Smashed the hell out of it. Great video, really insightful. I like that you use stats.
I think i will do a Masters in Marketing now
Aways
Apparently one of the best careers is giving money to this buff dude in the advertisement that keeps listing rich people while showing clips of rented lamborghinies while telling you to buy his course on how to get rich fast
haha 🤣
@@ShaneHummus like god dammit every time I click on a video related to money or economy bamn, this exact same topless dude tells me to buy his course while showing off some different lamborghini he rented
@@vali69 I'm going to watch my videos with an alt account so I can see this ad too lol, might have to make a reaction video to the cringey ads on mine lol...
@@ShaneHummus great idea I would watch that
Is he ever shirtless, passive aggressive or condescending? I'm looking forward to the end of those ads. He needs to stop.
I'm 21 still not in college, cause I didn't even have idea of anything, in school they just expected me to choose and i didnt even know what there is to choose. You're saving me, we're getting back on the track, amazing, comprehensive and up to date info (hopefully cause its 2023 not 2020 haha). Thank you for your videos, keep the work going, I can only imagine how many hours of research it takes. This is the type of content which is really helpful and changes lives. sending love from paris!! peace!
Starting in a month my Computing & IT and Software Engineering degree, watching your vids makes me more confident about what I really want and I am really happy with my choice!
Solid choice
how did it go? did the hard work change your mind ?
This video gives me confidence in pursuing my career in Finance & Accounting/Finance & Economics :D
Nice! Best of luck in your career
Same accounting 🤷♀️
I find it amazing how you take your time to respond to each and everyone of your commenters.
I think every RUclipsr should 😁

Love your videos. They are so informatic.😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Informational
Thank God there is no sponsor but I will give that like 😉
Greatly appreciate it 😊
I’m HEREEEE:) 1.) Very interesting esp on lawyers. I figured we just have TOO many lawyers. I mean they are everywhere. 2.) Doctors......yeah I’m out 3.) Took my accounting classes and the second one sucked lol . I tried to force myself to LOVE it. I can’t 😩. 4.) WOW I FEEL great about entrepreneurship. I love your advice. Thank you always!
And thanks for watching my videos Deema
HAHAHA SO MEE , so what are you gonna major in ?
Informative as usual! I think you should do a video on the top 10 highest paying jobs for introverts.
Great suggestion, I was actually just thinking about that!
YESS
Hey Shane, can you make a list of the best cities in the world to start a startup ?

This is a good one.
I think no. 1 is silicon valley located in california
Awesome video! A suggestion could be maybe explaining the various of choices you have as a software engineer. I’m interested in DevOps so it would be great!

I am still considering engineering, but I think finance is my thing now. I just feel like unless I own the business, it's just feels old to work at a corporation for 40 years until I retire... just my opinion
Just plan it out. Good luck Brody
Definitely a great video, I'm still deciding between Business management or MIS, both are solid but I'm sure you can obtain a management position at a big company without necessarily needing a management degree but not the other way around when it comes to MIS.
Go for it!.. Good luck Anthony
Can you do a video on what type of law makes the most to the least and a video on the pros and cons of law school?

Could you do a video explaining the difference between information technology, information systems, and systems engineering please?

Now they are our bosses. "A" students, working for "C" students.
Right
My mom loves you so much, only if she had a son like you lmao

Consultants generally do extremely well also especially at one of the Big 3 firms
Thanks for your input Cyan
Hi! Can you explain a bit more about what you are referring to? That part about Accounting consultants? Also what big 3 firms?

This video gives me confidence in my plan to get a Masters degree in Marketing so that I can become a marketing manager. I love these videos😊. I might add other degrees like an International Business, a language minor, or Management major later on when I have the money.

Which one of these majors are best money and job wise in the next 5-10 years? Accounting, finance and MIS
I might make a comparison video. Stay tuned
A lesser known high paying career is actuaries. Like sales, marketing, and accounting this skill set will rocket you up the ladder, especially as an entrepreneur afterwards. In the end, everything relies on sales skills. No matter what field you're in, learn sales. You're going to need it to get your job, move up in your career, or to sell your product/service as a business owner.

Being a doctor is very rewarding but someone shouldn't do it just because of the money. They should have a passion for it or some intrest in it.
True
I can’t imagine sacrificing my life for studying and heavy burnout.
The greatest philanthropist is the greatest doctor 🙂
I’m watching your videos and I’m so happy. Because I started off in psychology (as per my mother’s request) and made my own choice to switch to Human Resources. I’ve felt more happy about my decision.

