Rewatching this for inspiration. I would love to see more videos like this. Even videos of how things are made, like carving the posts and rail for the wall. Love all the videos. So glad that you have kept this series going after all this time. They are all great to watch and rewatch. Thank you for what you do!
Would love to see more of these types of videos! Maybe even a mini series of you making a new tiki for the breeze way from start to finish? Going through the design process, inspiration gathering, through types of wood stains that make the tikis pop!
Great Video! Making Tiki deco is the best. Maybe like every 4th week do a bar deco video to mix things up. Ha! Craft day with a pin up model!!!...what could go wrong?
Dood! Love it! Super fun video to see some of the things you've made. Definitely do a LAMP episode... or many of them. The lamps are so sick. Would be super fun to even see tutorials on how to make tiki lamps! Love the show.
Yes more on lamps! I’m obsessed with lamps!! Also Rick is a great guy! We met him about 15 years ago and have become friends. He is a great resource for us when we find things for our home.
Do the lamps! I think for fridays there should be the full meal deal videos. It's kind of a nice destination thing. Longer conversations, the outtakes, and the slo mo, maybe do the 12 mins for mid week?
Watching this while I mount the leather tiki carvings I made onto frames I made from the bamboo scraps leftover from the hut bar I built for my patio last summer. Thanks for keeping me inspired!
Would love to see more videos about how to set up your own home tiki bar including the creation of lamps and some of the other intricacies Love these videos!
Would love to see all the lamps, and any other decor you’d we willing to share with us on here! You’ve done an amazing job with the space, feels like you are stepping into a collector’s hut on a remote island
Also, it would be brilliant if you could even do a Timelapse video of one of your builds with a voice over educating us on what you are doing. I know that’s a ton of work, but that could help people endeavor to make their own decor too…. Keep up the great work man! Love the channel!
Would definitely love to see a show just on Tiki Lamps. I am building my on tiki bar in my garage in San Diego and the most expensive items I'm trying to add are lamps. Maybe a guest who also makes them?
Thank you so much for doing this! Please please please please please do a lamps of the breezeway episode! Just started doing building my own swag lamps.
Add me to the list of people who would love to see an entire video just on your lamps! I've been gathering supplies to start making some of my own. Seeing your collection has given me some inspiration. I'm all about it!
Another vote for a lamps episode! I'd love some cool pointers on how/where to hang them, how many you need for decent coverage, best practices for wiring them up/controlling them. Thanks Spike, keep up the awesome work!
OMG Matt, I would LOVE to hear more about how you made the things in your bar! I would say your bar is probably the best home tiki bar I've ever seen and I'm like you, a do it yourselfer and love to hear about how people create their magic!
Hi Spike I would love to see a whole feature on the lamps, as this summer I am going to be building a tiki bar. It is going to be a Dry Bar only serving non- alcoholic tiki drinks and Mocktails since I am only 13 years old.
It's funny I saw all this stuff as a kid an never thought about. It was up there with Brady Bunch Hawaii episode. Now my Hubby and I are appreciating it.
I think you’ve built a lot more. Yes, I’m interested in more details on your works of art. You’re an artist and craftsman and good in front of the camera. Multi talented.
Make 2 wood round shapes for top and bottom make it whatever size you want add chicken wire and with the shells you gonna drill 2 holes to each and with wire tie them to the check wire. I make these all the time i work down at OceanicArts.
Fantastic! MORE! MORE! MORE! You just solved a problem I have had with my home tiki bar: By the time we did a pour on the top and added the trim around it built up so much that the height when you sit at the bar on our stools is out of whack. I often tried to figure out how I can lower the bar (HA!) heighten each stool... instead, I will add a platform under it to raise the floor level!!!!! GENIUS!!! Now it will be the proper height to rest your arms on the bar without feeling like a toddler at the dinner table! MAHALO!!!!
Hi Spike , just discovered you on RUclips. Dig your enthusiasm and "bar side manor". Tiki bars in small spaces like in the corner of the basement where the steps come down. Love to show you what I've done with mine, yes, it's great to be able to use one's own self expression in this uniquely American art form. Aloha, Tiki Daddy🛸
Man, I really love seeing videos on the things you've created. I'd love to see more. I'm embarking on my own home tiki bar build starting this spring and can use all the tips and tricks I can get. Thanks for doing what you do! Cheers!
Would love to see a tutorial for the shell lamp. I am very interested in making one of those for myself but I have not figured out how to do it yet. Yours is stunning!
Awesome video thank you so much for sharing would love to see more you're giving me really good ideas about the whole bar we were building in our basement just wish I was as talented as you aloha
Love the show Spike! Please do an episode on the lamps or tutorials for how to build things for those of us who love tiki but are less artistic or crafty!!
Spike you are quite the artist!! If you ever find yourself saying hey I should build a guy on the central coast something for his tiki bar then keep me in mind lol. Seriously so impressive. You're an artist in everything you do.
Love these types of tiki videos. Yes please, make more!! My interest has always been in what folks have done to create their tiki spaces. Like you, I’ve created lots of stuff for my bar, (but I’ve really needed to as tiki stuff is rarer than hens teeth up here in the Great White North).
I am obsessed. I sought out this video because I am currently putting together my own tiki (orchids of Hawaii) shell lamp. I also live in Massachusetts so I would've never been able to make it to that estate sale but it sounds like an absolute fantasy come true! I am not exactly a lady of means so I make things I want. Though I am very jealous of your stuff you and I are kindred souls and I'm now a new subscriber. Thank you!! Aloha!!
You're having Justin back? Don't you remember what happened last time? 😉 But seriously, love Justin. He's the reason I found your channel in the first place. Classic Style: less is more. Tiki Style: more is not enough.

Also, it would be brilliant if you could even do a Timelapse video of one of your builds with a voice over educating us on what you are doing. I know that’s a ton of work, but that could help people endeavor to make their own decor too…. Keep up the great work man! Love the channel!
