Great video sir!!!!! I have the same bike myself. And learning how to do basic maintenance. Can you make a video on how to adjusting the chain? The would really help me alot 🙏
what oil filter wrench is that? LOVE THESE VIDEOS! Please make more showing how you remove tires and adjust chain slack, also taking off all fairings. THANKS SCOUTS OUT, best 4RR videos in the world!
ill try man, I want to see how the bike is doing with the tune then ill consider the 520 chain setup and ill defiantly do a vid on that which will shot the front sprocket removal
This video helped a ton. Question: After you are through break-in period, how often do you change your oil? Is it based always on mileage or after track days?
Yea bro it really does, I can't wait to get it unreleased. Yes I watched it it's cool that stuff is coming out so quick for this bike. I ended up gets the works unrestricted tune from tst I'm excited to get that done
Any plans on brakes? I've got the Brembo corta corsa master and res with lines already but our bike has weird mismatched pots inside each caliper so the Cafe's in 108mm won't do. Unless they will...?
Thanks I got the torque wrench. Also is there an extra piece I need to put into the oil filter socket? The link in the description doesn’t fit onto the oil filter
All looks good. I don’t understand that the cold oil with flow thru the engine to protect it but you don’t trust it to flow out the big drain hole cold.
Oil in the engine is pressurized, so regardless of temp the fluid has pressure on it so it can flow. Draining is just using gravity to cause flow. Hence why you need to warm the engine oil so the viscosity is decreased and can flow better.
Been going through your account for the r7 and all I can see is your criminally underrated
Thanks bro I really appreciate that
Great video mate, awesome explanation and beautiful shots💪. The sound of the bike is a dream🤩. Have a nice Sunday and ride on🤙
thanks ck much appreciated, have a good week!
@@ScoutsOut Thanks buddy, you too
I just got my new 2024 ZX4R
I love it!
Hell yea! Congrats on the new bike man
@@ScoutsOut thank you sir!!!! And I’ll definitely use this video for my first service 👍

Thanks man, glad it was helpful and yes I will, tomorrow's video is cleaning the bike/chain and verifying if the chain is in spec

Thanks man, glad there helpful. I’ll definitely be making more for sure
Nice one Scout!! :D
Thanks bro 🍻
Hi, Scout! Would you mind showing us how to remove the small chain sprocket ?
ill try man, I want to see how the bike is doing with the tune then ill consider the 520 chain setup and ill defiantly do a vid on that which will shot the front sprocket removal
@@ScoutsOut awesome, thank you
This video helped a ton. Question: After you are through break-in period, how often do you change your oil? Is it based always on mileage or after track days?
Glad it helped, I stick by the manual unless I take it to the track. I will change it after each track day and swap filter ever other track day
Great video, how dirty was the changed oil? Did you feel the motor runned smoother afterwards?
Not to bad definitely worth doing but I didn’t notice the motor running better or anything just a great preventative measure for all motos
Had to remove my whole side fairing sadly. Hopefully next time filter will come off easier
Damn, yea man its tight and can be hot as hell if you dont want to wait
The new zx4rr has a lot of potential. Did you see the chris moore video I linked.

Oh weird I hadn’t looked into brakes yet but i will admit even not heated up from heavy riding they are squishy
How many liters of oil are needed approximately for an oil change on the ZX4R?
Can I get by without torquing the bolts & just tightening them a bit?
Yea, I don’t recommend it but it’s your bike bro
Thanks I got the torque wrench. Also is there an extra piece I need to put into the oil filter socket? The link in the description doesn’t fit onto the oil filter
What was the torque spec for the drain plug? Was it inch or ft lbs
22 foot pounds
What size of oil filter wrench cup.
Not sure bro, I must have a cheap one cause there is no size on it lol
All looks good. I don’t understand that the cold oil with flow thru the engine to protect it but you don’t trust it to flow out the big drain hole cold.
The oil being warm will help get more of it out throughout the engine when draining it

@@alexv5581 thank you for your explanation.
Is your bike tuned yet?
no, I will be doing a vid on getting out the ECU and sending it in for tune here shortly, I can't wait
@@ScoutsOut , please do a top speed verified with GPS!
Ok I'll try and get that done
Why would you guess how much oil to put into the filter instead of using the right amount, which is listed in your manual smh.
👍🏼
Be careful using the links, I bought the oil filter socket and its the wrong size.
Oh no, I’m sorry bro I will delete it right now
@@ScoutsOut no worries, was able to grab the right one from autozone couple minutes from my house, all good 😎
The more oil you can get in these filters before starting the motorcycle, the better.
For sure
@@ScoutsOut you put 100ml in the filter... how much are you putting in !!?!?
Maybe a 3rd of the filter, if you want to measure out the right amount you can do that as well