I guess that means I might have to reconsider my career if I want to be a millionaire. Darn. And I already like my future job as an astrophysicist.
Not to mention, I am not too confident with my ability to be an entrepreneur. Even if I somehow got a good idea for space travel, I am not very likely to be Elon Musk. Chances of me becoming a multimillionaire is low.
Which means that I have to save money as much as I can and spend less. And invest.
Not necessarily Jessica.. If you're happy where you are then you dont need to be a millionaire 😊
I also liked to be a astrophysicist before, but now I'm thinking about getting into financial engineering, because I can't imagine myself working at Nasa for example with a low salary and without social life, so I considered financial engineering like the best combination option between entrepreneurs and science
Great video, you should do a video on best degrees for adult students returning to school
Hmmm. I'll keep that in mind
Love from Azerbaijan. You are great person...Really,you are helping us students to know what career to choose. So as I know you a doctor,so in both as doctor and as RUclipsr you are really saving people lives...Good luck.
Thanks
Hey Shane, thanks for that, I’m introvert, which one of them is good for me while I’m not good at math, physics and chemistry?
🌺
what is your opinion on a human reaource management degree?
It's good
Shane Hummus - The Success GPS LMAO
If you want to improve the world, HR is not your friend. HR's job is to prevent the company from over-spending on people. Meaning, they are professionally obligated to not reward work, dedication, experience, or anything like that. Only hire the cheapest workforce, don't keep the expensive people. That's real-life human resource management.
Awesome video Shane. Your videos are now my favorite
Thanks Wilson
Hi Shane, great info in the video. Can you please tell us about careers in Quantitative Finance MSc? Much obliged 😁🤟
Stay tuned for that
can you do a video of on how people in the medical field can still become an entrepreneur as well?
Sounds interesting. Stay tuned
Shane Hummus - The Success GPS yes please
Right now the future is in Biotech, Biomed engineering, the classic start your own clinic etc. Go into one the those fields and work to gain experience until you have a idea worth following then pursue it (remember to raise and save the capital to fund your ideas as well.) Biotech startups are behaving in the same way that early tech startups in the 90s and 2000s did.
I like these old videos because they don’t have pitches from Shane to go into digital marketing or tech sales. Then I realized wait…both of those are kind of mentioned even in this old video. Shane says go into sales in a good field like tech and also talks about how the digital world is changing marketing 😂
hey shane could you do a video on stuff for law like court reporting, videographers, parallegals etc?

I plan to study marketing and sales! I’m an introvert!
Hi Shane, I’m 28 and in nuclear project engineering. I’m not really enjoying it. I don’t really know how to make a plan to get something I could enjoy more + make more. Some days I feel it’s too late to go back to school to possibly go in the medical route. Would love to discuss a solid path forward.
A bachelors degree is usually enough to get into medicine and depending on how much you know about biology will help you get in,I am not sure about the USA but usually the requirement in Australia is a Gpa of 5.0 and a GAMSAT of 50,I would recommend doing self study to gain more knowledge about medicine and have a good understanding of the human or animal anatomy, depending on what you want. Please just note this is from my research, most Doctors are also older individuals with an average age of approximately 52 years old.
As per Dave ramsey study of millionaire the top three are engineer, accountant and... teacher!
Thanks for sharing that
Great research Shane! Thanks
Thanks

Hey Shane!! I have a vid idea, how to increase the value of degrees to be more valuable in the market.
Hmm sounds interesting
@@ShaneHummus it is like how can the collective degree holders in a not so ideal field can move as a whole to make the degree more useful.
What website do you use to look at job growth and salary?
It's on the description
Im in high school and we're choosing our course for next year based on what careers we want but I have no Idea what I want.
I really want to be a English major but I know job options are limited so I'm thinking of some degree in the business field (I won't major in general business) Finding a happy medium between salary and what you love is ridiculously difficult. It sucks. :/
You got this.. Good luck!
Don't give up! Follow your passion! The opportunities and money will follow suit. I studied English and wouldn't change my degree for anything. I was headhunted by my University after posting a number of technical articles on my school's messaging boards/listservs. It's gotten my foot in the door and helped me launch my career as a Knowledge Manager/Engineer. Having a strong command of the English language is so, so valuable in any job or career. You can make it work for you!
Can someone tell me if being a cooperative lawyer is worth it.BTW nice video👍
What about music industry?
Musicians make millions, they maybe music producers or sound designer or who works in film/tv.

Hey man! What do you think about an associate degree in medical assistance? Can you please guide me for choosing the right health career. Also, I came to know that physician assistant is not an associate degree. People were commenting it's a 6 year degree! I'm confused... is medical assistance and physician assistance one and the same thing? And if not! Then would you recommend MA? Anyone here having any information about Cuyahoga Community College?
PS- I'm a 4year degree holder in bachelor of physiotherapy. For some reasons I don't wanna work in my country. Plus, I don't have that patience of going through a 4 year University cycle. Guys any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Noted.. I might make a video that would answer that. Stay tuned
@@ShaneHummus 🙏 If you don't end up making a separate video on this... then please let me know in the comment section only. Or you can slipin this topic in one of your other Heath career videos.
Would be really grateful.
Thanks love from India 🇮🇳
Medical assistant and physician assistant are different. Physician assistants require a masters degree. Physician assistants are normally the first assistant in surgery or see patients in just like a doctor. That can diagnose and prescribe medicine like a doctor but needs their work to be signed off by a doctor while billing.
Please make a video on jobs that will be automated and ones that are future proof? As a lot of jobs that are thriving now will be
automated e.g. Accountants

I don't know if I'll ever be a millionaire but that's more because of my lifestyle. Being in Software I can work from my laptop in the park for just 4 hours a day and make a very healthy living. Could I make more if I worked more? Absolutely! But that would require more work and less play, time with family and time with myself.
Best of luck Merriden
The life is short the money is important if we are alive we can find it. but family is something more important than money if we lost we can't easily get back just make work - life balance. if we can't be a millionaire but we can rich in happiness. but it your choice. having a lot of money will make life better 😉
