Alfredo Di Stefano was known in Real Madrid by a colombian football team called MILLONARIOS (Millonaires) a footbal team from the colombian capital city: Bogota D.C.
Messi, Maradona, Pele, Di stefano y Cruyft.
Truth to be told, nothing's special except a risky situation right outside his team penalty area. In the same friendly match vs Hamburg SV, Pele easily showed his higher level compare to Di Stefano. Pele is a real king of all time.
Lower why ? It was only more slow sometimes. If you get some full matches of those times WC you'll see the same speed you see today. I might say that it was harder to play in those days. No referee protection, no soft balls or snickers, rough plays that could broke your leg ( it was often ). And technique resist trought the times. Those you said had 10x more technique than Messi. I might add some others, like Ronaldo, Romario, Zizou, Baggio and etc.
you are shit brasil only won becouse futbol was amateur footbal started in 1966 idiot, Boby morre, boby charlton and Denis Law was 100000000000 better than messi fool
@@robertojimenez9265 many footbal teams were founded in late 1800's, but for you footbal only started in 1966, like, 70 years later, there were no sports before that, the olympics didnt exist in ancient greece, people couldnt run back then they were all fat slobs, people only started running and kicking in 2005 lol
I'm a Messi fan. I stop to see him play. He is a good dribler and finisher. But TECHNIQUE Diego and Pelé, for example, had much more. They scored bike, volley, head goals ( pelé and di stefano, diego not that much ), 'letra' passes, beuatiful stuff. The futebol that Messi plays isn close of those. And for Argentina ? I dont need to say. I dont know if you saw Baggio playing. He was better free kick taker, long fininisher, dribbled like devil, and took Italy to final in 94 with one leg.

wow i mean i know its only highlights but it seems like the whole game is played through him-hes not even trying in this game hes just strolling it.seriously ,maybe he was the best ever-certainly in the way he could dictate games
GREAT PLAYERS COULD HAVE PLAYED AT ANY YEAR AND ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!THEY JUST NEEDED TO ADAPT THEMSELVES TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND TRAINING OF EACH PARTICULAR AGE!!!EXAMPLES MARADONA,PELE,DI STEFANO,CRUIFF,PLATINI,MESSI ETCETC
For your standarts may be. Watch Messi plays for Argentina. I dont see anything special. And Argentina is, today, the 3rd best int team in world. Forget Pelé, Maradona, Di Stefano and Garrincha. I'm sorry, but Messi cant raise that level. Even Ronaldo, Zidane, Van Basten, Romário i dont see him close. He is a fast player, with a great short finishing, with great ball control. But he doesnt have the technique that those i just wrote. Those guys played by any team, any shirt, equal.

Zidane of 60's
Di Stefano revoluciono al futbol!
Así es. Era completisimo
¡Maestro!
No maestro, sólo. Doctor.
You are correct, sir: I should've pointed that out as well.
Di Stefano, Puskas, Gento, Eusebio, Law, Baxter, Yashin ---- yet England won!
And yet England is shit. :D Won just 1 trophy in their ENTIRE history.
you are shit brasil only won becouse futbol was amateur footbal started in 1966 idiot, Boby morre, boby charlton and Denis Law was 100000000000 better than messi fool
melancholiac Di Stefano, the greatest player of all times was about to retire, so it's not very relevant this match.
Pelé Brasil !!!
Am the new Di Stefano, thanks my role model.
He was 37 here, way past his prime.
fierrote do you forget santo club of pelé, pepe etc
fierrote Just see the video vídeo RUclips of George Best dribbling, the man was a crazily great dribbler, what he did still amazes and impress today, as Pelé and other geniuses of that time, or do you think that all that crazy, fast and quick dribbles would be able to be stopped by today's defenders? Maybe some, but the answer to many others is clearly no. The man was a really fast and quick dribbler. If he was born today, with that huge talent and being prepared since early against modern defensive tactics and training, there is no real reason to doubt that he would be a top player. Based in your opinion, all was easier in the past, and all players unlucky to have been born today would not be good if they played today. This is bullshit, there is no rational reason to think that one generation is more talented than other. It is also unfair, as if all those players were guilty of the the time when they born, something that no one has control. I try to give everyone a fair opinion. A top player today is not greater or more talented because of better training, tactics and less space than a player from the past, nor a player of the past or greater or more talented because they played in much more precarious conditions. The first opinion devalues the past, and second devalues the present. And both are completely wrong and unfair.
I don't understand why it seems so hard for some people to understand this! This is logical and even obvious, I would say.
And Di Stéfano was old here.
And search videos of Gento running, his speed was incredible!
Viejotrueno Yes. Humans and talent don't really change in each new generation. What changes is the prepare.
A mi me recuerda a Iniesta.
7:41 of bore
Jim Baxter ,got his leg broken around 63 ,was never the same but for 1967 England v Scotland. Where he shiwed his ability.
what year was this game?
wow i mean i know its only highlights but it seems like the whole game is played through him-hes not even trying in this game hes just strolling it.seriously ,maybe he was the best ever-certainly in the way he could dictate games
Messi é o maior da história gênio da bola viva o rei do futebol
more video about di stefano plz
GREAT PLAYERS COULD HAVE PLAYED AT ANY YEAR AND ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!THEY JUST NEEDED TO ADAPT THEMSELVES TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND TRAINING OF EACH PARTICULAR AGE!!!EXAMPLES MARADONA,PELE,DI STEFANO,CRUIFF,PLATINI,MESSI ETCETC
fairfax1000 Messi? Adapt? Play anywhere? Nigga have you watched Messi playing well outside of Barcelona like ever???
700 goals and Di Stefano 480
IS THE BEST !!!
Great stuff
Oui, vous avez raison. J'ai pense le meme chose!
His jersey is 9 right
how did eusebio was playing with di stefano in a internationally game?
All star I’m guessing, puskas was there too plus law, and Yashin was in goal I think
But that team would shred Liverpool’s current 11, and Barca too
If only best was there lmao
For your standarts may be. Watch Messi plays for Argentina. I dont see anything special. And Argentina is, today, the 3rd best int team in world.
Forget Pelé, Maradona, Di Stefano and Garrincha. I'm sorry, but Messi cant raise that level.
Even Ronaldo, Zidane, Van Basten, Romário i dont see him close.
He is a fast player, with a great short finishing, with great ball control. But he doesnt have the technique that those i just wrote. Those guys played by any team, any shirt, equal.
This makes me laugh "Pelé would have flopped had he played in Europe" - Santos destroyed all European opposition from the late 50s through to the late 60s. Real Madrid, Juve and Benfica never touched Pele's Santos with all the best bought players from across the world.
+Antony Craven jaja Pele never play against england teams and other lie about pele is that santos dominated south america when the reality is that he just could won two libertadores when peñarol, indepentiente and estudiantes truly dominated the continent

