Great podcast, Brandon (and Erwin). The whole idea of "decade lives" is spot on. I resonated with many parts of this podcast, but this part was revelation. Funny, I've been telling myself for years that it's abnormal, that we should stick to one thing for life, but that just isn't true. Pivots in life are very healthy, and I'm glad I'm living mine.

I believe in being a successful Christian , but I have a hard time watching capitalism take place on such a delicate small island , where affordable housing is so scarce . I know that I don’t know the details of what your earnings may contribute to charity or whether you price your rentals and resales at an affordable price and exclusively to long term local people, especially natives . But amassing wealth on the backs of such a small society and then having a show where you pat eachothers backs with all the reasons why this is ok … it’s just not transparent enough of a conversation in my opinion in regards to the effect of the ways you are participating in hurting a people of so much oppression. Charities are not a substitute for integrity; In fact , what could it be traded for ? Real estate in Hawaii is the most desirable of all American real estate, it’s no secret . Now , after this podcast has aired we are faced with the devastation of the lahaina fires and we see exactly how desirable the land here is to those more powerful than the people who are rightful to it. Again, this conversation is not specific enough for me to have all the grounds in which to bring this up so let’s call it a fair trade . It’s just so very hard to watch two wealthy wealthy men of faith justify land grabbing small , delicate islands . I’m open to any and all suggestions on how to interpret what I just listened to .I guess my question is , why Maui? Why Hawaii ? I’m broken over this and I’m asking sincerely . Also very afraid to post this , but here I go..

I was so excited when I found this channel because I'm such a big fan of Brandon from BP. I tried so hard to get through all the religious propaganda in the first episode and I did it thinking there will be less of it going forward but the second episode is even more religious propaganda. When Brandon said his biggest fear in life is his kids not knowing Jesus, I was like "I'm getting off this Jesus train, no thanks". Love Brandon but this channel unfortunately is not "a better life", it's just Jesus Love fest.

Ironically, it’s right around that time that Erwin starts to drop some knowledge about mindset and entrepreneurship that I found to be of great value. Hope you pressed on.

I agree with Erwin. Employing people is ethical. I’m very appreciative that I’m able to employ a local landscaper for my rental properties.
