the difference between children and adults is the conversation. kids talk about what other kids wear and look like, while grown ups see that as trivial. but the announcers were children and embarrassed themselves by showing it.
as someone who's jacked up my head in a skate accident i've got a lot of respect for the dudes who wear helmets. doesnt hurt when they shred either, gnarly stuff!
Man he can’t get a winning run, but he can do anything on a skateboard. I think he and his team are well aware that even just this footage will make him more $ than a win would. Keep grinding AA
He def does seem to try and win in the same ways as others. It seems like he does what he likes more than what scores points with judges, but that' why the crowd and his fans love him
What Andy likes to do is always fun to watch. I hope he never gives it up in exchange for impressing judges. That being said, I hope he "accidentally" wins a competition someday.
I don't understand how he doesn't win more shit. No disrespect to everyone else that's out there killing it but he mixes a little of everything and not everyone is willing to be so diverse in their runs. It's almost like they don't even judge him because he's on a different level so he goes into knowing he won't win but he will be greatly appreciated by who ever sees it. And it at the end of the day it isn't about money or sponsorship and all those guys just have some fucking talent and it's awesome to watch.
Listen to the crowd on his runs vs the winning skaters runs. Andy is more impressive to skaters and the winning more "technical" runs are impressive to judges with a score card.
Nice focus on Andy! Love his bag of tricks so much. It's like the fresh opposite of an overcleaned and therefore boring robotic style with all that flip to railstuff over and over again. For me skating has always be that unlimited variety of stuff in every aspect. That laughter about that old style at 4:09 is cool.

This is actually kind of depressing. As much as I love Andy’s skating, watching him do all of these insane tricks Flawlessly! Hardly anybody is clapping or cheering. He is the unsung hero of SPOT 2023!!!
@@kennymartes I know they went crazy. Just looking at the bored expressions on the sidelines while greatness is happening right in front of them. Especially during the practice runs. I wasn’t there. It’s got to be hard to score Andy, think about every other skater in comparison is skating in the same genre, then you got Andy blowing minds and doing equally crazy tricks - however it’s a different game.
exactly. I can barely tell the other runs apart, but his was totally different. He seems to do what he likes more than what he thinks will score points
@@ragnarsilverboard6803 I mean that's down to opinion. Nike SB has the best line up of skaters for hands down, but as far as board companies go the top skaters are all spread out. I think Plan B's team is pretty stacked right now. I'd probably put Primitive 2nd.
@@dsrree I think part of Powell's problem is they get watered down with a huge team. If they only had their top 5 best guys and cut the rest they'd be more recognized as a great team.
@toast Aurelien Giraud is on plan B and I'd say he's in his prime right now. And PJ Ladd might be old but he still kills it. But yeah your choices have good teams too.

Gotta love his style!! He's like a museum of skatin all wrapped up in one ripper 🤟🤟

His runs are great...he bails to much though during his actual runs...if he would just stay on his board lol

He also isn’t putting clean runs together. No hate just a fact
I'm impressed how loud the house was
over Andy
Everyone loved his stuff
If there is one word to describe Andy, It's destroyer...
I like how he's always shoulder-checking to make sure he doesn't cut anyone off. More skaters need to do that lol

They cheered louder for him then anyone else. I may have not filmed it after his run. But they went crazy

I'm getting old, these clips remind me of young Tom Penny back in the 90s just casually destroy that entire compound effortlessly. Rock on Andy!
Most of these dudes are too cool for school, Andy is the school.
Yea that makes no sense at all. They think they are to cool for Andy?

Andy is 100% skateboarder. I'll always love skating but he takes it to the max Andy forever the shiz nit.
I thought that was Eric Coston looking happy, it was feckin Deville from a distance 🤣😂🤣😂😋😇🫒
he skates like a video game character with perfect balance while someone spams buttons
This dude skates like I thought I would after chugging a Sobe as a kid
10:30, very sorry Andy that was too [awesome &] handys
Andy Anderson is a beast
I'm here with Chris Rob right now, saying "this reminds me of being young......" 😋😇
CRob is proper G, it's all about the shuv 😋😇🫒
In any event; Rodney Mullen has most likey had a barbeque with Andy Anderson, I feel the envy/love of you all 😋😇🫒

Heel flip varial lean air was straight Tony hawk underground.🤯🤯🤯🤯
AA is the epitome of cross-lock!
He probably would have made finals if he just landed that darkslide in an actual run.
Facts are facts , Andy fucking rips !
He does everything
I bet he can do 540s on vert
Got me wondering.
This guy really try a Darkslide in a competition? Haha... Love it.
it looks like he want to make Darkslide a *casu trick* like kick flip.
i see anderson. i watch
that 90 degree rail. That helmet isn't only to protect Andy. its to protect us from his genius brain
Siiiiick 🔥
Such a beast
so sick
Andy always ripping!!!!❤
him and Joslin should have won!
Is Powell about to rise above the rest again? Before you say no you should check and see if your favorite brand still exists.
I like Powell's products like the flight decks and their wheels, but no, their team is actually pretty weak compared to other companies.
@@dsrree maybe, who has the best overall team?

AA is skateboarding.
Well deserved. Andy rips. Best skater there.
