Everest Base Camp Trek Possible in 7 days? Nepal Documentary

- On this trip to Nepal, I was able to fulfill a bucket list trip, which was to take a crack at trekking to Everest Base Camp. We went at the end of May and that corresponded to the end of the climbing season. Our group of four opted to make the trip without a guide. And we had about half the time as most package trips recommend. This video documents the whole experience from flying to Lukla from Kathmandu - and eventually back to Kathmandu. If you are considering making a trip to Nepal to trek, this will give you a good idea about what you might encounter. Chomolungma (in Tibet) in the Sagarmatha National Park (Nepal)

Hoping for great weather, easy flights ( my first international flight...yikes !), No altitude problems and great views. Loved your video...it has me even more excited for this coming November.

Beautiful video, thank you so much for taking the time to show others that are not physically able to climb that high how it would be to be in those gorgeous places. I enjoyed it very much.
Nice video of an awesome adventure! Thanks for sharing.
Wow, epic journey! Great job documenting it, no fancy edits, just raw footage and simple narration. Very inspiring too!
Wow. Just wow. The cliché, "If Kerry is breathing hard, he must be climbing Everest," remains intact. That's why its a cliché. Two and a half hours, and interesting every step of the way. Thanks for sharing your experience.
This is truly incredible. I felt like I was there with you when you finally got to see Everest (and I cried like a baby 😂). Spectacular video.

Don’t unless experienced so you’re a decent human and respect the sherpas lives. And pay them extra for it.
better then u ever see on tv.Yes its time for people to notice u and give u tv show Kerry adventures...
Great vid and a greater narrative. I'll be in Nepal on March, cant wait for its amazing scenery.
you are a workhorse, you've got stamina , porters do carry heavyweights some double their body weight taking into account they live there all their lives, I respect them as well , for yourself being a native westerner , and accomplishing what you do,...i must respect you too sir.
I absolutely LOVED this. So clear on my TV. Watched all of it. Brilliant. Thank you for sharing your journey and taking us with you. Brilliant.

Great video. I followed part of your route in 2004; the checkpoints and bureaucracy were new but many of the views were familiar. Thanks for sharing your journey for its has brought back memories of a magical trip. Namaste 🙏
The EBC - track is on bucket list. I haven't found any video out there like yours showing so many aspects, details and the diverse beauty of this adventure. Thank you so much for sharing your video and for all the efforts you put into it - I will definitly watch it over and over again. Thanks !!!!
Amazing video. Loved every moment of it! Just straight forward blogging, nothing fancy or overly produced, just brining us along with you on your trip. Loved it!
It ain't fancy. That is for sure. Glad you liked it.

Man, Kerry, you keep raising that bar ... thanks for sharing!
Kerry, this was fantastic! I felt like I was with you the entire time. Lukla airport takeoff and landing looks horrific. Not sure I would make it through that. But I am adding EBC to my bucket list. Wonderful video.
This is brilliant, totally absorbed with your cool calm narration. Amazing footage too. Thanks for sharing👍👍👍
This is such a cool video! Thank you for this.
Beautiful video! Inspiring!! I want to have this experience of seeing the base camp...:)
Loved the video, thank you for sharing your experience with us!
Watch every superb minute of this, love the way you talk to everyone, kinda feel like we are tagging along, helping you absorb the bumps to pay for the privilege of watching your excellent film.
Nicely done Carey. You must have been in excellent shape. Thanks for sharing part of your adventure.
Why are people giving this a thumbdown?! this is phenomenal footage, thank you so much for uploading! i never know this was a thing, that people climb to base camp, how beautiful :)
Courtney Pie thumbs down because trying to do this trek as fast as possible without acclimation days is very dangerous. Beautiful trek but should not be rushed without acclimation and after seeing the others turn back to reset shows the dangers. Not worth the risk to do without acclimation and should not be glamourized.
Courtney Pie what is his goal?
Surely he don’t think he can get anywhere near the summit?
Courtney Heart I agree!! What an AMAZING journey this was!! Regardless if he completed the trail in a faster amount of time than is recommended. That was his choice. He seems both extremely fit, and experienced with endurance training, higher altitudes, mountaineering, etc.. I like you Courtney, am glad he made a video about his journey!
Amazing video, amazing journey. I like that it is not edited very much. You are very inspiring. Greetings from Germany.
The video is amazing thanks so much for sharing. I love the joy you keep expressing being in Nepal!
Could watch this over and over again, you sir are a top man, you made it so we could actually feel like we were there!!!!!!

