The torrent shell is great value for money and for most occasions is fine. But I recommend the calcite jacket if you can afford as it’s gore tex so impermeable. Nothing worse getting caught in heavy rain and your jacket leaks.
It would be very helpful if under the picture of each jacket you posted the name of each jacket. First jacket in, out of five, and I'm already having to slide back to the beginning of the segment to remember the jacket model name. Now I'm taking notes before we hit numbers 2 through 5... Thanks!
Got my Patagonia down Jacket at 50% discount…these is still cheap at regular price with 800 fill goose down compared to my Canada Goose Parka and Mackage puff down jacket!
Go with the Patagonia city storm parka you won’t be disappointed. It’s by far the warmest jacket I’ve ever had and I wear a t shirt underneath of it In temps like that
I’d love loads of Patagonia, but they are mega bucks. Craghoppers can produce 80 per cent functionality of these for next to no money and have lifetime warranties, too.
Craghoppers make more budget friendly clothing. Patagonia and other leading brands invest a huge amount of time and money in R&D, R& D into products that work better, last longer and in Patagonia's case, are far far more environmentally friendly/ sustainable. Sure there is no comparison between the cost of Craghoppers and Patagonia no . . . . . . . . but there is no comparison between their products either . . .and I own both.
Nice video, but I was wondering how's Down Sweater better than Hi Loft's model, if latest is warmer..... I tried both, and only advantage for Down Sweater was the fit.
In live in a dry cold area, so I decided for hi loft over regular down sweater. Fill weight for hi loft is good, about 177 grams, so keeps you warm even if you are standing. Only issues are related to size/fitting, Im 5,8 ft (1.73 mt) and 140 lb and Im using medium size, but it is quite baggy. Small size was slimmer fit, but sleeves were too short. Regular down sweater was a more accurate / better size than hi loft.
Great review but I think your weights are off.. nanopuff is not 1.4lbs (11.9oz) and the torrentshell is definitely not 4lbs. (13.9oz) ... also I personally would have put the micro puff on this list, but the nanopuff is definitely a classic.
Everybody knows the best 5 jackets are actually: 1. 80s retro x oatmeal blue 2. MARS snap T 3. Lightning snap T 4. 90s retro x oatmeal blue 5. 04 retro x oatmeal blue
Personally, I would go with the Nano Puff. They are very similar but the Nano has pockets and as far as I have looked, the Micro does not. Also, the Nano puff is near $50 cheaper (depending on where you look). The Micro does look a little nicer imo but not $50 nicer. All that said, I'm more into functionality and deals overlooks so you need to take that into account as well.
Patagonia employee here. Micro Puff is better over all. 100g lighter, packs smaller, and warmer. The plumafill insulation tech is newer and proprietary whereas the primaloft in the nano is just about everywhere nowadays. It has a better loft but requires less stitching and support keeping it lighter. Yes it has pockets, yes it comes with a hood. Fits a bit tighter as it is more technical than the nano puff. Only “down” side I can think of is the outer shell is thinner, so not quite as tough. Much better under a shell too. Hope that helps!
This video was out before AI content was a thing lol. How can you even say that and not think twice about it? Lol. Also, that’s straight from their website so if you got beef, take it up with them lmao. 😂
You say there's no hood, but you do realize you got the non hoody version right? Also, 4/5 of these jackets pack into their pocket. Do you even own any of them? Were you drunk when you made this video?
I didn't realize that I was looking at the noon hooded version. Thanks for pointing that out. I try and do the best research I can but worth how often product change it's hard to make sure in getting it all correct. Thanks for your info though.
Stilez are you a complete overly factual douche all the time or just most of the time? This is a good review and covers the necessities, not the useless points that you brought up.

The Nano-Puff also has the "stuffs into its own pocket" feature. .
Better sweaters are the best sweaters I have ever worn, I own 4 of them and it’s all I wear. They are well worth the price.
Why do you have 4?
@@susankaempfer8427 maybe because he want different colors of it because he like how it fits?
PSA/FYI: You can use a “sweater stone” to get rid of the pilling that occurs over time. Helps a lot!
a nice little versatile jacket for 30s-60s is the diamond quilted bomber hoody. extremely comfy and layers well.
New version of the nano air hoody is my favorite jacket. Worn it everyday since I got it👍
I got my Nano-Air on half off. Wish I had the hood!
Better sweater is the best. Even without a shirt.
The torrent shell is great value for money and for most occasions is fine. But I recommend the calcite jacket if you can afford as it’s gore tex so impermeable. Nothing worse getting caught in heavy rain and your jacket leaks.
yes, i have both toreren shell and calcite, I agree with you.
I love my Down sweater!🇺🇸
This is the best channel I’ve stumbled across that has the lowest subscribers... deserves far more!
Wow, that really means a lot. Thanks!
I'm curious how many times adventure was mentioned in this vid. Love it
The Patagonia down sweater has had a hooded version for many years.
In Argentina, in Patagonia. we have Ansilta, you should look at them!
What is their website? 👍🇦🇷
I was deciding between the nano puff and the insulated quandary jacket but I ended up with the quandary instead and it's perfect
I was really in between those two for this list also.
Hi, I’m also deciding between these two jacket, do you know if which one is warmer than the other? Thanks!
It would be very helpful if under the picture of each jacket you posted the name of each jacket. First jacket in, out of five, and I'm already having to slide back to the beginning of the segment to remember the jacket model name. Now I'm taking notes before we hit numbers 2 through 5... Thanks!
That’s a good point. I’m make sure to do that in my next videos. Thanks!
Just released my top 5 carhartt jackets video with your suggestion on leaving the jacket title up. Tell me your thoughts!
I love the down sweater the most, torren shell second then the better sweaters . love your Video

I had never heard of them. Those prices are hard to beat.

I doubt the down sweater weighs 8oz. I think it's more like 13oz. Great upload!
Brandon: "Remember, these are at the top of the industry". Arc'teryx: "....-_-"
Ha ha I'm working on that one.
The down sweater jacket has two options. Hood and no hood. Not sure if you knew that
That makes a lot of sense. I must have not looked very hard ha ha because now that you said that I feel like I see them everywhere. Thanks!
Yep, same jacket ‘cept has a hood; retail is $279.
Can you help out with some of the sites where one could find these jackets on a deal
Can we get an Arc’teryx video similar to this? Great video
Thanks! I'll jump on that one next. Good suggestion.
@@TechGearClothing did you end up making this video?
Yassss!!! Patygonnyiah!!!
You know it dog!
Can you also wear these jackets on a daily basis like not going into the mountains, just go to school or is it too warm?
Absolutely. They are a premium Warmth option and will do very well for that.
This guy is down with the 420 fo sho.
Bet.

What do you think of the Patagonia isthmus jacket?
SR.A I have one and I love it. Very warm and fits perfect
I like these jackets because of the fact they don’t break the bank and are affordable.
wouldn't say necessarily affordable but definitely worth the money
Order the Down Sweater ☺️ Thank you for this reviews.