I see Messi plays for Argentina since he started. And i never saw anything special. Argentina has a great team for nowadays standards. But yes, doesnt have the creativity that barca midfield. With Barcelona is too easy play. But when things get harder...
All those players i told, and others i didnt, played on any condition, easy or hard, against anyone, any championship with any shirt. And there was no need to give excuses.
Improvisation, vision, genius, intelligence.
Pele made his goals in brazil league playing in santos which was the superior team . other teams were crap.. and other friendlies that turned out to be 10 - 0 results
Distefano =zidane+c ronaldo
How many times do you guys think he said Stefano ?
Di stefanou
great video.keep working
The hotness!
Am i The Only One That Get Supra Ticked When He Pronounces His Name, Stefanouu

Kaoru Oshiro And Di Stéfano was past his prime here.
And there was pression, not too much, but there was
Gento, Di Stefano, Eusebio, Kopa. What a team.
The all-star side was known as the Rest of the World XI.
En estos momentos sería uno del montón
His style was boring but effective. A bit like Cruyff.
vja1970 Di Stéfano was old here. And in no way he was boring, neither Cruyff
I felt old
Who did rest of the world play?
+Gabe Azevedo It was a game England-rest of the word
England won 2-1.
In the rest of the world, yachine played, eusebio, kopa, law, mazopust, gento, snellinger.
It was played like a serious game.
Lol
england played in england... do you remembered WC '66, so this is a "friendly" match , What do you think?
How many times he says: Di Stefano😂
A REAL legend but... his passing wasn't very good.
Hala Madrid R.I.P Di Stefano
He's 37 in this video.
Lol at the commentary.
1 stratège ce Di Stéfano,
Estratega total
is this Di Stefano with Spain?or Argentina?
NO
Grande Di Estefano
Henry Lezama exactamente
Gento!!
Di Stefano > Messi
Only frills.
don't get crazy
I don't know if I had been a better player than Pelé, but I can say without any doubt that Di Stéfano was better than Pelé. I am proud when one speaks of Di Stéfano. Pelé would have flopped had he played in Europe, whereas Alfredo has played very well throughout the world. I can say that Maradona could be worse than Pelé. But I emphasize Di Stéfano was better".
Diego Maradona, former Argentina superstar told RAI, the Italian national television, in 1997.
Moie Gillou pelé won all what any player can win three wc, two intercontinetal teams, destroyed the clubs from europe, he was considered the best betwen the best players brazil have benn produced in its history so pelé is the best, i sory for you
eliomar1807 Yes i say Pele=Distefano= Maradona
no, maradona is very far from pelé talent.
Eliomar is deluded af
Sebast7HD10 pelé is the god of football, he won a wc with 17 years old and made one of the beatiful goal of the world cup all time, he won all things with the national team and his club, he was more complete than any others players, one player can be compered with him is mané garrincha the others rest is just the rest.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a very good player. But Messi is way better than him.
He had a pick in 2008, when he did very well. But was never a decisive player playing for his clubs. Playing for Portugal he is a nobody.
Di stefa pum pum pim pim fano.
di estefanoouuuuu
Messi would Take à shit on stephano
not even close