Day6. Gorakshep to kalapatthar and then ebc back to lobuche
Day7 loboche to namche bazaar, very tiring
Day8-namche to lukla
Day9 early morning flight to kathmandu
Are you allowed to hang out with the climbers at Base Camp?
Ya
Stunning video. Really enjoyed that Kerry.
Thoroughly enjoyed your video. It was awesome to see your journey, and one that I will never take, but got to live vicariously through you. I watched this from start to finish and it just flew by, and was so sad when it was over. I could have watched for another 2 hours. Thank you for sharing this aspect of Everest. Oh and advice...get a wind sock...LOL
YES Amazing Video! The BEST ! LOVE The View of the Magnificent Peaks! Thank You Again!!!
Glad you enjoyed it

So good to hear that. Namaste.
Total and absolute respect to you and all porters and Sherpas you met along the way. Dec 29 2019.
just brilliant! Thank you for sharing it with us, love from a fellow Canadian ;)
Great filming all by yourself, shows so much of the true trek to EBC, with great footage of the villages, inside teahouses and the steep paths and giant steps! (Some of the steps were tall enough to be as high as my knee = tough stepping with a pack!) Makes me want to return!
Spectacular View and experience... Very Good footage and commentary
Awesome content!! Keep living the dream Kerry!
Wow!!! Now I wanna go to EBC! Thank you for sharing!! Awesome and so inspiring!! 👍🏼🏔🧡
Many thanks, I watched the whole show, start to finish. Brilliant.
Happy to hear that, my friend.
Thanks for sharing! Just got back from EBC 2 weeks ago. 11 days total , 2 days both at Namche and Dingbouche. We were one of the first groups up this year. Felt great the whole way and enjoyed every second ! Met a marathon guy from India doing a round trip ascent/descent in 40 hours lol
Great video, good job mate! Its on my bucket list as well! You only live once!
Kerry, I’ve been watching your videos for the last few weeks. I have to say, your sense of adventure is infectious. When you take time to see the flowers and the waterfalls. Or in your other vids the frogs and taking time to point out the trails. I’m currently training for an100km and I can assure you while out training I think of your calm nature and sense of adventure and it brings more joy to my running. Thanks for putting together these videos. You’re a legend mate. Matty from South Australia - Adelaide
Matty, appreciate you watching and giving a thumbs up. If it is at all helpful for your own efforts on the 100K you are doing, I'm glad. Good luck on that. Cheers Kerry
Awesome video. as always. thanks for sharing.
Great video and it looked like a great adventure too!!
Amazing Video. I am planning to summit Everest 2021 Season and I found this video very informative. Good Job. I appreciate your efforts.
Fantastic documentary. It’s been on my bucket list since the 1990s....to do this trek. Had seriously considered training for the full climb but decided against that, years ago. This trek is still within the realm of possibility, though. Have always enjoyed endurance sports, but as I’ve gotten a lot older, things have gotten much more conservative for me. At 68, I’m still very active, outside. Thanks so much for sharing the intimate experiences and awesome footage of what it takes to do this trek....I really enjoyed it.
Thank you Kerry for sharing these wonderful video makes me wonder what life is all about thank you very much
Re-watched after a couple of years. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration Kerry! 😀
I'd never be able to do this but I am fascinated by the beauty of it all. If I were to do this, you sir is who. I'd like as my guide. Your spirit is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Namaste!!!
The Helicopters are usually carrying trekkers suffering from altitude sickness and need to get to hospital. Severe altitude sickness can be fatal and trekkers die up there frequently.
I trekked to EBC and other high altitude passes when I was age 60. I have to the Himalayas 4 times. I loved it.
Possible to use a windsock on camera?
Start to finish, step by step , over rocky paths and funky suspension bridges to stone built huts along the mountain trail, I felt like I was right there alongside. Exceptional job, quite remarkable. Thank you.
What a nice comment, Willy. Cool that you felt you got to experience it, too.
That was epic! I don't imagine that I'll ever get to experience that in reality but you sure did a great job taking us along with you, I felt it with you, smelt it with you and loved every minute. Thank you for all your great videos, I love the Canyons too. Staying on your shoulder :)
Vicki, you can do it!
Kerry
Awesome video, enjoyed every minute of it 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Moving on to your next video
Thank you
Victor
Great to hear Victor. Hope your tour o'vids was enjoyable.
I did Not finish the film yet, but I want to thank you for the beautiful pictures of the trail. Never seen this beautiful landscape in another EBC documentation. Thanks a lot!! I lately began to watch your videos and enjoyed every single one of them.
Awesome video as usual, Kerry. Absolutely beautiful stuff.
I'm consistently amazed at how you're able to keep such a sunny disposition even in the midst of suffering through extreme physical exertion.. I watched your moab 240 video yesterday and I think if someone picked a random point in that video and started watching, they wouldn't know whether you were 150 miles in, or whether you had just begun.
Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your incredible adventures.
Those are very kind words. Thank you so much for your feedback. I think probably people Might be able to tell where I was in the race based on how much my whiskers had grown out since the start.
Thank you for recording and sharing your your journey. So lovely watch while comfy under my duvet !! 😊
What a wonderful experience. I watch so many similar walks and anything and everything on Everest. A truly awesome place in the true sense of the word. I wouldn't be able to acclimatise so more than happy to learn from films like your. You provided so much help and advice for those seriously thinking of a trek in the area. Thanks again and wish you well for more adventures NAMASTE 💖
Nice video of an awesome adventure! Thanks ....
fantastic journey and congratulations to you...thanks for taking us along EVEREST EVEREST
The most beautiful scenery. It is so mystical. Not climbing up Mount Everest but to walk there like you did is my dream.
Greetings from Germany and thanks for sharing this amazing video. Take care! :)

