Great interviews! I like how it wasn't just a bunch of bankers or tech millionaires, but rather people from a variety of career backgrounds. The common thread was that they all seemed to have very focused and driven personalities - driven to find career success, driven to learn from failures, driven to take care of their physical and mental health, and driven to continue to learn.
I've been an Equinox member for over a decade. I'm a health coach and write it off on my taxes 😆. I am a member at one of their exclusive gyms at the highest level. At the same time, I also was a trainer there when it was owned by another high end chain. Equinox is the best investment in my health. And at the same time, gives me the motivation to keep building my business to enjoy luxuries like this and not worry about it.
I would have to agree with Sunny, most people don’t enjoy the gym and Equinox provides a gym experience that really isn’t comparable to other mainstream gyms or local gyms. The amenities provided alone do give a luxurious feel without having to pay unnecessarily high. Joining equinox is one of those decisions I made that had to be more involved than other gym memberships I previously had. It's not cheap, I don't think anyone, well most Equinox members at least, would argue that fact. With that cost comes some considerations with other spending we do regularly. Instead of burning money on multiple days of the week drinking and eating out, cut some of it, make healthier food and put the extra to the gym membership. It required some introspection and even if I didn't need to cut spending on things, it made me realize the self-destructive habits I had and needed to be worked on. Also, part of why I love this place is that everyone is there for a purpose: to improve themselves while being respectful to everyone around them. I've not had a day at the gym where others will make you feel weird, conscious or unsafe. The members, staff and the especially the environment is just very accommodating for everyone. Lastly, if you're the type that is always on the go. A consistent class schedule, solid equipment availability and well maintained amenities do go a long way in making the gym going experience more enjoyable. I go before and after work so a nice clean shower room is so nice to have. Big plus is that I've not had the types of people who record and get mad if you're in their videos.
That yoga teacher looks great for his age! I've been doing and loving yoga for months now and I've been thinking about becoming licensed to teach it as well so I appreciate his advice on that
Love how so many of them recommend simply not spending money on things you don't need as a way of building wealth. I lost my job at the start of the pandemic and went to work at a big box warehouse for a while. I was surprised by the fancy cars the other workers drove, the expensive shoes and clothes, etc. We were making $20/hr. Makes no sense. Now that I'm back to a regular job and making a good salary, I still drive my older Toyota and invest instead of buy things I don't need. Feel bad for the warehouse workers though.
@@KK-pm7ud That's because they already made it and they also view it as an investment on their mental and physical health which benefits their business. It's not expensive for someone who makes hundreds of thousands per year for years. It doesn't get in the way of their financial goals. The saving advice is for people on the come up who haven't made enough to splurge... they will never grow their business if they always blow their profits on luxury items.
Hearing those L.A. rent price tags certainly makes me grateful for mine here in Michigan. I do miss my Miracle Mile studio apartment @ Wilshire + La Brea!!! Hard to believe rent was just $1165 in the heart of it back when I paid it 2014 to 2017. Still miss everything that came with it!
Kateri had great points about college and learning from others different from you. It’s not just about what you major in. I couldn’t imagine not learning the things I did in college, through my social mentors, friends and interactions. You learn through experience from not only yourself , but countless others. This goes for mistakes and successes

This video literally answered the exact question I had just a few weeks ago. I am obsessed with awesome gyms around the world, and while in the USA I visited an Equinox. Walking around, my mind was racing trying to figure out how all of these people afford this gym, and WHAT do they do for a job! I can't believe this video popped up for me shortly after. I took away so many golden pieces of advice from this - it definitely inspired me to be an Equinox member one day!!!! *when I move out of New Zealand haha*
I always wondered who worked out at Equinox because I sure don’t have the income for it just yet haha. Crazy to see how many people were self employed and had their own business. That’s the dream! Loved this video Charlie.
Can't believe content like this is free. People take everything for granted nowadays that we forget just a few years ago insights like this, though barely scratch the surface, are only available if you're really well connected or have decent amount of resources.
Crazy how legit that David guy is, super humble, super down to earth, dude just got a good head on his shoulders and a strong work ethic. That dude is fucking legit!
This was really refreshing to watch, I'm currently on my way to achieving financial freedom and loved how all of these people have very similar mind sets as each other and myself. So I know that I'm definitely choosing the best path by investing in myself and learning that one profitable skill so that I can market myself and do positive things for people.
Hey Charlie, I love these interview type videos as it gives me a fresh vibe from your channel and they are also value-packed. I would love to see more of such value packed videos. Keep them coming :)
yea we need a whole interview with the first dude. he genuinely is giving advice that works for people regardless of where they live. If you can find a way into Hedge/Speculative fund management you're set regardless of where you live in the US.
