How to forge a flower

This is a clip of forging a flower using the technique from Brian Brazeal. Very good practice and efficient way to make a nice decorative feature that can be used in a ton of ways. Forging flowers is a great way to practice a lot of different techniques as well.

You should move camera so it is looking down on the face of the anvil when you start forging the flower. Also show the shape of the punches. Nice flower. Thanks.

Definitely a good idea. I’m planning on going back through and remaking a lot of my videos. Partly because of what you are describing and partly because my editing skills have improved lol.

So this is a 225# anvil and I just have it secured to a stump so I can move it in the shop. Ideally I’d have it bolted to the floor and have almost zero energy loss. But I have to find a happy medium between ideal energy loss and shop functionality.

​@Bifrostforge22 I made a steel anvil stand it's sitting close to the gas forge n coal forge. Everything esle 9:08 is on wheels other the the anvil n thee power hammer . I put the forge of choice in the middle. Sometimes I use both on the same item.. instead of takin the time to adjust the power hammer.. Sometimes I don't think it's easier tho !! Hahaha