I cant believe how good it was.
Terry I loved your emotion through this video especially at Kala Pather and with the Sherpa at the end buying dinner and breakfast. Thanks for taking me to such beautiful sights in this one. Great work too. Very much enjoyed it, as always.

I'm surrounded by people day in day out and can't find a girlfriend... this guy finds a cute, interesting and totally cool chic out in the middle of nowhere atop a freaking mountain!😂....what an AMAZING journey! Thank you for bringing us along, such an amazing experience
Albert Corrales I’m sure if he wasn’t married he wouldn’t have left that cute woman’s side. I know I wouldn’t have unless she made it clear she don’t like me. But I think she liked him. That could be from the buzz she had though a natural high of course.
Watched the entire video...enjoyed every minute
Your videos continue to be a source of inspiration for me sir! Thank you and keep killing it in Moab!
MrBordello I lived in Moab.
Love Moab too. Camped there(tent) four times. First time 1984, last time 2002. Oldtimer from Shropshire in UK.
Excellent vid, thanks for sharing!
Kerry, thanks for the awesome documentary of your experiences! I want to do the same next summer with my teenaged kids. My wife said she would go only if a Yak would carry her - I told her that might get a bit hairy ha!
First time viewer. Excellent. Thank you for giving such respect to the Sherpas and locals.
Thank you for allowing me to join you in this gorgeous walking tour. What a magical experience.
So glad you were able to enjoy it. It was indeed magical.
