it takes a certain type of bartender to work at a tiki bar. the setup. 5 liquors in a cockatil. prob 12 diff crazy glassware that are super Awkard... diff ice...blenders... lighting shit on fire... kudos to that staff..... i wasnt one of them that could do it
@@liberandco it was great! maybe not quite as good as latitude 29 which i visited in October, but still very good! excited to go back and try more of their drinks.
4:05 It still baffles me that you would use a speed pourer into a jigger. I know some places have a rule you have to do it... but if anything it leads to under-pouring... economically I guess it makes sense.
Been there. Overdone, overcooked, overdecorated, overengineered. Five different rums in one drink = no individuality remains. Confusing excess with ambiance. A chuck-e-cheese for adults.
Sounds like tiki isn't your thing. You don't seem to comprehend that blending multiple bottles in a drink is foundational to tiki and creates a unique flavor profile. Maybe stick to Jack Daniels and Coors Light. Simple tastes for a simple mind.

Tiki Tatsu-Ya looks fabulous!! Awesome video and visit! This looks like a lot of fun! Cheers!! 🙂
It's so cool! Thanks for watching, Christine, glad you enjoyed it!
@@liberandco 🙂
I hear so many great things about this bar! Definitely on my list!!
It's worth the visit, but you'll have to make reservations in advance! It gets busy.
Having been to many tiki bars across the U.S., Tiki Tatsu-ya is definitely a Top 5 experience!
I'm so glad you got to go!
@@liberandco We've gone several times--when we can get reservations!
What a great video so nice to have such an in-depth look at the bar
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! Definitely worth it to see in person if you're ever in Austin.
Oh wow this place looks incredible! Definitely top of list if I make it to Austin!
It's so fun! Make sure to get a reservation.
the cave is one of the best!im jealous.
Their cocktail program is always on point!
Just made a reservation for my birthday there this month! This video sold me on it!

Outstanding looking place! I need to plan a visit!
Gorgeous! Love it!
Tiki Tatsu-Ya is the BOMB! However, their miso orgeat is much too sweet, Liber orgeat is perfect.
It is the bomb! (And appreciate the kind words about our orgeat 😊)
Looks much better than my mai tai
Trader Vic’s is back but only better , way better
We agree!
So this is basically a bar for a generation who enjoyed Rain Forest Café as kids!!! yay!!
But with 🍹~
@@liberandcocount me in!!
Tiki bars have been around before rainforest cafe, you dumb-dumb.
Whoa!
Definitely worth the visit!
Very cool place and nice video except for the hip hop music in the background-doesn’t really lend an exotic Tiki vibe to the images.
Wow. How much Orgeat syrup did he put in that mai tai? They usually only get half an ounce(15ml)
1 oz
@@vividly94 gonna be way to sweet in my opinion.

Only reason I care to go to the liberal dystopia of Austin
the cocktails are ✨
Just no more californians moving here.
We're American, we can go wherever the fuck we want....cheers!

@@SaltyPirate71 Please don’t confuse Tiki mixology with the Alpha Sigma Phi frat open bar. That would be tragic.
How to tell people you have no taste and have no concept of what Tiki is about.
