Mate the quality of your content is absolutely outstanding and we all appreciate how much effort you put into it. Look forward to each and every one of your vids, especially those on the golden era. Keep 'em coming!
Hey Andrew. Thanks for those ideas. Just hard/impossible to find any footage of those older guys from the 60s, and with this being RUclips, I don't want to do Photo slideshows or PowerPoint presentations. My editing style is probably already slow enough for the demands of this ADHD generation,.and an old school slow-paced montage would kill things even harder I think
You are too modest Shawn. You are a great interviewer who in does his research, let the guest complete their thoughts, and you always have Insightful questions. Well read and well spoken, you are a nice oasis in the dry desert of bro land that is the fitness podcast world.
My aim is to get better. I have a standard in mind that I'm well beneath at this point, so I'm going to work on my verbal communication and be more mindful of my annoying verbal tics. Hope to have you on again for future podcasts my friend. Really appreciate the support throughout the past year
Love the videos as always. Maybe a Nasser el sonbaty video would be interesting. As he was an interesting character intellectually but one of bodybuildings largest steroid users if not the largest.
Thanks for that positive feedback mate. I'll look into Nasser some more. He may be worth a look at - I'll just have to think of what angle to come in at. Cheers again
Brand new sub. Long-time 'old guy' lifter. New to carnivore. Love the way you put the two together. Appreciate the genuine, down-to-earth content presented in a concise and cogent format. Definitely a place for you here in YT land. Many thanks.
Appreciate you reaching out and giving me that Awesome feedback mate! Did you want to see more carnivore content? There's a few things I can talk more about, but I sometimes wonder how these purely carnivore devoted channels make continuous content on the simple uncomplicated premise of "eat meat-drink water" 😂 thanks again
Be yourself. Do what you want. The carnivore content is crowded enough. Don't get lost in the noise. Same with the fitness content. Crowded. Redundant. Hard to elucidate what connects with me about your channel other than what I've already said. Genuine. Concise. I get fed up with providers bloviating for 35 minutes when they can say it in 11. Again as an older lifter who is dealing with the new realities of age/ability/injury and expanding waistline, I'm trying to figure out how to take it to the next level from the ground up nutritionally. I know how to train now. Can't do it every day. More off days from lifting. More agility, LISS, and heavy bag work. No more tinkering with nutrition. No more calorie counting or macros. With Carnivore as my foundation, I've quit sugar, carbs, supplements, protein powder, seed oils, alcohol, dairy, and melatonin for sleep. Everything all at once. Focus. Discipline. Monk mode. Thinking in terms of years, not weeks or months. 100% prioritization on a healthy lifestyle. And just a month in the results are pretty astounding. I'm not dropping tons of weight, but my training and stamina are strong and I can see and feel my body recomping. Dropping the alcohol has allowed me to sleep again. Too often, people dance around this topic. Anyway, blah-blah-blah. Short story: radical results only come from radical changes. You're doing great! Thanks again.@@carvedouttastone
Your channel is my favourite RUclips body-building channel. A lot of people are glad you had the guts to start your channel. It's unique in that it covers both history and philosophy. The only other BB channels I look at are golden era book worm and John Hansen. Plus Greg Foucette from time to time. And ibthink you are a terrific interviewer. You ask relevant and thoughtful questions that make the interviews engaging and enjoyable to watch. You're a bit too hard on yourself in that aspect. You also cover so many interesting topics that nobody else even thinks of. Must be your carnivore diet that keeps your mind sharp and active. Please keep up the fantastic work
Stefan, I've always appreciated your amazingly kind comments off support on my videos, but this one blew me away. I keep a file of my favorite comments to remind me during the tough times of doing this and I can't thank you enough for your Super Tanks as well. All the best for 2024!
I found your channel when I changed my diet to a carnivore diet and was looking for videos from people with experience doing that diet. That's when I discovered your videos on bodybuilding and I have really enjoyed your content on those. Thanks for all the hard work and good luck moving forward.
Cheers man. I'll probably do some more Carnivore stuff but I don't want to milk the viewership for these videos like some channels do by beating an already beaten horse - I mean, how much can we expand on the concept of "eat meat and drink water", right? I'll talk about a few more experiments I've run in the context of Bodybuilding and how to possibly optimize it's use as a muscle gaining approach
Geez mate that's high praise, indeed. I have certain channels that I feel the same way about, so I'm glad that you really appreciate what I have to say. Best wishes 🙏
Great job Shawn keep up the good work looking forward to seeing what you do in 2024. The history of Bodybuilding is definitely worth talking about much more interesting than the so called fitness influencers today
I really enjoy the great content on your channel and I look forward to in particular the mentioned talk you had with John Little. I hope you take a deep dive into Bruce Lee with him, and maybe even make a few videos from your own research about him.
I'll get back to you with an answer from Marc on that one Ian. Maybe check out the podcast we did a few weeks ago - and in the description you'll see some more links - but otherwise, I'll chase up a solution for you
Hey Martin, appreciate that. I love that it's a small community, I just wish the vids got a few more hits sometimes. I see similar topics on other channels getting hundreds of thousands of views, but ever since the demonetization issue, the channel hit an algorithmic black hole. I'll keep working on making my vids better and hopefully improve their reception. Cheers for the kind support
Great research and story telling, keep up with educating everyone with bodybuilding history
Really appreciated! Thank you so much!

