This controlwle actually makes manons stand light punch drive rush into back heavy punch combo way easier to do because it skips the neutral input 😂. Its the best pad now for me
WHy HORI changed the cross?? Who knows. Its been more than a year and still no NEW controller. The old commander is over 120 bucks at Amazon. That cross rocked**
The lack of a cross ruins this controller for me, I have no clue why they changed it, and the only other 6 button controller with a cross is the victrix bfg which they want a bit much for.
@@solitudegaming pick up the Betop controller you can get it on sale around for $20-$30 that’s the cheapest alternative I used that controller to climb the highest ranks in Tekken
@@solitudegaming I'm beginning to think Sony PS5 Corp. is to blame. Xbox has a Spectrum of controllers, yet PS5 a reg controller 80-100 others (that are actually good) $200+.... I rather get sneakers.
Check out the 8bitdo M30 or Retrobit Sega Control Fight pad. Some nice 6 button pads, although also with floating roads, like the Hori or the Sega pads
Got this 2 weeks ago makes wave dashing so comfy and electrics so crisp. At first it was highkey trash adjusting to it but after 3-4 days u break it In it’s actually nice as hell. I use for Tekken 8 as well I main drag and Reina and pocket Jin lol so I’m happy with this controller so far
Man I just tried mine out today doing wavedashes and electrics in practice mode shit hurts my thumb lol. It definitely needs to be broken in that's for sure
Does the device manager have to be on in order for the settings to be changed (I am guessing not, but just to make sure)? Guessing what you changed on the pc wit the app is saved for the ps5 saved settings. Thank you in advance.
12:38 As usual.. Lili mains go to customization first lol. but yeah, the review was good. i already bought the hori. cause my dpad on my ds5 got loose & makes me uncomfortable already.
I want to try your sensitivity settings for the dpad since i sometimes struggle with electrics. Did changing your dpad sensitivity help woth electrics?
Do you find if you're in the hori software, and you switch to a different window. The control does a quick disconnect/reconnect and only shows in software when you're window is open?
Hey there. Great review. I come from old-school controllers (Ps1 2 and 3 ) and to this day I play Tekken and all other FG using a customized Ps3 controller (I cannibalized a few parts from some old genuine ps2 controllers and other mods etc ). I thought of getting this Hori controller but I still have doubts due to the D-pad structure. So I have something to ask. Do you think I can get used to it ? Knowing that I have skinny fingers and unlike how you showed in the video, I'll have to use the tips of the D-pad and not the entirety of my thumb to connect between motions.
All I can say is that I personally like the D-pad, I can't tell you if you'll like it or not. I think it would be best to try it out by buying from amazon or a website with a very good return policy. If you don't like the D-pad after a few days you should be able to easily return it for free. A lot of people do this. The dish shape pad is different when compared to a playstation controller. If you really prefer the playstation style d-pad I think a dualshock or dualsense would be a better investment. A lot of pros use a ps4 or ps5 controller, they work really well. I can't tell if someone will like this controller or not but if you're interested in a 6 button face controller I recommend it.
Whats your honest opinion about kbd with this pad. Im torn between a stick and this as on a ds5 kbd for me feels almost impossible. I almost always a sloppy input with d instead of a db
I would recommend trying a stick if a controller doesn't work or feel comfortable for you. But practice is second most important for KBD, first is comfort.
Bought it few years ago and dpad broke lile a day after lmao. Hopefully was just a broken unit, wanna buy and try it again! (Been playing on ps3/4 pads exclusively)
I wouldn't recommend this controller for anything other than fighting games. There's no right analog stick on this model and the other versions that do have an analog stick aren't very good in my opinion. A DualShock or Xbox controller would be a better choice.
There could be a few things why its not being recognized, do you use linux? Some versions of windows can also be a little finicky. Also are you using the Playstation version of the software and not the Xbox version? Where you download the software is also important, links from sony or microsoft store have a weird firmware update that breaks the software, it did for me, you have to download from the hori website. These are the common problems I had with the software.
I questioned the DPad calibration software. Since the thing uses click switches, how the heck would it register pressure strength, right? Turns out, the software seems to fine-tune to your speed of switching BETWEEN directionals and diagonals, and not really any real pressure per se.
Men you saved me, I was dropping easy inputs too. I was thinking it was a firmware issue or something, definitely gonna check that balance option
As soon as you said right, neutral, left i knew a section on jet upper was coming
props to changing your steam name every single character

The 2025 version coming out idk if they fixed the Dpad yet lol

Bought the controller months ago and had the same experience, hatred to love lol. Good and Funny review, marvelous!
Also, your skills are crazy wicked

How did you configure the sensitivity? With the regular one I'm always getting double diagonals on electric or down inputs on kbd
Man I just tried mine out today doing wavedashes and electrics in practice mode shit hurts my thumb lol. It definitely needs to be broken in that's for sure
Bro i saw your comment in EVERY video about this pad 😂
How does it compare to the Logitech F310? The pad setup for the F310 feels smoother but I was looking for a PS5-ready controller
Lol that rule 34 tab but nah all jokes aside good video!

You think since it's wired it would be a bit cheaper but I'm considering getting this not only for fighting games but also for genesis games
Heard any news about the Hori Octa pro? It was teased on a Japanese video.
I opened the controller and put 4 scews in holes in the backside of the dpad . Its much beter now
I struggle with diagonal inputs w thus
Same , been trying to hit consistent JFSR with Hwo but I struggle with the diagonal inputs as well.

Yes that happens, it will also mute the audio of other windows for some reason. The software is very weird.
Ah thanks. Assume the profile is saved though @TheGobbo

They are too scared to bring back El Fuerte

Is this controller good for 2K, Madden UFC i just wanna know before buying

When I saw your Tekken 8 player name I felt like I was punched in the face
