of what having a lawyer is good for. When you're in a situation where anything you say is going to make everything worse for you, having another person advocate for you is invaluable.
TUCO IS SO EVIL!!! Nice reaction... This is so early in the show, it's fun to see how it all started. If you like great character and good dialogue you can watch Succession next.
I loved BCS more than BB, it just felt more grounded (pun intended) in reality. The characters are much more relatable. People usually say the first 2 seasons are slow, but I love them.
5:00 an interesting and subtle detail is that she isn't nearly so clueless. She advises to use club soda, which due to its salt content really helps with cleaning up fresh blood. Salsa instead is better washed off with dishsoap and/or vinegar. Presuming she knows her stuff about how to clean; she knows it isn't salsa. And you can kinda get that from her face as well. She knows what family she's in.
A fun fact. If you dial the number Nacho gave Saul/Jimmy, you will get Nachos voicemail. Throughout this series, when you see a phone number, you can call that number on your phone and get that characters voicemail. But it doesn't work for ALL of them.
Love it, love it, love it!!! So much fun watching you two dig in to this. It's a beautiful thing. "Wow... You got a mouth on you." "Biznatch!" "Petty with a prior." LMFAO. "For when you figure out you're in the game." Uh huh... And yes, you two: By the time of this comment you likely already know, but you will definitely be getting some Mike backstory. And it's some of the best stuff in the series. And that's an insanely high bar to reach. Last thing: The montage you two speak about liking, and liking the music in it, the thing where Jimmy says, "Showtime" a couple/few times... That's a tribute, and very direct reference, to Fosse's All That Jazz. So damn good...
I saw a bunch of comments of people telling you to watch Succession. Let me tell you, if you choose to go into that, you're in for a ride!!! It's good but you got to be emotionally strong to take it all in
Just be patient with this show its a real slow burn so dont get frustrated if the answers dont show up right away. Its worth it there some really great payoffs throughout the show that were properly built up instead of rushed like most shows do nowadays.
Club soda WILL NOT get out salsa stains, but will get out BLOOD stains. So, it seems that abuelita has some past experience with that. Maybe some of the male members of her family told her those were ahem.... "salsa" stains from previous incidences, instead of blood stains. She is a Salamanca after all, regardless of which side. The Salamancas seem to be a particularly violent and ruthless group of people. From Tuco, to Tio, Abuelita, the 'twin' cousins, and others.
the henchmen of tuco are same from bb ... & the Mexican guy wearing gang outfit that's vagos hood style if u had ever played GTA u might know it pretty well
Great reaction to this episode. Even though, like Breaking Bad, the momentum only gets to classic levels in Season 4 and then escalates to beyond-belief fantastic levels in Seasons 5 and 6. However, you're likely (in real-time) at one of the best episodes in the entire series (S1 E6) that really hones in on Mike's origin story. Can't wait for that episode's release on RUclips in 13 days.
Yes I agree with other comments. React to what you see. Enjoy the episodes and characters. All will be revealed and there's little need to speculate and ask loads of questions. Just saying. Will make better reactions too
I don't know if you are gamers but this cast is filled with voice actors , Mando in Farcry 3 , Banks(mike) in Batman arkham knight , Steven Ogg from gta 5 in guest role.
Kailyn and Eric when is the next reaction for BCS being uploaded ? Did you two miss a reaction earlier in the week or are you only reacting to the series once a week ?
Please Please Please, you have to re-watch Breaking Bad S2E8 "Better Call Saul", and listen every word carefully. Every detail in that episode is important for this show, including his name drop, but the name is the least important out of those
It's a fantastic show. I really wish people would not make comments that create expectations about characters or character arcs. It's not fair to anyone.
The difference of these montages is that you se time passing and Jimmy does not progress, he is stuck. In others movies or series, they use them to show evolution and development
It's really funny to see your reactions because you have no idea what to expect and what It's going to happen and something incredible that the writters were able to do is to keep that aura during the entire show. It's crazy how good this show is because you know what is going to happen and even then, you are going to be blind. The only thing about BCS that you should know is that S1 sets the scenario but the show isn't like that every episode. From S2 and on they go full on drama. All the funny moments from S1 It's going to be there but with drama. BCS is a slow burn (sometimes a little bit too slow) but it has an incredible payoff
Go to 18:15 in your Better call saul episode reaction watch till Walt & Jesse give dollar in Saul's pocket, then watch this series or else you will be never be able to get it.
Oh no, she called nacho "least intimidating". I would say he is scarier than Tuco. Tuco is just crazy. Nacho is manipulative. For someone to tame a crazy guy like Tuco, you better be that good at talking.
One of the big differences is, because it is a prequell, you know where it is leading to and what characters are not in the picture for whatever reason. Also, this is more a lawyer show which is a different vibe. 2 missing themes from breaking bad other than the family, the duo dynamic with jessie and walt is not here (or another akin to it) it is just jimmy solo. And you called it, mike. 2 stories, 2 protagonists but not a duo. The other difference is no meth cooking which was the running theme of breaking bad. This is a good show, though imho not on the level of breaking bad especially emotionally
This show is a slow burn, to BB levels of intensity, maybe more. Vince Gilligan really hit his stride, all the rules still apply, colors etc, but the cinematography, the action, the story, I think its all improved over BB in this series. Hang in there and have fun!
You guys are right on the money about Walt’s actions being judged differently because he had a family. We watched him neglect , endanger, and abuse them throughout the entire series, and it made it less “fun” to watch his journey for sure.
Anyone who thinks this is a bad show doesn't know anything about any filmmaking aspect and has bad taste. You could argue that Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad. Like, let's compare. Both leads of BB are incredible, just like BCS, but BCS supporting actors performances are much better than BB. Cinematography, BCS, and it's not even close. Both are just as good written. Storytelling: BB is better in this aspect in the first season, but after that, BCS has just as good storytelling. Editing, BCS. Characters, BCS. Antagonist, BCS. Editing, BCS. So yeah, BCS is better than BB for me, but BB is still a masterpiece, but BCS surpassed it for me.
Spoilers in the comments once again, and also bit a of a shame you know some info whos about to be into the show beforehand, that said it's kinda hard not to be spoiled by this point. Hopefully you can get moderators for your comments though.
Why is everything happening on this show "strange" as you say it all the time. Just get used to the fact that it isn‘t Breaking Bad. NO HATE I like you!
Its a bit pointless when you muffle the sound on the montage sequence yet aren't saying anything apart from 'itsca bit strange' It serves no purpose to us
The montages of this show are unparalleled. Cinematography and music are gold. You have just witnessed the first, the bests are yet to come.
can’t wait til this show really ramps up love it
I cannot wait for their reactions to this show. It’s so so good
super excited haha

Michael Mando as Nacho. What a character, what an actor. His entire arc is something else.
Urgent care is perfectly capable of helping with a broken bone in most cases.
The *”least intimating guy”* is a fan favorite. Probably my favorite character in the series.
Also, I find him intimidating as hell!
He's not batshit insane like Tuco, but he's still intimidating.
@@newpgaston6891in the first two seasons he was scary asf, but later we saw a more human side of him and it helped him to be a more loved character

This guy is so confident about things he's 100% wrong about, and it's hilarious.

Yeah people still do it to this day in stores. Spill a liquid on the floor then "slip" in it and try to sue for there not being a wet floor sign. Etc.
These two are blissfully unaware of the seedier aspects of our society. Kind of adorably naive, I guess
