Takedowns in MMA, Wrestling or any other grappling based combat sport that allows leg attacks, need to be drill relentlessly in order to gain the most proficiency you can. Utilising a grappling dummy for solo training and practise is one way you can be working even without a partner.

I've been using these instructional videos on my 90lb dummy. And it has helped me taught my self wrestling takedowns. And movement. It is amazing, thanks.

Is it better to get a taller or shorter one? I'm about 5ft 7in. I'd like a 6ft dummy, but will it simulate an opponent in crouch height well or should I go for the 5ft dummy? Is this even a concern? Thanks for a great vid.

Clinch, dirty box with Greco style, muay thai clinch, sweeps and judo types maybe a lil more upright close to our hght, but for this style wrestling posture hght for wrestling crouch definitely a lil shorter as you mention.