Daytrader here, stock options are the most riskiest asset classes. I do not recommend it to newer people, people who don’t want contribute a lot of time, and not enough capital. Like the guy said, he lost $200k in one day. That’s not rare, it’s common for many people. He was lucky and recovered while many many couldn’t and lost it all, their life savings and emergency funds. Stick to safer investments.
@@loumulet im guessing sucken cost fallacy or gamblers, since they technically are gambling. You never know when a war can happen or pandemic that completely would change the market
@@loumulet because I am good at it. I didn’t gamble too much unlike others when I first started. However, I did lost money when I first started out, when I was 18. But I did learn and learn. I was 18 at the time so I had the whole world/time to learn it. Btw I started at 16 but due to school didn’t had the time. If I was a lot older and a job I would probably wouldn’t and I would’ve gamble some of my savings. Stocks is the game of losers and winners. Each trade you buy or sell is someone’s win or loss.
I come across financial channels when I can, and I’m glad I can add another one to my list to watch. It’s a pleasure to come across this channel and can’t wait to learn! Thank you, Charlie!
Very informative. I am currently 26 and for the past years I have always said I want to invest in stocks or something that will provide me with a good amount of returns but it's easier said than done. You really need to know what you are doing if you don't want to lose your money. I have yet to start investing, I just keep procrastinating on doing research and also life gets in the way.
Kateri has it right! Your SELF should be the most expensive thing you own! Vitamins, exercise, grooming, dental, hygiene, you should be spending the most on your mental, physical, and spiritual health.
I have watched too many videos on homeless and drug/mental issues that made me feel hopeless for this country. This video kinda cheered me up. There are still some sane people in CA.
Yup! My friend spends 400 a month on Pilates/Gym & she said she’s actually saving money now since she’s not going out spending money on alcohol and going out
My office overlooks this gym, always neat to hear the exotics roll up and then peak out the window to see what it is. Good lunch spot for a healthy meal too!
Good interview, mostly because you asked good questions that weren't presumptive--well done. I noticed many of them mentioned networking and social skills; one thing that cannot be taught in a classroom.
You will notice a lot of people will talk about the first guy. What you need to realize is in his career path 98% fail, if you argue you made it then, good for you, you are the 2%. Is that the chance you wanna take? Such a high-risk career. He said 400k the next year he could be down 500k. Just go with your traditional route to success.

if humans didn't need to eat ... that would sure take away a lot of burdens.
i spend ab 1k-3k on food a month so yes this is accurate

This is gold man! Thank you so much for finding people who actually were open enough to share such valuable nuggets with us. And that last girl, I hope you got her number lol
I came lookin for this reply, I was thinkin the same thang lmaoooo
Newton was super wholesome, we should all strive to be more like this man
I agree
Wow they're all so well spoken. Also, those people who were 50+ years old look so much younger than their age!
That yoga teacher looks great for his age! I've been doing and loving yoga for months now and I've been thinking about becoming licensed to teach it as well so I appreciate his advice on that
Yes!
Same. Car is paid off and I’ve got money in my savings/stocks . it feels good to not have expenses I can’t afford like a fancy car etc.
they could be all drug dealers
where do you invest im so loosed man
Ironic given that they spend so much on a gym membership
@@KK-pm7ud That's because they already made it and they also view it as an investment on their mental and physical health which benefits their business. It's not expensive for someone who makes hundreds of thousands per year for years. It doesn't get in the way of their financial goals. The saving advice is for people on the come up who haven't made enough to splurge... they will never grow their business if they always blow their profits on luxury items.
you would be surprised how great the gym is for networking! first guy nailed it
Newton was a breath of fresh air, so inspiring and full of love :’)
Dude the cuts!!! I thought my PC was dropping frames but every second you had a cut - chill.
The one common denominator between everyone is that they’ve all got a good head on their shoulders! Great video and great perspective
David is spot on with his advice
Yup!!
He spoke so well and had such quick responses for a 24 year old. Impressive
this was incredible. They should show this to high school student, and also college students. Come to think of it, everyone should watch this lol.
Show what? How apparently normal full time jobs don’t exist anymore?
@@mathewwilson9776 I like the message that success doesn’t come financially. Invest in your health is just as much as your finances
Yes very inspirational for ideas
Hearing those L.A. rent price tags certainly makes me grateful for mine here in Michigan. I do miss my Miracle Mile studio apartment @ Wilshire + La Brea!!! Hard to believe rent was just $1165 in the heart of it back when I paid it 2014 to 2017. Still miss everything that came with it!
Wow that sounds like a deal. I wanted to live in that area but moved to Los Feliz instead. I’m tempted to move somewhere else but unsure.
first guy totall green flaggggg, humble, grounded and so wiseee beyond his years omg
First person interviewed was definitely very transparent on his answers, which is appreciated. Also very good questions.
