I know Eugene is the one always choosing chaos in WAR with the wildest briefs, but I feel often his perfectionist nature wins out...And he somehow still ends up with good stuff... Kwesi, on the other hand, is out here engaging in just full-throttle, unadulterated chaos, without a second thought, and I love it for him.
Kwesi's red spots has perfectly presented why foodpackages comes with warnings of 'risk of traces of X'. If something else is made in the factory, a small lapse in care/cleaning will risk cross contamination. And even if everything is totally separated, human error is a powerful thing.
27:47 rosanna's absolute delight at hearing daddy's favourite ride again while jennifer just holds her head in despair is absolutely the spirit of WAR.

Dude, Zach. I watched every episode of the Food Network show and loved it and was heartbroken that the scandal fucked things up. Also, Keith, the air is because the butter melts when it bakes, and you get all those lovely laminated pockets of air. Love you guys!
Zach is more quietly, verbally funny. Some of his best humor is off to the side. It's not as noticed as most of RUclips is still exaggerated, kinda slapstick.
That depends on the ingredients and isn't quite correct. Baking powder contains I think ~a third baking soda. But in order to act as a leavening agent, baking soda has to react with something acidic. So acidic ingredients are added to that third of baking soda that is in baking powder. Baking soda works just as well as baking powder to make desserts rise - if there is something acidic in the dough/batter to react with. Like lemon or fruits or yoghurt. The problems start when that's not the case. Like in a croissant...

Not to mention Jared is like a child cooking and he managed to make the most beautiful croissants and they had the best crunch!! I feel so proud of them, as if I made these croissants.
When Keith asked what's a flavor that hasn't been done with Croissants, I was scared he was gonna say soup. I am traumatized from the macaron episode lmao
For a father's day special, can we please do a without a recipe where they all have to make some sort of cinnamon raisin food product then have Keith's dad do a blind judging so we can get an official "Daddy's Favorite"
THIS! This right here is such a great idea! I hope they read it.
Yesss 🙌🏻 that is a great idea!
Very good idea
That's such a cute idea. It would be so funny.
Love this!
I'd love to see these two agents of chaos cook in side by side benches on WAR.
i love it for us!
Eugene chooses chaos. Kwesi is chaos.
@Shesana you seriously nailed it on the head.
Eugene merely adopted the chaos, Kwesi was born in it, molded by it. He hadn't seen order until he was already a man
Kwesi's red spots has perfectly presented why foodpackages comes with warnings of 'risk of traces of X'. If something else is made in the factory, a small lapse in care/cleaning will risk cross contamination. And even if everything is totally separated, human error is a powerful thing.
This season is getting more and more unhinged... and I'm here for it... LITERALLY. Love filming this show so much 🥰. Can I survive the entire season??
Fav judge ❤
Do they make prescription strength Tums?
We love you!! Thanks for sticking it out through bad and worse to be the greatest judge the guys could ask for 🧡🤩
You have been, the ride or die, judge you've seen and tasted somethings and we love you for it.
I was so confused by this comment until I saw the name
Jared has immediately found a way to panick:" I don't even know how to spell croissant"
Jared is hilarious!
He panics every episode but has nothing to worry about it because he gets third…daddy Popkin I’m telling you is either 2nd or 1st on this one 😂
He's real for that
And you misspelled panic 😉 the lesson is spelling is hard but making croissants is still harder!
crying at jen looking like she's having a mental breakdown as keith announces he's making "daddy's favourite" again 😭 27:45
RIGHT? I LOST IT LMAO
It's a double hit after they see how nice they looked afterwards 😂
I love how Kwesi just kept repeating 'its a murder mystery," every time the judges critiqued him.
Ro: "You killed the yeast!!"
Kwesi: "Exactly, it's a murder mystery!!"
HAHAHAHAHAAHA
Felt like an episode of law and order 😂
Kwesi’s “with consent” was both beautiful and hilarious 😂
Yes, and his timing was impeccable 🤣

27:47 rosanna's absolute delight at hearing daddy's favourite ride again while jennifer just holds her head in despair is absolutely the spirit of WAR.
Rewatching this and I just want to say that my 93 year old French grandma LOVED your show on food network. She’s house bound due to illness and how old she is and she would record your show and watch it over. I go over and watch them with her, she doesn’t have internet so she was thrilled there was more episodes on RUclips and she’s even more happy this year with the new rotation of the cast and it’s really nice to see. Thanks ❤
Got her a Roku for Christmas and internet so she can watch the new season cause I can’t go over as much
Cant express enough how much I love how the French Bulldog is this weeks cute animal. This might possibly be my favorite Without a Recipe of all time... 🐶🐶
Why do yall hate Zach?
It was actually the worst part of the video. Why people continue to advocate for the breeding of a dog that can't breathe, naturally reproduce, or naturally give birth is beyond me. Stop buying French bulldogs.
You are basically the Mother/Teacher of Without a Recipe 😂 thank you for staying Rosanna 💕
@@ImaLooker9 Thank you! I was hoping someone comment on that, they actually like to be intubated since its the first time in their life they can breathe
@@ImaLooker9purebred =/= wellbred.

