@Darth Pepe the people that focus only on WWII are myopic. the lesson from WWII for most Americans is that we are the good guys and that we can control the rest of the world through warfare. WWII was almost the only instance in history where the defeated nations surrendered unconditionally an we went in and wrote their constitutions. WWI is the far better lesson when it comes to how war actually works: all of the countries after slaughtering a generation of the their children went home beating their chests about how great they were, raised up another generation of kids and then went back to war again... that is normally how it works. We cannot control other nations through violence. In terms of Michael Moore and his assessment of Trump and his leadership being akin to Hitler and the propaganda etc of the Nazi regime: I don't think there is anyone with a good understanding of it that does not see the connection. I would highly suggest that everyone read Hannah Arendt's On totalitarianism (Holocaust survivor and leading scholar on the Nazi regime..)
@@kljmaq Would you agree at least though that some of us need some of the others? @Darth Pepe the reason you don't hear the hate. This is great👍🏽 Mike's analysis of the numbers IS important. In NZ, we citizens took a look at the numbers a couple of decades ago. Not good. So we changed our entire system of voting! We went from a Westminister-style democracy that had elections using the first-past-the-post (FPP) vote counting method; to a democracy that now has elections using the mixed-member-proportional (MMP) vote counting method. @Angela Greenkiwi Yep. It took a little getting used to (I was initially reluctant to split my vote) but I think we've settled into it (I actually voted for STV in the first referendum) The insane tribalism in the U.S political system is hard baked and scary, it's become like a sport where "my team can do no wrong" is the driving principle. Unfortunately I don't see it changing in my lifetime.

@Kake NZ got rid of subsidies and tariffs, simplified sales taxes, created trade agreements and strengthened universal healthcare by introducing Pharmac, a drug buying and distribution scheme. NZ has the 4th strongest democracy in the world (according to the EIU), has free speech and communications rated ahead of the US (by the Cato institute, who has consistently ranked NZ in the top 5 for human freedom for years). Michael always makes entertaining films. It's a shame that hardly anyone has seen his latest one: its definitely worth a watch. I had to travel into central london just to find a cinema showing it.
This is what Michael Moore dose, he appeals to the people that have no knowledge of a subject and come off like he is speaking the truth. So he has a large audience in America.
Exactly. Britain went in and saved Europe twice. To wash hands and walk away from Europe is stupid and not possible. It is still GREAT and UNITED. Make Britain Great Again!
@benjovi55 i actaully do know why republican voted for trump during republican primaries , it's because of his campaighn slogans like "build that wall, " " the muslim band he promised," and drain the swamp . There is no complex political history revolving trump or prior policy wich would sway votes, the bigger question is why didn't jeb bush win, and that could be answered from rising conflict inbetween classic moderate conservative such as george bush senior. With post regan era Republican during ( 90-00s), the last point being no matter how great hillary was hardcore republican weren't gonna change thier mind since they disagree at a fundamental level, and some trump vote weren't vote for trump, but vote in protest of hillary and the actions of the previous president. And also the odds weren't in there favor, a singular party tends hold power for about 8 years max, this unstated rule has been true since 1986, i believe
Thank you Michael, I appreciate all that you are doing to help people evolve. I feel helpless to change the world, it seems hopeless to me. People like yourself are our only hope.
Moore is right about a lot. We Californians believe in the same things he stands for. That’s why California is thriving. We are a state who governs with a libertarian perspective. That’s why we are set apart from the rest of the U. S. It is safe for people to live here. We have people running California who fight for all of us. Our community college and state colleges are affordable. I am happy to live here so long as we continue to differentiate from the rest of the country.

"It gives more votes to the former slave states" is misleading. That could have been a motivating factor but a better way to explain it would be that it follows congressional representation, which favors smaller population states since all states have 2 senators.
I love how he compares USA today to Germany in the 1930s, it's really very accurate, and it also applies to some other countries today. Ppl back then voted for Hitler, not because they were born murdering monsters, but because they were angry and desperate because they were fearing for their jobs and livelihoods, they were naive because they hoped that the guy who so eloquently said he'd solve all their problems would actually do what he promised, they were afraid to admit that they could be wrong, also because they believed that the alternative would be worse. All these things apply to USA today.
This man is or-some, would love to interview him my self on topics like the IMF, China, USA to day and so on .Thank you so much Michael about the comment you made about the UK and its relation ship with Europe, write on the spot .
My thoughts exactly - together we are strong, divided we are weak - If we don't work together more over the next 50 years, there won't be an earth worth living on!
Thats such an arrogant uninformed point of view. Isnt this the attitude that conservatives say that the left exhibits? elitists, enlightened, governors of the stupid people. I'm sure you're a fair minded person ordinarily. But step outside yourself for 10 seconds and notice the divisiveness in your tone.
Eloquent and without simplistic phrases? On Brexit? Were we watching the same video? They need you! We need each other! It's GREAT Britain! Be United! You saved Europe! You can't leave! We're all in the same boat together and I don't want to sink! You will be standing in a line for the train!
That's right. Whoever thought that such sensible and fair concepts as national sovereignty, borders and democracy would become slandered as merely the base instincts of xenophobic plebeian empire fantasists?

