I done a lot of FMQ. Your tips are spot on. One thing on my machine is that it doesn’t like to quilt in a northwest direction. For a short distance it’s ok but any length and it leaves a thread nest underneath. Then it will carry in and quilt fine again. Any advice on that? Also something I had trouble with recently was the bobbin. I’ve had my machine for quite a while. Finally saw the plastic bobbin wasn’t level. Hard. To explain.
Hi Anne, hmm that sounds weird re your machine not wanting to quilt in a northwest direction. Have you had it serviced recently? There might be something mechanical stopping it/causing an issue. If your bobbin isn’t sitting correctly…have you got the correct size bobbin for your machine as not all bobbins are the same? They vary in diameter as well as ‘height’. Thinking about it, that might solve your NW stitching/ nest issue 🤔 Let me know and we’ll see if we can figure out together. Kim x