I am so thankful for the addition of Jared. I hope he knows how much we all love him, and how we are so happy that he’s a part of the channel now.
He’s hilarious and one of my faves. Every time I say “museum” I think about him now. 😂
He’s so funny
I always shout AYYY POPPA’S BACK when I see him in a video😊😊😊
So proud of Poppa!! He did an awesome job! I also enjoy the thought of giving him the cute nickname "Pumpkin" 😊
jared jared jared jared jared jared !!!!
Omg props to Devlin McCluskey for editing again. The nightmare yeast sequence at 10 min was cracking me up. Super funny as always.
I genuinely love how Jared is just so thrilled to have made something passable without a recipe. It's HARD and you have to be insane to try and insanely skilled to pass, so props to them all for even doing it
Thrilled you brought Jennifer back, her deadpan "I love that" was so iconic.
If they ever did a short of the chefs watching the guys bake, that would be her reaction 🤣
@@LibbathegreatI think she did… during her demo, some of the eye brow twitching was epic
I REALLY hope Kwesi and Jared continue guest-starring in WAR they both bring such amazing energy and you can tell they are SUCH good friends with the rest of the guys. Kwesi has been an absolute delight since he first started appearing in Try Guys videos and WAR is my first time having the delight of watching Jared joining in the fun and his humor and joy are both so infectious!
rachel asking they guys “are you sure that’s what you want” at the end of every step feels so much like a teacher walking around during a test, looking at your paper, then making a statement about “make sure you read every part of the question” 😂
Stands over your desk, "guys listen up, some of you guys are stuck on number 2 still, just skip it 😂😂
Oooooh nooo! I didn't realize teachers did that as a hint to certain students! Now I'm looking back on my schooling and wondering if that tip was for my (previously) undiagnosed ADHD's brain.
Zach's expression of frozen terror perfectly encapsulates my exact reaction to teachers saying just that... They're trying to be helpful but it still strikes fear in me 😂😭
Keith’s whole disclaimer about Kwesi’s red food coloring getting on everything “not by purpose, design, or intent” had me rolling 😂
I was yelling at Kwesi!!! Like how messy. Then Keith's comment made me feel better
i do wonder though if it was that messy did he clean anything at all? if not kinda side-eyeing him
@sarafontanini7051 ya know I'd hate to think it was intentional. They all work together, so I have to believe it was messy and accidental.
@@sarafontanini7051 Nah, I just think that between the actual dye and the hot cheeto dust it acted like glitter when he was dusting the croissants. I.e. it got EVERYWHERE and is gonna pop up randomly for months no matter how much you clean 😂
@@sarafontanini7051If you've ever worked with red food coloring and/or powdery substances you know it will go everywhere no matter how much you try to clean. Besides, there was absolutely no impact on others' products other than the color, it was just a fun joke. It's really not that deep and I'm pretty sure they have a whole crew helping with cleaning anyway.
rachel "helping" the guys by being condescending instead of giving them advice was hilarious lmao she's the greatest
Just want to add that when Zack says "Merci beaucoup" (thanks a lot) during his presentation, he actually pronunces it "Merci beau cul", which literally means "Thank you nice ass" and I think that's beautiful
I love the moment anyone of the boys realizes that when Rachel asks a question - she means “you’re doing it not right” and they start to question their own entire existence 😂😂
& then Zach goes on to try to figure it out based on her responses
The savagery of 38:31 😂
"Do you think the CROISSANT is an important part of thr croissant??"
Jared is brave
Keith is bold
Zach is ambitious
And Kwesi is deranged.
Perfect choice of words from the judges.
LMAOO 😂
Would you say kwesi is...cwazy?
@i_have_yd6479 i cackled so LOUD 😂
The fact that Jared has no baking experience whatsoever and STILL manages to do pretty well is absolutely impressive. He's such a delightful part of the show!
He’s been my absolute favorite part of these episodes. He’s just doing his best and having fun!
He has really good intuition when it comes to croissants. He should really try bread making. Not everyone is a baker but I think he has what it takes
@@bodyofhope I'm sorry but why does this comment remind me of Ratatouille
It’s very impressive! He’s a natural! I hope they have him on more often because every time he’s in a video he’s an absolute delight ❤
I had a huge feeling Jared or Kwesi would either come 1st or 2nd this episode 😂
Did this video just hit different for anyone else? I’ve really been missing the vibe of old try guys videos, and haven’t been able to enjoy much content in the last 1-2 years. This one just made me so happy
I feel since that other guy left and with the rotating guest helps because it brings a unexpected situations and makes better content
I love that instead of rage of losing, everyone in every episode is cheering for Jared, I really love the positivity shown throughout this season and that the competition aspect of this show is more fun rather than tension based which how it was in the previous without a recipe shows.
With the red one, there's much less combative competitive energy. Eugene is content being artistic (and better than everyone else) and our soft soy boys are just thriving. ❤❤❤
Zach pulling out the second pair of glasses was an impeccably executed bit 😂
for real 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m so impressed by Jared literally his second time ever baking and he got 2nd and it wasn’t even too bad. I hope he does some baking with a recipe in the future because he could do great things!!
Jared fucking up his way to the top is the best part of this whole season. Ive never related more to Clueless baker in my life, so to see my inept representation succeeding by accident and pure intuition and spite is just soooo wonderful.
I hope Kwesi, Jared, and the three OG’s are ALL in the live finale. That would be something EVERYONE would watch.
They said 4 contestants but with 3 try guys included… the last one must be a very special guest who can’t cook either

