Somehow you are the only reviewer that recognizes the fact that keyboards can be used on the lap. Everyone else only talks about the feel on a desk. So thumbs up from me. If you want to add to that segment show us how well the keyboard works if you're lying back in bed or on the floor.
Received mine yesterday, totally love it. Typing is fun, so is browsing the web flicking away with that awesome trackpad. This review convinced me, so thumbs up, guys. I got exactly what I expected …
09:35 The bulky bumper case makes perfect sense now. It's there to protect the iPad when it slips from your lap.... Overall a great product, can't wait to get one for my iPad Air 3.
I just got this keyboard myself. Best investment into an accessory I could’ve made to this day. Typing feels so natural on the keyboard and feels really satisfying. The material feels great too.
How does the material stand up to water or dirt? Is it easy to clean or stain easily? I work as a cook in a restaurant and use my iPad to do my homework when it's not busy
I just got my unit in the mail today. I love it. Its quite easy to get acquainted with and feel comfortable typing on right away. I love the feel of the materials. I also like the heft it adds to the tablet itself. Makes it feel a little more protected. Im using it in my lap right now. There is a little wobble typing, but nothing one cant live with out. However, using it in the lap, the kickstand digs down into my legs a bit. The quality of this thing is amazing. I also feel it makes my iPad so much more useful now. I was going to buy a Macbook to have as well. Glad I waited for the keyboard to arrive. I dont need a Macbook now. This will suffice quite well!
I have the original Smart Keyboard by Logitech for the 9.7" iPad Pro and have used it for the last 4 years. Works absolutely perfect. Love the Smart Connector usage. Bit of a shame that the new Pro has basically, a useless Smart Connector. Not needing to charge the keyboard and having instant connectivity is the best. Yes, it's a little bulky but in 4 years of real abuse, not a scratch on the iPad. BTW, I think $500 is a fantastic deal for the whole setup. For basic computing (Word, Google, etc) and media consumption, it's totally great. Basically, half the price of a MacBook Air and slightly lighter.
This is just perfect . Planning to sell my 2020 ipd pro 12.9 . Honestly I don’t need so much power or screen . I just need this for taking notes , Netflix and sometimes using to connect my work windows machine .
9:24 That’s how I dropped my Surface Pro 4 face first in the concrete, just weeks after getting it. Still kept it as a back-up tablet with a cracked screen. iPad 7 is my current tablet. Not gonna take that risk again.
So sad that they don’t make it for the 9.7” iPad Pro. Would definitely consider getting one of these seeing that I can’t justify buying a new iPad. My 9.7” is still chugging just fine !
Just want to say you sold me when you connected the iPad with just the keyboard. I was on the fence and I didn't even consider that as an option so thank you for answering that for me. I'm sure I'll find a reasonably priced kickstand on Amazon, I'm much more interested in the keyboard and I prefer the space and weight saved over the protection.
Simon P its the iPad 7th Generation but i called it the iPad 7 cuz easier for me but apple did replaced the 2018 iPad 6th Generation 9.7inch with the 2019 10.2 inch iPad 7th Generation
Rachel Andres Ah! I still have the iPad Pro from 2016. It still works perfectly. The Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard Case is good. I had to make do with a different type of keyboard but it protects the whole of my iPad Pro. That proves that you don’t have to really keep upgrading all the time. There will come a time when it will need to be replaced but at the moment it’s nearly as good as the day I bought it.
Lot people out there say if its thicker or heavier than an ipad air then its too much. Its BS. If Apple engineering changed the regular ipad then Apple would absolutely charge more. I am fine with the way the ipad is. Its an intro-gateway to the Apple garden. Its fine.
Just taken delivery of one of these, and it definitely feels high quality for the money, and much better value than my Apple Smart Keyboard. Key travel is also excellent.
How's the smart connectors compared to the the apple smart keyboard. After a year, my connection started getting worse due to the connectors not touching the metal parts on the ipad. Have you had any connection problems at all? Hope logitech did a better job with the connection problem than apple.
@@visveee6678 I got mine yesterday. Its really quite a heavy beast now. But why should this really matter? Even if its 5 kg, its surely no problem to lift it. And you wouldnt feel it on your lap or on your table anyway. Really great build quality. I think the extra weight and sturdyness will be also beneficial for a long lasting hinge / keyboard functionality
I tottaly would have purchased this over the beefy folio typing case for the iPAd Pro. I have always been a fan of logitech products and this is clear example of why. The only thing I would recommend or change, would be a more secure holder for the apple pencil. The fact they offer an app to work with the keyboard case is a nice added touch.
The regular ipad could be said to be bulky itself so adding the Combo touch its not that much difference. If you are going to be carrying the ipad with you it will be in a backpack no so problem. Plus the Combo protects the ipad and has a loop for the pencil.
I bought the iPad Pro 10.5 and listed my Surface Pro for sale when I saw this case release. The case is pre-ordered on Amazon right now. So hyped. (low key wish they offered it for the 12.9 inch variants but I can see the conflict with apples personal keyboard demographic)
Depending on your needs but in general, I’d still go with this with the iPad Pro 10.5 especially with the massive app library and how far iPadOS has come.
Yeah it totally depends on your use. I have a laptop and iPad Air 3 but use the iPad for almost everything. Laptop takes over when iPad feels limited but that doesn’t happen often enough for me to warrant keeping the laptop. My iPad is my school device so I write papers, read, research, and take notes on it. Amazing how far iPad has come.
Nathan McCreary Umm.. Apple isn’t making the case, Logitech is. They can make whatever they want, or maybe not, since they’re closely tied to Apple. Who knows, but I’m hoping for a budget case for the iPad Pro from whatever manufacturer
All I want is a case for the iPad Pro that has a trackpad, backlit keys, shortcut keys, kickstand, 360º cover, kickstand mode for Apple Pencil use, Apple Pencil holder, adjustable viewing angles, and the ability to fold the keyboard back to use as an eReader. Is all that too much to ask?
And probably more stable than the soon to be available new apple smart keyboard if I had a 7th generation iPad id buy one, and if there was a version available for the iPad pro 9”, I'd definitely buy one.
Yeah, and the iPad is a waaaay better deal. Just get a Lightning and USB (or USB-C) flash drive on Amazon and you’re set. All the previous iPad complaints are gone. This can run mobile apps as well as desktop websites, so it’s much better than Pentium Land where the Surface Go resides.
@@visveee6678 The only advantage the SurfaceGo has, is that you can use desktop apps (and that not really well). But even that will fade away when companies actually develop apps incorparating the new iPadOS with trackpad support.

The weight of the Combo Touch is much to high for the iPad beeing an "Couch-Surfer-YT-Netflix-whatever"-Device on the one side and a mobile working machine with touch keyboard on the other side because the Cover itself is about 350 gramm (!!) so it transforms your iPad into a heavy brick.

How do i get this? Im from india. It not available here
