Really good video, again, Kim! I do like that you do it all slowly and repeat steps so we can see exactly how it's done. This is something I want to try next time. I quilt on my domestic and it's so tedious wrangling the quilt through the small throat of my machine! Love the pattern of the block. I never really get the disappearing nine patch and why it's called that....
Hi Helena 👋🏻 Thank you 🙏 And yes, hand quilting is definitely worth trying if you have to wrangle your quilt and machine whilst they are ganging up against you 😀 The block I used in this video was a disappearing four patch, however the principle of the dis. four patch and dis. nine patch is the same…. You start with a normal four or nine patch, then you cut it in two or more places, shuffle the pieces around and re-stitch back together in the new positions so that the original four / nine patch pattern has disappeared 👻. Does that help? Xx Ps My phone suggested the ghost emoji so he got to stay to make us all laugh 😁 (I’m easily pleased 😂) x
@@QuiltWithKim lol at the ghost! Even algorithms understand culture.... Another thing was do you have any QAYG videos? Have you ever made quilts that way?
Thank you..Lots of great information!
You’re very welcome ☺️ x
