2016 and 2017 Camaro Seat Repair with Service Bulletin

The new Camaro is awesome but like all new first year cars there are a few issues. Over-all very few with the 2016 Camaro SS so I'm not complaining. In this video I go over the most common issue with the new 2016 and 2017 Camaro SS and how I am going to fix mine. That most common issue is the seat material (cloth or leather) separating from the seat back release handle area. GM does not like for the public to see these service bulletins and for good reason, they don't want you screwing up your own car. Don't attempt this repair yourself unless you are certain what you're doing. As Always thanks for watching and hit that subscribe button if you haven't already. My 2012 camaro reclining seat is jam and it is reclining all the way back. Any advise ?

I just got a 2016 Camaro last weekend, is the passenger seat supposed to be height adjustable? Mine only go back and forth but not up or down. The recline well both sides don’t recline so u can sleep but it works.

The passenger seat doesn't go up and down just driver. At least in my 1ss. They also don't recline very far. Not the most adjustable seats for sure. I came across a forum post about a modification you can do to the seat to make it recline further. Idk anything about the mod other than it exists. Good luck!

@@ClaytonYatescarenthusiast thanks for the reply. I was looking at forums and there’s a mod where you can remove a stopper from the seats and it will recline more but I’m actually very comfortable in my new to me 2016 v6 Camaro with Bose radio and only 44,000 miles on it

I know the is a long time ago but I was hoping you or someone knew how to remove the bezel. It is clipped in somehow and I don't want to break it trying to remove it.

MojaveKY mine showed up right away. look closely about 1 inch back from the seam that runs vertical to the latch trim ring slightly under the ring for the head of a push pin. may have been fixed already.

CreatedinLA they have an early stop point. mine don't recline back very far.

CreatedinLA it has an early stop point because otherwise it would hit the rear seat. So what I would do I check to see if it is normal is move the driver's seat all the way back and then recline the seat until it stops. next see how much room you have between the rear seat and your seat back. if it looks tight then you'll know it's working right.

Can i contact my Chevy dealer and have them fix this? Mine just started doing this and im trying to fix it before it gets worse

Marco Rodriguez yes, as long as still under 3 year 36k miles. sometimes they will send it to an upholstery shop for repair.