Where are the Michael Moore's of Britain - we desperately need people that can question are political processes. Perhaps we'd have voted for proportional representation instead of this continuous sea saw of right left politics - we need long term strategy that help every Britain have descent life.
he is so right the UK has been letting people fall between the cracks for years, it needs sorting out , in work poverty , homelessness up 3 times since the Tories came to power , it's a disgrace.
Hurri Yep, just listened to John Major about this. We are ditching the EU just as the US pivots to the east and abandons historical alliances. We will have no strategic allies of any significance and zero trade deals whatsoever. Awesome timing. /s
Just like US has no respect for the stupidity he spouts about Trump. Trump rallies had thousands while hillarys had dozens. Hillary had to pay people and even pay for fake dossiers to smear trump and he still won. He refused the presidential salary. I could go on but no amount of logic resonates with the unhinged left.
Jessica Caruso Just to correct a couple of facts, the story about Hillary paying her supporters was not actually true. However Trump did hire a casting agency to put 'supporters' at the event where he launched his presidential campaign in 2015. But he then didn't pay the agency the agreed price for four months, so maybe that means it doesn't count? www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/01/20/even-the-firm-that-hired-actors-to-cheer-trumps-campaign-launch-had-to-wait-to-be-paid/?.0e318d3a5a7d Also, the Steele Dossier was actually initially commissioned but the Republicans if you remember.
Jessica Caruso Sorry, just to add, when considering Trump not taking a salary as President, remember that his company charge the US government (ie US taxpayers) every time he visits one of his own properties. So for example, when he visited Turnberry in Scotland, Trump charged US taxpayers $60,000 for visiting his own property for 2 days. These charges are collected every time he visits Bedminster, Mar-a-Lago etc so the thousands he is losing by not taking a salary, he is more than making up for by charging the US taxpayer millions every year for visiting his own properties. time.com/money/5341475/us-government-60000-trump-turnberry-resort/

bravo Michael Moore on another 'spot on' movie - you get better every time and I never
miss one of them - thank goodness for your voice-
Michael Moore for President. What a thoroughly decent guy xx
Dave Long it didn’t stop Trump
Yes yes president of Venezuela. A social paradise!! Do you vote there?
President of UK? YOU CAN HAVE HIM!
Michael always makes entertaining films. It's a shame that hardly anyone has seen his latest one: its definitely worth a watch. I had to travel into central london just to find a cinema showing it.
Love yah Michael Moore!!!
Ugh..I hate seeing this man getting older :( We need him in this world.
We're all in this together, folks!
Well said Michael Moore !! I am looking forward to seeing Fahrenheit 11/9.
Dennis Bloodnok Channel Great. You could be the #1000 person to see it. You will plenty of room in the theater. Stay awake though

Most excellent interview with Michael Moore. Thank you!
Michael Moore has a clear vision, with inspirational talk.
Thank goodness we have great thinkers like Michael Moore.
I ❤ your analogies! The anti-skid mechanism, for one. You are my favorite teacher!🍎
This is what Michael Moore dose, he appeals to the people that have no knowledge of a subject and come off like he is speaking the truth. So he has a large audience in America.
Thank you Michael Moore!
Spot on, Michael Moore!
Very good video
Exactly. Britain went in and saved Europe twice. To wash hands and walk away from Europe is stupid and not possible. It is still GREAT and UNITED. Make Britain Great Again!
Didn't Michael Moore lambast Hillary Clinton then endorse her after Trump won the republican nomination?
Reporter I’m sorry I don’t know your name . Please have a heart please .
we need more michael moores great film maker
Why the heck doesn’t Michael Moore run for president? He’s smart and knows what the people want
Maybe he could set an example by owning only 1 mansion and flying in a private jet occasionally. And going for a walk.
Ermine Skin evidence about mansions and private jets please. Otherwise, I can't believe you
You believed me enough to take the time to reply so my job is done here.
Michael Moore should run for president.
I dont think trump voters as a whole needs to be redeemed, they just voted what they believed was in thier best interest, and ignored the rest.
Exactly! if candidates want people to vote for them then it's up to the candidate to give people a good reason to vote for them.
@benjovi55 thank you, have a nice day
Michael Moore should be running for president or at least the senate. His is a voice that speaks across the aisles.
Gotta love Michael Moore!!!
keyarldo D YEAH IF YOU'RE A COMMUNIST
"We all need each other." Amen, Brother Michael. Amen.
He speaks a lot of sense. Wrong in some ways but overall he’s a good one,
I’ll give you that he was correct in the presidential election when everyone else out there was wrong.
Thank you Michael, I appreciate all that you are doing to help people evolve. I feel helpless to change the world, it seems hopeless to me. People like yourself are our only hope.
"You're GREAT Britain. You're the UNITED Kingdom - act like it!" I love it!
Moore is right about a lot. We Californians believe in the same things he stands for. That’s why California is thriving. We are a state who governs with a
libertarian perspective. That’s why we are set apart from the rest of the U. S. It is safe for people to live here. We have people running California who fight for all of us. Our community college and state colleges are affordable. I am happy to live here so long as we continue to differentiate from the rest of the country.
He really thought two hours of self indulgent trump bashing would sell? It's utterly bombed.
He`s right ... Britain has a great tradition in film making and of course documentaries. Where are the Michael Moore`s of the UK?
'They were normal people reminds me the poem. Leonard Cohen:
'All there is to know about Adolf Eichmann.

