What makes it even harder is choking the cymbal instantly with one hand than the usual strike with one hand and choke with the other

Excellent job, most drummers I know don't even dare attempting this song, Richard's Christy's fills are not only damn fast but his timing is extremely difficult to get right: he's often intentially off by like a 64th note or stuff like that and makes up by speeding up, very hard to explain but once you're attempting to do his fills while keeping up time with the band/metronome you'd understand.
Most drummers can't even play WatchTower songs and that's a fact because Rick's is amazing.
Yes, and holy shit. You explained so well, it seems possible but the more you put it together in your head the more I think about how fucking incredibly hard that shit must be to pull it off.
That "intentionally off" thing is so powerful. It adds to the music in an almost indescribable way. His fills in the chorus is right there on the border of possible and impossible, timing wise.

this death album is one of the most difficult albums to play drums. it has alot of weird beats and is from from straight forward drumming. richard christy is a god. and you bro got an A+ in this cover.

nice job - i think you're the first i find that can actually play the part at 2:30 as Richard played it. The sound is very different but at least kick/snare/hat are the damn same ! It's such a weird part ... well done man !

Its so impressive watching drummers cover death songs perfectly, its like he didn't miss any timing or anything, it was just amazing! I love watching drummers cover death, their so unique and technical with all their metal, its none of that basic repetative beat and riff thing that most metal out there is! Death is just plain out the most amazing and blow your mind death metal band! Thumbs up to the drummer awesome job, you gotta do misanthrope, my fav death song! Keep thrashing! \m/

Mmmm, si vamos a ser exigentes, con la bateria tan completa que tenés, no está bien sacado... esta medio flojo, o sea lo digo porque yo tambien saqué ese cover y soy autodidacta. Lo llevás bien, pero no esta igual. Cabe aclarar que es un tema muy dificil, Christy es uno de los mejores.
