Great job, I love the every-other-week format. A couple of things, I think the ERAY is amazing, best of all worlds. My biggest issue with my Corvette has always been traction (even with the amazing technology), now there are 4 wheels pushing and pulling it. Sit down and hold on tight 0-60 in 2.5 is serious! I'm curious about how long the battery will last, that's my biggest concern.
A quote from the Corvette Blogger..."Tadge basically says the Z06 is a scalpel for the track while the E-Ray is for everything else."
One bad LT6 engine out of all of them is no issue, feel for the guy that got it, but to your point, GM will be all over that and it won't happen again.
Finally, I love and share your thought. "No sympathy for these people". The market can work for you or bite you, that's the way it is!

Thanks John, much appreciated. A bit of a leap of faith to change up the timing, but my hope is that once I find my new groove, each video will feel a bit more "special" than before, be slightly longer (10-15 min rather than 7-10 on average), and that it'll be a nice surprise every other week when the next one comes out. I have some really good ideas for topics and coverage planned, and am excited to change it up!
I'm with you on the E-Ray. I think it's a much more "usable" car than the Z06 in many ways, and will actually enhance the way people generally use the car, by being more real world friendly and torquey. Side note, next video I have a much deeper dive on the car planned, so I hope you like it!
Haha, right there with you on both the one car issue, and on the no sympathy for scalpers! Always nice to hear from you man, and I hope you have a great weekend! Catch you soon man!

Thanks Bill! I know, small world right? Really neat to have a real world connection to it! I'd have loved to see that car in person, the paint really popped, and the design of the exterior is so iconic!

    Awww...Yeah...It's Fredday Again...Ha ha ha!
What is up Fred 👋 Glad you you're doing well it seems! Did I understand that you are only doing video's every other week now?
Man, talking about E-Ray's, Porsche's and LS swaps...oh my...ha ha ha! All the things near and dear to my heart as you know!
The E-Ray's release and some of the RUclipsr's coverage was awesome! For me and my usage, it's probably the best choice for how I plan to use my new Corvette. With plans of long drives, vacationing, with some Autocross and track days thrown in!
24 hrs of Lemon's will be awesome for you man! Seems like such a good time when I watch races on RUclips. FUN Racing for sure! Looking forward to the upcoming content.
Don't forget about NCM Bash and Corvette's of Carlisle! Make time for your subscribers too...ha ha ha!
    Be well

      Hi Shane! Happy Fredday!
Yeah, I decided to try changing things up, for a few reasons. Biggest was I needed to free up some time for the Lemons project, but the second biggest driving factor was I wasn't where I wanted to be with the quality of my videos. Content was good, but I wanted some higher production polish, to go slightly longer, and have a bit more time to formulate my ideas, think through what to cover, and come up with some interesting topics. I'm only 1 video in obviously, but already I find my stress level is a bit less, and I had more fun making this last video than I had previously. The goal is to make better content, and you don't make progress in improving something unless you're willing to take risks, make changes, and see what works. So far, so good!
Glad you enjoyed this one, and that the lemons stuff sounds interesting to you! I'm certainly excited, especially as it's now starting to take shape. The car is officially purchased yesterday (mentioned in this comment first anywhere!), and this weekend the team is all bringing welding and machining gear up to the garage to prep it for the car!
Thanks for the reminders on those events, I do want to continue with Corvette coverage (and have some things planned), but it would be great to attend at least one of those. I'll keep you posted! I know you attend too, so a meetup is certainly in order if I can swing it to get there!
Have a great weekend my friend!

    Fred,
The issue I have with the complaining about dealer make-up is that no one is forced to pay over MSRP. Those who pay extra are willing participants. You and I are on MacMulkin's list at MSRP; however, if money was no object, my local dealer is ~$100K over MSRP, so I would pay that to have mine earlier. From what I understand the C7 ZR1 is in demand and owners are selling way above what they paid. I know I am in the minority with my viewpoint, but buyers do have a choice.

