    I've done both, the Annapurna Circuit with Thorung la and Poon hill was 19 days. They are 2 of the most beautiful treks I've ever done, i loved the awesome feeling of looking at Everest from Kallapatta, but equally, i loved the slower pace and timeless views on the Annapurna circuit. My advice to anyone is to do both, it's impossible for me to pick a clear winner. Trekking in Nepal is a life changer, for sure. Great video guys ❤

    For someone who has led many trips in each location over the last 30 years, I vote for Langtang! It (Langtang) is like these two areas were 20+ years ago in many ways. However it is also becoming much less appealing (as are both EBC and TAC) due to the impact of the number of tourists.

    At 9:55 you say "same trail there and back" which is not totally true. There is a much better route available which should be taken on the way up, namely the magnificent High Scenic Trail via Mong La - Phortse - Pangpoche, not just walk twice through Tengboche.

    Is Annapurna Circuit the same as Annapurna Base Camp or most people call it as ABC Trek?

    • @merape99
      @merape99 Год назад +1

      They are different, The various Annapurnas and other mountains form a huge natural amphitheatre. The base camp trek goes into the centre of the amphitheatre, whilst the circuit goes around the outside.

    • @magnificenthimalayantreks
      @magnificenthimalayantreks Год назад

      No, the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek are not the same. They are two distinct trekking routes in the Annapurna region of Nepal.
      The Annapurna Circuit is a longer trek that typically takes around 15-20 days to complete. It circles the entire Annapurna massif, offering diverse landscapes, stunning mountain views, and encounters with various ethnic communities along the way. The trail takes you through lush valleys, high mountain passes, and charming villages.
      On the other hand, the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, often referred to as ABC Trek, is a shorter trek focused on reaching the base camp of Mount Annapurna. It usually takes around 7-10 days to complete. The trek leads you to the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Annapurna I, Machapuchare (Fishtail), and other majestic peaks.
      While both treks are popular among adventure enthusiasts, they offer different experiences and itineraries. It's important to choose the trek that aligns with your preferences and physical fitness.

    Hi Alice, Im planning on doing the 3 passes Trek in a couple of weeks (My 4th trip to Nepal) , but was also considering adding Annapurna Circuit for the first time, However based on online reviews, many have said that Annapurna circuit is mainly a roadtrek that people are using jeeps to cross ( with exception of Thorong La Pass ) people are saying that the trek is hindered with vehicles kicking up dust and so on. Is this correct ?
    While the Khumbu is untouched by vehicles, Annapurna Circuit is now accessible by jeeps.
    your advice regarding this woud be greatly appreciated.

    • @FollowAlice
      @FollowAlice  Год назад +2

      Yes a road has been constructed through some sections of the trail. Particularly towards the beginning. This means that many trekkers these days choose to start their journey a little further along than before.
      Most expeditions these days focus on the middle section of the trail that contains the highest, most untouched, most beautiful sections of the trail. There are no roads here and it offers some of the most spectacular, varied scenery in all of Nepal.
      In our opinion, the Annapurna Circuit is absolutely worth it and very spectacular.

    On EBC trek, the tea house’ living conditions are horrible and I feel somewhat inhumane. The food options are very limited. I feel bored by the same old same old. The black coffee tastes horrible. I try alternative, milk tea but I don’t like the kind of milk in Nepal. Yuck.
