I worked 10 yrs in the best Italian Rest in NY (Venice Restaurant _ a family traditional rest. For 50yrs, pure italians) and this is exactly the way the do it, just adding a tbsp of flour to thicken the sauce, served with pasta covered with the same sauce, it is the best marsala Y'all can also do it with veal. Chicken francesse does goes with lemon as well but with just plain cooking wine and the chicken you have to use eggs and flour, deep fry it and doesnt go with mishrooms, just garnish with parsley. Blessings!
In New York " Italians" are not real Italians: Their ancestors landed in NY in the 20ths. None could speak a single word of Italian. By the way, what does it mean "chicken franceSSe?" do you think it's an italian word? Really?
I think you confused Chicken Marsala with Chicken Francasie. You never use Lemon in this dish and where is your thickening agent? either add more butter at the end or thicken with corn starch/flour.
She didnt confuse anything , she has had her own cooking show on tv for years and knows exactly what she's doing , there are no food police , Recipes can be altered anyway you like .
It's a twist on marsala. For me it's chix broth marsala gravy with garlic and shallot and some mash potato side. But I would like to try this Mary's way also, but with a spaghetti side. Mangia!
I didn't lick the screen (this might taste good?) but by the looks of it this recipe is missing the dark red color a typical marsla has. Although she did make one disclaimer....7:12..."This is a true Italian American recipe." Glad to see she is more educational on cleaning.

Needs garlic and some shallots in the mushrooms
This Chicken Marsala with Mushrooms recipe looks so delicious Chef Mary Ann.
Simply terrible! I am sorry but you never use lemon in Chicken Marsala! You must add chicken broth and cream!
@Kash James 😀

+nmfd72 , lol. good catch.
If, that mess was on my plate. I would cover it with cheese, just to hide it.

The sauce in my opinion is too watery. I would thicken it.
No that's the fat American version. She is from Italy. She's showing you their way. That's what her show is about.
If you mix the remaining flour with egg and romano cheese, you can make savory dumplings.
Wow! You are handling all your kitchen tools without washing your hands first after touching the chicken??? Ouch!
No lemon. Prosciutto goes well in here.
Fortified sweet Marsala, and lemon? I don't think so! This looks horrible!
The most absurd version of that dish on the internet. Basta!
Lemon and Marsala? Awful combination it ruins the taste of the Marsala
She got confused with chicken franchise..I never put lemon in masala.
I'm a 1 pan girl too. Tried this it a new go to

Sauce needed to be thickened with flour and butter to make a roux. Then add the marsala wine. Never added lemon juice either.
Hope cooking is alway better, healthier, and more cost effective. Period.
And she did it in 9:05 minutes, wow!
the point of the flour is to thicken the sauce..ie..after the chicken is cooked..and lemon is for chicken piccata not chicken marsalla
A multitude of recipes call for lemon juice in chickem marsala. It really brightens the dish.
Tip always tenderize the chicken, veal, meats between saran wrap its a tad safer and easier to clean up.
She is Italian Like I'm Nunavut Native.
Thanks for the recipe but this needs chicken stock, garlic and shallots.
Thank you...
Sweet Marsala? Lemon juice? What? From where is she?
Very good
What's so good about it..
were have you been
no offence but , this is not the way chicken marsala should be cooked . you did everything wrong.
Some chicken stock would round out the dish, give it a deeper flavor.
uncjim not really. I did that last time. I like the clean bright punch not muddied. But that's just me.
Absolutely no chicken stock goes in this recipe !!
Did I miss something on this recipe??, didn't see any garlic and shallots in it, and lemon juice?

Lemon juice? Why?
She thought she was making franchise.
I can tell you right now folks! Its not thick enough!
STEEZ hahahhaha omg
That's not all that's wrong with it..

I’m sorry to say but this is not even close to the proper way to make this dish.
No garlic or shallots? Italian?
I would like to see a one pan dish meal that cost under $10.00.
What, no garlic? And lemon? Blasphemy!
Soup
Needs some crotch powder.
This is a terrible way to cook this recipe... dont do it.
🐔🐔🐔 with🍋 no good my dear.
I would use as less salt as possible.

Yes lemons are used in this dish!
Your kidding..
I’ve been making my chicken Marsala this way for years now and I never seen this video before ❤️❤️❤️😋😋😋
Your kidding..
Horrible
I feel dumber for watching this video.....Yuck! This reminds me of a chicken broth that was made from the shadow of a chicken that starved to death.