Been saying for 10 years - Michael Moore should be US President.
was waiting for Krishnan to remoan yet again and even though he took 23 minutes he didnt disappoint...he should go and work for the bbc were he will fit in much better
He did though, until the invasion
This man is or-some, would love to interview him my self on topics like the IMF, China, USA to day and so on .Thank you so much Michael about the comment you made about the UK and its relation ship with Europe, write on the spot .
"Was it all just a dream?"
What a great bloke!
Rabid Right trolls, spend half of their day, watching lefty videos and posting negative comments.
My thoughts exactly - together we are strong, divided we are weak - If we don't work together more over the next 50 years, there won't be an earth worth living on!
Please don't give up! Go and vote! Please "Blue Wave"! Let's make it a "Blue Tsunami"!
Maybe the best MM interview I have witnessed. Thanks.
Michael, respect and regards from Slovenia.
God Bless Michael............🇦🇺♥️🇦🇺♥️🇦🇺♥️
Any eloquent person upsets brexiters and trump supporters. They just want simplistic phrases that they can understand.
Not sure if you were replying to me. I was responding the the original commenter. I'm pro-Brexit. I think you got the wrong end of the stick :)
That's right. Whoever thought that such sensible and fair concepts as national sovereignty, borders and democracy would become slandered as merely the base instincts of xenophobic plebeian empire fantasists?
LILI AL ,ARE SURE THAT THE E U IS A SOCIALIST BBEAROCRACY , ARE YOU NUTS,THE E U IS RUN BY THE MOST POWERFULL BANKS FROM EUROPE, MAINLY THE GERMAN AND FRENCH BANKLS THAT'S NOT SOCIALISM
MANY PEOPLE HERE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S SOCIALISM ,AND THEY MIX ALL SORT OF CONCEPTIONS WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT SOCIALISM
AND THE NATIVE TAX PAYERS ARE NOT SQUEZZED BY THE INMIGRANTS INFLUXX BUT BY THE CORRUPTION OF THE GOVERNMENT, THE BIG BUSSINESS,AND COMPANIES LIKE GOOGLE,AND OTHER POWERFULL CORPORATIONS THAT DON'T PAY ENOUG TAXES,OR PREFER TO HIDE THE TAXES IN TAX FREE PARADISES
I love his clarity and passion. Can someone please show Jeremy Corbyn the minute starting at 24:57.
Where are the Michael Moore's of Britain - we desperately need people that can question are political processes. Perhaps we'd have voted for proportional representation instead of this continuous sea saw of right left politics - we need long term strategy that help every Britain have descent life.
If we had PR, Jeremy Corbyn would be PM propped up by the SNP and Lib Dem’s. No thanks.
PS - it's not done Germany or the Scandinavian countries any harm - way better than our see saw politics of left and right.
Same problem we have in the U.S. although we may well be looking at far worse now.
John pilger is very good.. he’s an ozzy unfortunately
@@basmondo1 he's died hasn't he
His movie is hard to watch and not be mad !
The Electoral College needs to end!
The world needs more people like Michael Moore.
This was great. "Intelligent" Politics talk , its a rarity these days.
he is so right the UK has been letting people fall between the cracks for years, it needs sorting out , in work poverty , homelessness up 3 times since the Tories came to power , it's a disgrace.
Michael, we're still European when we leave. The EU has no respect for the historical points you've listed.
Rubbish, trying to find the future in the past is not the way to go, as Michael said the future is in co-operation, Global Britain is a con.
Hurri
Yep, just listened to John Major about this.
Jessica Caruso
Just to correct a couple of facts, the story about Hillary paying her supporters was not actually true. However Trump did hire a casting agency to put 'supporters' at the event where he launched his presidential campaign in 2015. But he then didn't pay the agency the agreed price for four months, so maybe that means it doesn't count?
www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/01/20/even-the-firm-that-hired-actors-to-cheer-trumps-campaign-launch-had-to-wait-to-be-paid/?.0e318d3a5a7d
Also, the Steele Dossier was actually initially commissioned but the Republicans if you remember.
Jessica Caruso
Sorry, just to add, when considering Trump not taking a salary as President, remember that his company charge the US government (ie US taxpayers) every time he visits one of his own properties.

Very interesting information Michael Moore gave about Texas and wow what a great little speech he gave at the end !
Michael Moore. you are fantastic. Love your words!
How is this News?
