I was noticing how useless it is just to touch the leg when we were going live the other day. I never remotely feel in danger and don’t react, but definitely would if they lowered themselves all the way with their head positioning.
the fist half of this video is equal to five years of wrestling im not kidding iw wrestled as varsity captain and I didnt even know this stuff. It’s legit
Bro Even the way you moves in general it just better lol your technique is so clean and crisp i really like the way you explained that your pump fakes look amazing i understand a lil better when you practice everyday so when i practice i try to practice like its live meaing i practice the way i want to perform for the kost part - 15 percent but definitely should practice hard and practice like it counts
Not a wrestler so nice to see far ankle tip… in bjj it’s more common for people to try to get to guard once they feel they’re beat (probably not going to happen in wrestling) so I try to grab the knee, far ankle, and put my weight on top to block their legs and hopefully end up in side control or half/quarter guard to mount or side control. Thanks for a great video for a dummy like me
1:17 im so glad you addressed the stance matching bc i see that mirrored stance all the time in technique videos and thjnk to myself, "theres no way there are that many lefties in wrestling." Do you go into detail elsewhere in the instructional about why we should do this? And what about if our opponent looks to stance-match too?
Absolutely, I've always said a wrestler who is competent at bjj and a bjj grappler who's good at wrestling can really be a problem for everyone on the mat
@@mannycalvar4254 I'm not a good wrestler and never was but now that I'm working with a bjj black belt who has a wrestling background it's changed my comp game up
When Bo says to match the lead leg, is that a mirrored stance or is the the depth you step into? At first Bo had his left leg forward and then his right in subsequent displays. Thanks and this is good stuff!!!
Hard to say! Muay Thai is awesome and the fighters are tough as nails. Maybe posture up and create space since Thai boxers are used to the clinch! It may expose their legs to another takedown attempt in MMA, though! Can’t forget about knees and elbows if you shoot a takedown!
I worked as a bouncer for several years every time some jujitsu grappling Dipshit came in there thought he was tough. He ended up with a free ride to the hospital.
Thanks ill practice these techniques on my local homeless man.
You gotta practice anytime the opportunity arises, I guess 🤷♂
It’s all fun and games till a Hobo sticks you with a dirty needle 😂
@@AthletesOcean hahahahaha😂😂 i would love to see you in a freestyle against Chimaev or Ikram

It's rare to be a great competitor and instructor. Bo is very impressive. Alot of good details.
We agree! Thanks for the comment!
Bo didn't just teach me a lethal snapdown, he showed possibly the best way to get to a collar tie that I never knew about! He's the man!
Can you Tell us about the way to get the collar tie?
You can tell Bo has been working heavy on striking. That nose is getting flatter by the minute

I think he means mirrored stance as that’s going to be the same side your collar tie is on as well
Great tip on the snap down

I am suffocating just watching this, it is like being smothered by a tidal wave.
How to exert the forehead to collar pressure on a taller and heavier opponent?
