What a historical moment. I finally found someone who likes "Beverly Hills" as much as me or at all. This has made my day. Haven't heard any of the SZNZ stuff, and my obsession with needing to have everything on day one fell off oddly enough after what you rate as the best. I know I'm in the relative minority of being kinda meh toward the White album I am happy to know I'm not alone in feeling better about Red and Make Believe, but placing them above Maladroit just seems a bit insane to me... then again most people thinking crazy for considering it their best. Most questionable point of difference will have to be Hurley though. I could never get into that album. I'm not quite sure how I would tier list them, but here's how I rank their albums minus the SZNZ stuff: 1. Maladroit 2. Pinkerton 3. Blue 4. EWBAITE 5. OK Human 6. Red 7. Make Believe 8. Green 9. White 10. Van Weezer 11. Black 12. Pacific Daydream 13. Raditude 14. Hurley 15. Teal
I don't mind pacific daydream either. For the same reason as you. It felt genuinely new and fresh, a very bold new take for weezer. But I can't say the same thing for black because it felt like a lesser version of pacific daydream. The black album had so much hype surrounding it before release about this super dark weezer record. Which might've been my problem I admit. I expected something heavier, guitar focused and better writing. But I also felt the concept just does not work with the pacific daydream sound like on " Living In La". Or the horrifically vapid and surface level observation about things that made him sad like on "The prince that wanted everything"

dude you need to listen to raditude again, hear me out, it's not a masterpiece sure but it really holds up and is a fun album overall it's so overhated you need to listen to the raditude I swear it's really good when you can understand the rad in the tude please 'you cant argue with taste and colors' yes i can and i will because raditude is amazing it could cure diseases if people just gave it another chance, put me back together is top 5 weezer and underdogs is top 3 and i will not elaborate it's just that good. now if you're wondering if I want you to, I want you to listen to that album right now, and enjoy the raditude, it will be the best choice you will make in your day, it will change a lot of things and you might finally reach the weezer enlightenment.