Y'all playing the Hallelujah chorus for Jared getting second place is so wholesome I love it. I was rooting for him the whole episode. Congrats Jared!!!
The fact that Keith almost completely failed without the yeast but pulled it in the last minute.... beautiful. Cinema. Chef's kiss.
Similar to the time he forgot to put the bucket in the ice cream maker.
I think the fact that he remade his dough at the last minute meant he had the least amount of time to fuck it up 😂
Jared is doing immensely well for a guy who doesn't bake or cook lmao I'm not usually prone to parasocial feelings but even I am proud of him 😂 He really put himself out there, agreeing to come onto this series and being a good sport about it. Man's just delighted to be here
I think the thing that I love about Jared is that he brings the energy of the BuzzFeed try guys. Wholeheartedly diving into anything and it’s my favorite thing right now.
im the opposite XD i get overly empathetic to the point of feeling like a parent watching their child graduate and be successful
Dude, Zach. I watched every episode of the Food Network show and loved it and was heartbroken that the scandal fucked things up. Also, Keith, the air is because the butter melts when it bakes, and you get all those lovely laminated pockets of air. Love you guys!
Where did you watch it?
@@JB-bm1to It was on the Food Network and Discovery+. I don't know If any of the 5 episodes are still available for viewing.
Zach is honestly underrated in his sense of humor. The gag with the glasses kept me laughing throughout the entire judging for no particular reason
Zach is more quietly, verbally funny. Some of his best humor is off to the side. It's not as noticed as most of RUclips is still exaggerated, kinda slapstick.
That gag had me rolling!
That was a great bit of comedy and I was loosing my mind laughing

Just for everyone out there
Baking soda: makes desserts dense
Baking powder: makes desserts rise
Happy baking :)
Rachel questioning them every step of the way and messing with their heads, is the funniest thing ever for this season!! XD
I love that Jared has become the new Zach, the most inexperienced baker that we are ALL rooting for.
Zach’s glasses to glasses transition was peak hilarity
Okay, but Jared is actually so impressive! Second time baking, without a recipe and he made that?!?
he would be too powerful if he ahd a recipe
Nah, Rachel paired him with Keith and he just copied Keith.
Rachel is the life saver here
His strong suit is admitting he's a stranger to cooking and seeking opinions - and bring wholesome and adorable
@@nyaradhiamboi agree to an extent but jared literally did multiple steps BETTER than keith did? and it was the crucial steps like how to fold the dough and whatnot. he wasnt copying keith only please give him some credit.
Wasn’t Keith the one who didn’t initially used yeast?
I am always glad to see Jennifer back, she compliments the guys when they deserve it but she's also quite blunt about where their pitfalls were. It's a good foil for Rosanna who is always looking for the best in the dishes too.
Highlights were Keith's slow realization he needed yeast, Zach slowly taking off his glasses and Keith going along with it, Kwesi's slow desent into madness, and Jared's celebration at the end :)
Jared makes me laugh so hard 😆😆😆 After telling Keith he didn’t think “folding it like a book” was correct, Jared proceeds to tell us that he folded his own dough “like a bible”. Which last I checked…was also a book 🤣🤣
The way that Kwesi presented that "who killed the yeast" murder mystery telling me he should be a dnd dungeon master
I still want to know, how yeast can be killed 😂
@@n0amy30 from what I understand, the water temperature is important, if it's too hot it can kill it I think. That plus yeast eats sugar, so it needs those 2 things if my few forays into baking taught me anything about yeast.
@@n0amy30salt too can distrub leavening effect from yeast. From what i see his dough already on a dryer side with lots of salt added in. I think the yeast is fighting for its life to get some hydration