Kateri had great points about college and learning from others different from you. It’s not just about what you major in. I couldn’t imagine not learning the things I did in college, through my social mentors, friends and interactions. You learn through experience from not only yourself , but countless others. This goes for mistakes and successes
Damn, makes me wish I went to college. Various life situations and health issues derailed me from that path but maybe it's not too late. Who knows...
@@rssspt go to community college and transfer
@@rssspt ^^ I did that. Majored in STEM, graduated recently, and just got a job making nearly $60k yearly. College works. Enroll, find mentors, and work hard. Good luck!
I tried community College. Mind doesn't work. Just fail no matter how hard I try

this interviewer is asking the right questions everytime
18:13 Good for Lin for pushing her comfort zone, and being the interviewer!!!
All these people have amazing social skills, I'm impressed.
"Failure can be an opportunity to analyze yourself & kick your own butt" great advice from the older guy (Jim)
I always wondered who worked out at Equinox because I sure don’t have the income for it just yet haha. Crazy to see how many people were self employed and had their own business. That’s the dream! Loved this video Charlie.
Every one of your videos are amazing. I get a ton of value from them. Gonna subscribe
Loved this segment, I've always wondered these things when I'm out and people watching, please make more!
Love how the people who are a bit older (in their 50s) look so young! Health is truly wealth.
Impressive how well these people answered these questions. A lot of great wisdom from experience from the people shown in the video @charlie!
I guarantee this video changed a life. Invaluable information here 💯
First interview was excellent. Dude was very transparent and well spoken
Hi am house wives am selling Arabian perfume if interested contacted me thank you
Hey Charlie, I love these interview type videos as it gives me a fresh vibe from your channel and they are also value-packed. I would love to see more of such value packed videos. Keep them coming :)
Very refreshing content. I feel like I've just had a whole semester of MBA at a prestigious university. Keep up the good work!
yea we need a whole interview with the first dude. he genuinely is giving advice that works for people regardless of where they live. If you can find a way into Hedge/Speculative fund management you're set regardless of where you live in the US.
rofl not like just anyone can get into a fund
Daytrader here, stock options are the most riskiest asset classes. I do not recommend it to newer people, people who don’t want contribute a lot of time, and not enough capital.
Like the guy said, he lost $200k in one day. That’s not rare, it’s common for many people. He was lucky and recovered while many many couldn’t and lost it all, their life savings and emergency funds.
Stick to safer investments.
why keep going if you know it's so risky? (genuinely asking)
Scared money makes no money.
VOO VTI or SPHD. Problem solved.
Basically gambling
Just start saving and eliminating debt
Kateri has it right! Your SELF should be the most expensive thing you own! Vitamins, exercise, grooming, dental, hygiene, you should be spending the most on your mental, physical, and spiritual health.
You just earned a sub. That 1st guy really has what it takes. Geez, all his tips are like true-to-life and achievable so.
I have watched too many videos on homeless and drug/mental issues that made me feel hopeless for this country. This video kinda cheered me up. There are still some sane people in CA.
$350 a month... some folks spend that on alcohol... they're not rich dude.. they just set their priorities straight down to health.
Yup! My friend spends 400 a month on Pilates/Gym & she said she’s actually saving money now since she’s not going out spending money on alcohol and going out
@@kennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn1242 or you could not spend money on alcohol AND not spend $300 on a gym membership 😅
When she took the mic, and switched the interview around... thats called chemistry.
My office overlooks this gym, always neat to hear the exotics roll up and then peak out the window to see what it is. Good lunch spot for a healthy meal too!
I got more than I was expecting from this video. I appreciate their willingness to such useful information.
Thank you for putting yourself out there and getting all these gems for us! You rock 🙏🏻
This was actually a really great video with a lot of practical lessons. Thank you for making this video for us!
Good interview, mostly because you asked good questions that weren't presumptive--well done. I noticed many of them mentioned networking and social skills; one thing that cannot be taught in a classroom.
the classroom is quite literally where most people learn to socialize
You will notice a lot of people will talk about the first guy. What you need to realize is in his career path 98% fail, if you argue you made it then, good for you, you are the 2%. Is that the chance you wanna take? Such a high-risk career. He said 400k the next year he could be down 500k. Just go with your traditional route to success.
The first guy, wow! Coming from someone in sales, his advice is spot on! He knows his stuff!! All this was advice I’ve been given.
I love how that one dude brought in some probability when tallking options. The P(A&B) = P(A) * P(B) thing.
I love how engaged and open they are. Great rapport 👏
The fact that this man is 51 blew my mind. Looks amazing
Dude this was a really cool video. Great to get advice from so many different perspectives. A lot of people will watch this and not understand how much value there is in this!
Honestly haven't enjoyed a RUclips video like this in so long! Everyone had something meaningful and valauable to say. Geat video!