Awesome to hear that Nomad and thanks for always being a regular viewer and contributor to the vids. Best wishes for the New Year mate
Love your open and honest candour and am glad that you are motivated to keep your cool content coming!
All the best for 2024, Shawn!
👍👌💪👊🤩🔥
Thanks always CW.
Do some of the guys from the sixties, like Chuck Sipes, Harold Poole and Chet Yorton.
Love the documentary style with a no bull-shit real commentary.

May the God of the Algorithm bless your channel;)
Eric, I've really appreciated your continued support via your comments and ideas. Thanks always
Excellent channel, excellent philosophy behind it please keep it going I'm one of the old uns and thoroughly enjoy your work.
Really appreciate that Antony. I hope I continue to maintain that standard moving forward. Best wishes
Thanks
Much love

Thanks for the effort you've put in to your work!
And thanks always for your awesome support and comments on the video Iron History
Started watching since around the time the Pumping Iron series was made. Great channel.
That means a lot to know that you're one of those OG regulars that keeps coming back. Really appreciate the support Carlitos 🙏🙌

I like your straight forward reporting manner.
Appreciate it mate. Hope I can continue to deliver and I thank you again for that kind contribution towards the channel 🙏❤️
@@carvedouttastone You're most welcome.
Can I ask, do you plan on dedicating an episode to the legendary Rich Gaspari?

Yes hoping to get to that interview with John and Randy soon. I'll check in with them and make it happen. Thanks for leaving a comment and watching
Bought you a coffee! ☕️
Much appreciated Gimli
Proud of you and the achievements you’ve made this past year ❤️ keep learning and improving! 🙌
Thanks my love 😘
Very good work
I've just tried to watch/download the Dream Big video in the UK. But it seems unavailable.
Any suggestions?
Yes, watch it on Tubi (Google Tubi and Dream Big) Let me know if that works otherwise I'll get Marc to suggest another way. Thanks for commenting!
Sorry, Tubi TV is also not available in 'my area'.
I'll get back to you with an answer from Marc on that one Ian. Maybe check out the podcast we did a few weeks ago - and in the description you'll see some more links - but otherwise, I'll chase up a solution for you

@@carvedouttastone The depth of the research and the people you are involving surely have to pay dividends in the long run.
You are Melbourne AF bro. Which suburb are you in?
Haha, just moved to Perth from Brisbane.

@@SimonMorris-b7p haha it's not much better in Perth. I'm priced out of the take away coffee market these days 😂