      Hi Sully!
Totally agree with you, no one is forcing anyone to buy above MSRP. I think what strikes a chord with me is that these marked up cars come out of a pretty limited supply already, so each one is one less car that an enthusiast without that much extra money can get. Couple that with the fact that people have been waiting years on these lists at MSRP dealers, and likely have further years to wait, and it just feels a bit slimy to me. I totally get your point though, and none of these cars are a necessity, nothing we need to have. Perhaps I'm being a bit idealist (as a lifelong optimist that's probably true), but I am not a fan of greed in any form (legal or otherwise).
The consolation here is that Stingray prices have softened and are now around MSRP in many places, and the delay from trying to purchase to receiving one built for you is now well under a year. My hope/thought is that this will eventually happen for the Z06 (in a few years), and that things will normalize, so maybe the only "cost" here is time rather than money for anyone who wants one badly enough. I don't know about you, but time is my most valuable commodity.
Thanks for the good counterpoint Sully, hope you have a nice weekend! We just got 3" of really wet snow here in NH, so I gotta go snow blow soon. lol

@@FredsFullThrottle Around the world money talks.
I have mixed feelings about GM producing enough Z06s to fill market demand. Since I am 183 on MM list, I am pretty sure I will have a one. The less they produce the more mine is worth! LOL. However now with the E-Ray I have seen several comments that the E-Ray may be a better option than the Z06 for those who will not track their car, which typically is the majority of buyers. Maybe it will have an impact with GM producing less Z06 models, making the Z06 more valuable down the road for the purists.
I moved from New England years ago. You can keep all that snows!! LOL

Willing, yes but almost some arm twisting here. Sure there are those who have fallen in love with a car that they did not anticipate coming to being years ago. If they had, they might have gotten on a list somewhere to get it at MSRP or near. But they had no idea how great that car was back then as not one really knew. The people in the earliest positions for Z06's did not know anything of the car except that they are Corvette enthusiasts and wanted one regardless. Apparently premium payers can afford it but realize that if they do want one in a reasonable time frame within their life, they need to pay the exorbitant amount that the dealer is asking. 3 to 5 years down the road just does not sound realistic to these buyers who discovered these cars long after the deposit lists were a mile long.

I love the renewed enthusiasm in this video. This is the right cadence for the channel. I'm #3 for a Z06 at a local dealer, confirmed MSRP, in writing. Got an email about a $25k change of plans and an implicit invitation to file a lawsuit if I didn't like it. 😞 I am ready to move on to the E-Ray. I have mixed emotion about the 911 news. I'd LOVE to be able to consider a full ICE or hybrid version to cross compare with an E-Ray. AFAIK, Porsche dealers are even LESS likely to sell at MSRP than Chevy. TBH, I haven't looked at used yet. BTW, I LOVE what you are doing with MY racing team ;-) I will remember this when it is contract renewal time!

Fred you the best, I walked away from my GT 3 Touring when the dealer said sell at list but $34K for my 2022 loaded GT 4, no trade no deal. On the list now near top for the new Eray at a dealer with no mark up, I decided Eray better fit than Z6 07. Given up on the GT 3, drove one at the Porsche experience, I like my GT 4 as much maybe more. My wife’s 992 Turbo S is pretty hard to beat for the best of all worlds if you can have only one car to drive.

      Hi T Michael,
Unfortunately nothing more than speculation at this point (that I've heard at least), though a few spy shots of what *could* be the ZR1 have been floating around the last few months. Hard to tell with all the camo, and honestly given some of the mules for the Z/E-ray, they could be anything. As soon as I have any clear info/data (beyond speculation/rumor), I'll be covering it. I'm interested to hear what it'll turn into!
      Have a nice day!

    Hey Fred...A BMW for $500...such a deal!
For those "many" who were disappointed, angry, or just "out" for the Z06 over the price announcement, I was stunned by the price of the E-Ray...very nearly the same price as the Z06. I think it is more than $10,000 too much. And I had pretty much decided that I would be going the E-Ray direction. Great car? Sure. As good as the Z06? I would say no. True that it is a tiny bit faster and is considered a performance car but you cannot get it with the same track tuned suspension, nor the high wing or the canards. But you can get it with the carbon fiber wheels? So why not the high wing? The Z06 does not really need that wing either but it is about the performance image. Do I need to be zooming around on a snowy road or frozen lake? NO. Worse, for me is the body colored trim in the grill and rear vents in particular. Makes it distinctive? I say it makes it look unfinished. I would have to pay to have those parts..."finished"...yet another cost likely to go past Z06 MSRP. However, the E-Ray does come standard with carbon ceramic brakes, yet I would not have ordered them on a Z06 due to the high cost and that I don't think that they are necessary, particularly for my use. In the case of the E-Ray, I think GM found that the lighter ceramic brakes worked well with the front wheel drive system. Plus any weight savings on this heavier car was welcomed...Yes, the car is heavier than a Z06...another negative. I am on lists for this car so we shall see how I feel with my Z06 position, still further away than I am comfortable with. I need to get on a ZR1 (Zora?) list...as considering how fast the Z06's happen, maybe a future model will be coming available by the time I can see daylight towards the Z06.
Fred...I will contact you about MM...haven't heard a peep.
