I am so sorry this happened to you! I was in south of England in 2020 and got the chance to meet a handful of people who were born there and they told me how inefficient and unsustainable the NHS has become.. that if teeth need too much work to be saved, they will pull them out instead of repairing them. That Brits got to Turkey for medical tourism.. I live in Los Angeles and have insurance from work, but some of my friends do not have similar coverage, so they go to Tijuana for care.. I never knew this was something that is done often, but apparently Tijuana is the place where many Californians go for care. It is ridiculous!
Yeah it wasn't always this way in Canada but even 16 years ago when I was going through IVF to have our first sone, it took 6 months to get to see the doctor. I feel it has gotten so much worse in Canada and I hear these same horror stories from the US citizens. Isn't it one of the top reasons that people file for bankruptcy in the USA, medical debt? Now that we are in El Salvador and starting a business I think we have found a need that we can fill, stay tuned!
I don't think so. We have friends here who have already shared their stories with us and we are impressed at the professional care they got. And it was timely care, not like in Canada.

As an Ortho and Hand surgeon doing my practice here i must say that healthcare not always is as fast as people want..working in a public facility is not easy..some of my patients got to wait for me as long as 3 hours..and that is because nobody else do my job..but me..nobody is left unatended even though not all patients want to wait a long time to be seen by a Specialist..😶

In Canada you have to wait months or years to get referrals to specialists.😢
