Nestled betwixt the boys is truly all the holiday cheer a person needs! A mug of cocoa, holiday spirit, a boy on either side, being betwixt...what more could you ask for.🎄
I like how jack looks to dan as he says, "this is jack and dan..." as if he's not sure. And dan must nod to let him know that, yes, this is indeed, Jack and Dan. Deff my fav channel. The whole mr wriggles thing... gets me every time xD Happy Yuletide 🎄
We must know the lore behind the Grinch trauma. I actually didn't like this film when it first came out, didn't know it would be so goofy. But it has grown on me immensely over time. I still hope for a Krampus film with the same atmosphere as The Witch in the future. A Robert Eggers Krampus would be amazing.
There is only one explanation for the ending of the story and it is given by the writer and director of the film: Michael Dogherty. In the end, the family did live the terrifying experience and learned the lesson, which is why their shocked faces. Krampus collects the houses as souvenir snowballs, because they are all the families who repented from the heart. But those who don't (like what happened to Omi, Max's grandmother) go straight to hell. It is a clear reference to A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. That's why at the beginning it appears that Omi is watching a Christmas Carol movie. This is also supported in the prequel comic of the same name: KRAMPUS.
That isn't what Krampus actually looks like in the movie... He's wearing the face of a dead man as a mask. I watched, "Krampus | Playing Krampus | Bonus Clip". All that's visible of Krampus' face are his; eyes, tongue, and a bit of his mouth. But honestly, most people have no idea that it's meant to be a mask and think he's just a creepy looking Santa.
Ooooh, very gooood! I'm from the Krampus region (in my case Österreich aka Austria) and I relay love this film. A must on every Christmas Eve. A bit late but: Grüße vom Krampus! 👹 and Happy merry Christmas to you all out there! 👼 (Edit: Krampus Day is on 5 December, he is a companion of St Nicholas (6 Dec.).
I decided to save this video until Christmas Eve to help me get in the spirit, and so i can have some Jack and Dan for the holidays. This movie is way better than it has any right to be. I was pleasantly surprised when i watched it the first time. Happy holidays, boys! May your lives be filled with all the joy and love it can hold.
Sooo I’m from bavaria (southern Germany) and I can tell you who or what Krampus is. So we basically don’t have Santa Claus, we have the “Christkind”, since the Catholic Church spread around here it’s shown as baby Jesus but the original spirit behind it is much older than the Catholic Church itself. The “Christkind” is a spirit with two sides who has many many other names (Frau Holle, Perchta, etc.) these two sides or versions of this spirit are always the exact opposite, so dark and light, life and death, giving and taking, winter and summer, and so on. The Krampus is the opposite side of the “Christkind”, so on Christmas Eve (or originally around the winter solstice) the spirit comes in his mercyful version to give presents to all the children who behaved good and after that the spirit comes as Krampus to punish the children who behaved bad. The church made the good version of the spirit to the Christkind, which comes at Christmas Eve and the concept of the two sided spirit was transferred to St. Nick and Knecht Ruprecht, who come at the 6th of December. Knecht Ruprecht punishes the children and St. Nick gives presents
Oh and the punishment can be anything from just not getting presents or coal as presents to being tortured or eaten alive. It depends on the time and place one grew up and how the family told the story
Little fun fact: It took 3 people to become the Jack in the box. One was the main body, the second was the tail, and the third did the bulging and swelling in the stomach.
I was nervous about watching this movie the first time I saw it as you know I don't like horror movies but this movie had me laughing through the whole thing. Such a terrible but great Christmas movie that has definitely been added to the rotation with Die Hard, Love Actually, The Family Stone, Christmas Vacation, and others. Loved seeing y'all react to this utter chaotic mess of a film. Was a lot of fun sharing this betwixt the boys. Also, thanks for the Krampus skin in Fortnite and for the shoutout!
I was one of the only people to see this in the cinema, but I'm stoked to see it gradually gain a following in the years since. It's a fun and entertaining movie. Watch this for chrimbo, and Trick 'r Treat for Halloween (both directed by Michael Dougherty).
I've seen this movie easily 20+ times since there arent that many scary christmas movies that are actually good. I've as a resut seen A TON of ending theories or "definitive" explanations. And without question...Jack and Dan presenting the theory that the whole time Omi was in fact a secret Child Bride to Krampus is my favorite...so much so it' just my official head canon now... "
What makes Krampus more creepy is when you realize that inanimate mask is on purpose. He is canonically wearing a Santa mask. That's not his real face.
Great video as always! ❤ Just wondering if it’s possible to make the subtitles of the movie slightly bigger? I’ve struggled a bit with reading them 😵💫 Might just be a me problem though, I understand people might find larger subtitles distracting!
This was great! I love this movie. It's not Cinematic Brilliance but it's good fun! I actually learned about Krampus from Don't Starve. Way back when the game was in beta they added Krampus as a joke for Christmas and then he became a permanent part of the game. Ever since then I've seen a lot of him on the internet and am very happy that people are getting to learn more about him. It's just an interesting, and VERY German, kind thing.
What a great choice for tonight, boys! Ok I'm putting u on tv and start Xmas cooking (polish food takes days lol) but quietly wished the gremlins win 😜
I actually watched this movie as a teen and loved it and I had went to this Amish type store and I found this movie called Mother Krampus and in my mind this Krampus movie was so good, of course mother Krampus would be. It wasn't. Lol
Happy betwixtmas boys🎄🎅🎁
Haha, this is amazing. Happy Betwixtmas too! Petition to rebrand Christmas to Betwixtmas!?
Hell yesss, it's already done in my eyes, what even is Christmas anymore, betwixtmas is where it's at 😂

