Hey great video, playing, sound, and sentiments. Like you said it really is all about trying to find your self through your influences and other guitar greats. I too just got the Captor X and Runnin was the first recording I did with it. I love this box and just scratched the surface. Was hoping you'd mention the cab, mics, eq & verb settings you used. If my memory doesn’t fail me, I was using some 4x12 Marshall cabs (or something like that). Possibly something closer to what Eddie have used in his recording, back then. Not too sure about the settings tho, it’s been a while since I’ve done that.

Esse foi o primeiro vídeo que fiz com o Two Notes praticamente logo após tirá-lo da caixa, como explico no vídeo. Eu usei o IN level no setting LOW pois aparentemente funciona melhor com amplificadores em alto volume. Out Level e Voicing na posição “meio dia” e Space 1 o’clock. O Preser no 1.
Usei 2x cabos XLR e criei dois canais individuais onde trabalhei com a ambiência, mais nada. Como na música original, o feito de reverb fica apenas em um canal. Eu coloquei um pouco mais em ambos, guilty lol. Espero ter respondido a sua pergunta.
@@GlaucoAlves bem bacana , qual IR vc usou? eu tenho o torpedo live mas quando gravo algo no garage band ate que fica legal o som, uso um headphone beyerdinamyc, ai quando esporto pra mp3 e ouco no celular fica uma porcaria.
eu tenho os IRs da celestion , v30, greenback, alnico blues e alguns da mesa, que comprei na propria store da twonotes.
@@ARCANISTARCANIST Eu usei os simuladores de speakers do próprio Torpedo. Usei o 60’s 4x12, simulando uma caixa marshall. Tbm tentei achar um sweet spot entre os microfones que usei.
Usei o amplificador mesmo, sem nenhum IR, tempo real do amp saindo pro torpedo e do torpedo direto pro interface. Até quero explorar fazendo com o IR, ouvi dizer que é bem fiel.
The best thing is you didn't dial in a good IR sound. There is still a lot more in this unit you can get.

Absolutely, there’s a lot to learn and explore here! It’s a great device and I will be soon doing some more tests with it.
Your playing is amazing, but (don't you hate when there's always a but?) The two note captor in no way captured that brown sound we are all trying to emulate. I'm sure it would have with a little more gain coming out of the amp. So close and yet so far away. IMO just needed a hair more gain. Would like to see another video with more gain.

But in regards to EVH tone, I’ve another video where I compare a pedal to the real deal. In all honesty, Eddie’s sound isn’t about more gain, there is possibly more gain on this set up than what Eddie used to use. Believe me!
Only after he went for Peavey and other pedals his sound had more gain. It’s all about the good headroom and EQ in my humble opinion. But hey, (but again 🤣) we all have different ears and our perceptions aren’t the same. In fact, our perception changed throughout the time.
