No, Jez has never been competent musically and is always looking for a way to coast his way through life, he will happily manipulate and steal his way to the top without any sense of guilt.

"Spinning the narrative" the way you want people to hear the story to paint you in the best light possible. A spin doctor is somebody who's job it is to come up with the way the story will be spun. In this episode Mark is worried about how Sophie will spin the story of the wedding to all of their coworkers before he has a chance to spin his own, hence the "spin war".

It wasn't so much seen as the serious crime it rightly is seen as nowadays. I know this is a comedy and a light hearted reaction, but if you are indeed under the misapprehension that paedophilia was always seen as utterly repugnant, it's a potentially dangerous misapprehension.🤷♀ And it is still being pushed by some morally bankrupt low life's, like those men who read stories to children in drag.
The first of Dobby's eps & the only one in which she's fun. She starts off as a fun character, but goes downhill badly, massively overstaying her welcome, dragging PS into its s8 low.