I've noticed that, too. 😊😇😁
I'm a simple man, I see Jack and Dan post, I click.
Omg this has become a Christmas classic in my house! I’m so excited to see y’all’s reactions! ❄️🎄
I think it's gotta become a classic for me too, i really enjoyed this one 😂

so they also live in the snowball or did krampus just take a part of their soul and they live on?
The snowglobes are Krampus' "magnifying glass" to make sure the families learned their lesson and he watches them from there.

Winter is really throwing a wrench in your wardrobe department, boys. A real dang wrench.
It's not a movie I would have watched except that you guys were reacting to it. Cheers mates have a Merry Christmas.

I'm so jealous you get to see the Krampus celebrations, Krampuslauf(?) every year (if you go, of course).

... wait until you have 40 years in the airline/transportation industry, you'll be summoning Krampus on your coffee breaks 😆
One of my favorite holiday films! Move over Jack and Dan - I'm squeezing in betwixt my boys!

I must admit I watch these videos to hear Jack call Dan's name every 30seconds♥️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Happy Christmas boys! May this Christmas be the first of many to come together as a community ❤

Krampus has become a festive favourite in our house. Watch it every year. Gremlins, too. Good choice of movie, guys
Rewatch this every Christmas season, it's such a fun film
Happy holidays, Jack and Dan 💜
If you haven't seen Rare Exports, that's another Christmas staple at our house.
Happy christmas boys, thanks for making Saturday's a bright spot of the week
Yes guys great choice I'm here super quick today
This is one of the creepiest movies I've seen in a while, the goat Tony colette back at it with the creepy. This film was great

Can't believe I am so delayed in reacting to this! Had a busy day today but so excited to watch the very festive reaction!! ❤
Best Christmas film ever. I live how ridiculous it gets with the action in the middle and how gleeful the baddies are. Reminds me of the Evil Dead.

Over an hour long? This will certainly satiate my desire for entertainment.
This was such a fun watch! Great choice fellow patrons 👏🏻👏🏻
Best Christmas present from the boys haha
That small party bag of snow from that dude is not going to last very long. Merry Christmas guys 🎄
"thoughts?" in German is "Gedanken?"
Feliz navidad, chicos! 🎅🎄🎅
Ooooh I love me a good Krampus reaction! His design is so dope, it's like something Guillermo Del Toro would create.
Weta Workshop are awesome!
I love you guys! Merry Christmas, Happy New year boys🎉🎉🎉

It's so funny that you thought the elves were like orcs. Both were made by the incredible Weta Workshop. 😊
petition for the next reaction video to be extra festive with some christmas sweaters and hats….perhaps a white beard…thoughts?

Ohh I love this film. Great pick lads.
My favorite part hands down is the killer gingys. 😈
iirc Krampus wears the face of an older man (looking like Santa) like a mask, so you see the mouth hanging open as well as a deeper pits in the eyes
Merry Christmas chaps!🧡

"Thoughts?" in German is "gedanken?" If I recall correctly. My secondary school German is a bit rusty, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I've had 2 hot whiskeys so now i will super enjoy this video 😅 love this film, so weird and fun
Dan…you can’t possibly be 21. Say it isn’t so 🖤🌹🖤🧛🏻♀️
Oooo, this should be good (excitedly clapping with anticipation betwixt the boys)! 👏🎄😱👏🎄😱👏
