🔴🔴🔴🔴⚠️⚠️ Note: Technically, this is NOT REAL DULCE DE LECHE, but it tastes and feels very similar to it. It's a quick and easy alternative to make if you can't find dulce de leche where you live. ⚠️ Store the dulce de leche in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or refrigerate for up to 8-10 days. Make sure to remove it from the fridge about 30 minutes before using.
I’ve used this method before and it’s lovely, never tried to boil a can of condensed milk to make Dulce de leche, is it worth it? I mean how much different does it taste?
@@leannebevan8419 Ive boiled cans of condensed milk for hours and also done the other process in the oven. This process in the stove is the best. I use it as a filling for my cakes. No more stressing.
I tried the boiling can method and after 3 hours, caramel didn’t turn into dulce de leche. So I came across this recipe and I kid you not it is so damn delicious and makes the whole process so much easier than the other method. Not going back to the boiling method again! Thank you for sharing this recipe. ❤️❤️
Came here after boiling the condensed can. Wasted 3 hours and gas dahil palpak din. 😕😂 This is way much easier plus hindi aksaya ng oras at ng gas. Thank you for this! 💛
Out of all the recipes I tried to search on RUclips for more than an hour I FINALLY FOUND THIS ONE!! 🤩 It’s a lot safer than boiling a can In a pressure cooker for 2 to 3 hours. A way better alternative to making it 🥰 Thank you!! 🙏🏻
I hope you enjoy the recipe! Just a reminder: the mixture thickens as it cools, so turn off the heat when it's still softer than the desired consistency. 😊
Well, this recipe beats my family’s Arequipe- made with rice left in water for 3 days and pulverized, mixed milk and sugar AND stir and stirred for HOURS! Thank you for sharing👏🏻
omg !!! I have to say , this filling tasted heaven . I made this filling , as a topping for my Dulce de leche cheesecake and it tasted amazing . I has a great consistency (followed the exact same instructions and measurements ) and very smooth to pipe in nozzles . I'm gonna definitely experiment more with this yummy yummy filling ❤️❤️ .. thank you so much for this wonderful recipe
I'm glad this video helped! Just remember that the mixture will thicken as it cools, as shown in the video. So don't cook too long, or the dulce de leche will become too thick like candy! 😊
I was born in Chile and the Dulce de leche or "manjar", is always very milky... like this recipe! I think it's a great recipe and with a beautiful result! Perfect for alfajores, cakes and other fillings... I must try it! I've been making it in the pressure cooker but this one, looks like real grandma's one 😊😊
as a complete novice, i was scared of making dulce de leche using one of those boiling-the-can methods but this recipe was perfect. the dulce de leche turned out delicious and saved me hours of effort! thank you so much for this video :)
I'm not sure what mistake I made, but mine was too light in colour, so I kept cooking and stirring it until it got same colour as yours. It was so thick that I had to give them candy shape. They're *so good*. It's the exactly replica of Butter Toffee candy!
Best dulce de leche recipe so far 👍👍👍 Cooked this for 2x using low-fat milk(1st batch) and a half and half (2nd batch) and turns out so good! Thank you sa recipe :)
I remember seeing dulce de leche for the first time when I was 7 years old when a carnival came to the park near me. It smelled so good. And it was served in a waffle cone. But I didn't have the money to get any. I was so sad. But now I can make some. Yea!
This homemade dulce de leche cream is incredibly gorgeous because we can use it as a filling in doughnuts, in biscuits, in toppings e.t.c. I liked it very much. Thanks for sharing. You're great. Congratulations!!!!!
And does it taste or behave differently? Because cooked condensed milk with butter is one of the most favorite creams in my country and you no longer have to cook it, they sell it cooked, but looking for something new, I found this thing, but I can't tell if I'd just get the same result different way.
Tastes awesome! I kinda messed up mine since I added cold butter which caused the mixture to become lumpy and not as smooth as yours, but it still tastes delicious and quite similar to Yema (a candy in the Philippines). Thank you for sharing your recipe 💕
Yes, you can use evaporated milk instead of whole milk. Just be careful not to cook it until it's too thick, as the mixture will thicken once it cools. The time may vary depending on the condensed milk. 😊
Hey , I’ve never made caramel before. I just had some questions did you heat your milk in the microwave? If not how did you heat it? And mine came out lumpy. Can you still save it if it goes lumpy ? It has the consistency but not the smooth texture .
Thank you! This looks great! I make jamoncillos for my dad all the time, but it takes hours of standing at the stove to make. I’ll try this method next time :) it seems like it might reduce my cook time by a lot! Thank you so much for sharing!
Excelente tofee. Saludos cordiales
Finally found the not runny dulce de leche. I tried making banoffe pie and it was a fail since my dulce de leche was too runny but it tasted delicious nonetheless. But i wanted a perfect dulce de leche
This did take around 45 minutes for me to make - but it came out beautifully. Thank you. What is the best way to store it and how many days can it store it for?
Buen provecho.
My mum and aunties spent hours stirring the pot, I used to use the can and boil it but not now, I buy a French one for quick emergencies but love this idea thanks from Auatralia🇦🇺❤🇺🇾😋

I don't think it's easier, as browning sugar is a skill, but it's definitely faster
Definitely easier
This is not easier than putting a can in boiling water. It’s faster, though.
I agree with it being easier, as I have a fear of the can exploding in the water. The whole time I'm like 😱
