Can't wait to see what your thoughts on it are! You'll enjoy it for sure, the build goes much smoother and easier than the DRZ V1 as everything is labelled properly.

I’m excited to see what you do with this! Lol I’m not surprised to see a screw without threads, I’ve read the GL-D takes just as much work as the DRZ V2 to get it running perfectly smooth.
My issue with the GL-D is that you have to buy spare parts to adjust caster & the fact it’s almost all plastic. They could have thrown a few aluminum parts in there... but hey you get an adjustable motor mount so that’s freakin sweet!
I feel like the whole RWD drift scene is really stepping it up lately & you can’t really go wrong with any of the chassis out there. 😸 They are all pretty comparable once you have it fully built & tuned.
I actually think they know we are a bunch of upgrade-crazed people who will buy the upgrades no matter what the car comes with. So why not give it bare minimum just enough to run and make everything else an upgrade?
congrats on the purchase . looking forward to the build video and your final review . curious to see what you think of this one . I just have to say , that Box Is So Ugly compared to the GLR & GLA .
Yeah it looks a bit... unprofessional at first glance but it grows on me.

Can't wait for the build video 🤩🤩🤩 I haven't built any RC before but based on the reviews it's high quality and relatively easy to build and tune.
Sorry to say that I got a bad one.
Gearbox is out of alignment and get stuck on one spot. Front knuckles are too tight on one side and has misaligned bearing slots in the other. The ball caps are extremely fragile.
I got it running in the end though but I'm sure it's not 100% or what this car can really do.

And amazing, how you already now come up with some affordable upgrade (Servo).
In my GLA and GLR both kit had at least one extra of each screw and washer.

Good choice Mr B on gl racing .... I'm still waiting for atomic amz 90mm motor mount and drive shaft... 12 months later...gl always have good stock levels... I've built my gld and xrx... Just getting my brain ready for drzv2 tonight .... Hope nothing is missing 😂
That's an awesome collection! Best of luck. I hope nothing missing or broken especially the front suspension screws.
After building atomic amr and sas sport, i understand their quality is low and ordered gla, thx for you and waiting build video! And can you compare gld and drz difs?
Yes, I will. but it'll be the DRZ first version not the 2nd one.
Can't wait to see your next video for this kit. Good to know that blue arrow servo fits nicely, however that BA's servo horn is so thin. It flexs easily. Need to make it stiffer.
Yes, I notice that too. Haven't tried the horn form GL if it fits yet. I'll tell you once I try it.
I've tried the horn, yes, the spline is exactly the same size and the horn from GL servo is direct fit on BlueArrow.
Who else noticed that the box spells ‘drift’ as ‘dridt’ ?

Yes, I sort of poke fun at them saying "Unfortunately Spellcheck.exe has stopped working." and they were quite embarrassed by that. In the rush of pushing it out this typo slipped through the crack and here we are. They said they'll fix it in the next batch.

What is your thinking about this kit ? Have you build it ? My experience build it is not to satisfying, many part have to be trimmed and my wheel bearing is broken (just 1) and 1differential bearing, and between diff gear and part a42 is not correct. In some point the rotation is jam, after i inspect it . Gear a42 is not even round. In my opinion this quality is not as good as GLR / GLA.

I haven't built it yet. I'll have time to do it probably this weekend. From my inspection my parts are pretty well made and quality is better than Atomic. However I'll have to really build it to know what it's like.

F150 is pretty old now and as far as I know it's fantastic. So I'm getting the Orlandoo Hunter OH32X01 instead.
i bougt a gla after your recommendation and the quality of the parts is really awesome, only thing i changed are the connectors since its not the common sized ph 2.0 used in the drone cummunity. exept that im really happy with it, and damn its a beauty. bought a k969 too wich also is alot of fun but that one broke a cvd after a few packs

You can use any lipo charger to charge it providing you have the right plug for it.
I use SkyRC iMax B6, you can also find iMax B6AC, ISDT or something similar.
Normally a charger will have JST-XH plug for the balance plug (3 wire) but GL ESC and its compatible batteries are using JST-PH plug so you might need to make an adapter or buy an adapter for it.

@@piogenovesi8546 Try and adjust the charge. Charge it at 300-400mAh (0.3-0.4A) is the safest way. 0.8A is faster but put a bit more strain on the battery.

@@BeaversHobby yes! In the EU, I've been following gl-racing.de for new stock, but nothing yet. Did you have to wait long between pre-order and fulfilment?
@@ImranShamsul It was in stock from 1st of September but the shop was closed for the Summer. After they came back they sent it to me the next day, 8th Sep and arrived today, 14th Sep. Depends on what shipping method you choose though. I chose the cheapest DHL or Express available.
E-mail them first if you want to know if it's still available.
