i grew up on the sims 2 but got to watch my brother play the sims 1 as a little girl, i'll always treasure those memories getting introduced to my favorite game for the first time
@dolphin I think it's cool you got to witness your brother play TS1. As someone who grew up playing TS2, I can totally understand why you play TS4. I have the latest installment in the franchise, most of the expansion packs, game packs, a few kits, lots of custom content/mod, yet I often experience boredom with TS4.

Building in the Sims 1 made me realize a lot of improvements and tools in the later games made building so much easier! I missed the eyedropper tool, imagine the amount of time browsing through the catalog for the wallpaper you want!
Now just add a Christmas tree and a fireplace with the cookies and Santa will appear when your sims are asleep.- I do love the little secrets like that in Sims 1 :,)

Satch, to easily remove floor in ANY sims game including 4, you can select any flooring and hover over with it over the parts that you want to delete, holding control key (to the left from windows keyon your keybord) and voila. You don't have to interact with room tool at all if you don't want to to remove some part of the floors in the sims 4

I don't think they'll ever do it tho, unfortunately. if the sims 5 even comes out eventually, i think they (EA) will push it to be online, like the majority of their other games

You can do a deck outside! You have to put a column in every single space that you want the deck to be, place the floor tiles, and then delete the columns. :)

This is hilarious and kinda proves the undoing of one of the sims games (yes the sims 4) because this Sims game was initially supposed to be people building homes and the sims would review it. Amazing that you don’t have proper build tools for 1999/2000…

I tried as an adult and I just couldn't. As many problems as there are with The Sims 4, the 15 odd years definitely made building easier. The Sims 2 did brilliantly, though - considering it came after this XD

I never understand how every Sims4 youtuber/streamer says "Sims4 is superior in build/buy mode". I guess they all are talking about the sims franchise right?
The thing for me is, even sims4 build/buy is pretty bad. Like actually bad. If some of these people would play something like Planet Zoo, Jurassic World: Evolution or whatever game. They are far ahead of every sims game of the sims franchise together. Personally i love the sims. I play every 4 of them myself, but to be honest compared to other games, their build/buy mode is way worse then most of the current other simulation games.
I wish they can remaster Sims 1 for it to run on new PCs and laptops.

Let's be real. If they actively just updated the graphics for each of the TS2 stuff packs and sold them just as TS4 stuff packs I would buy them and I would willingly pay full price, too. There would be no new game play even needed, because stuff packs didn't come with new game play, just new build, buy, and CAS and that would be it.

Like I said before I paid wayyyy to much $$$ for the Sims, but unless they fix the curved walls my 75k downloads isn't going to go much further until it's fixed, I said before I was going back to Skyrim, I loved Skyrim VR, but where I'm living now I can't put in the VR setup. A few years ago I paid the primer price for a 10 yrs PC, so I don't have lag in Sims, but I wanted to build with curved walls, but even in my base Sims game builds that came with the dlc all curved walls have the yard text is spiking in the wall, I've been doing building games since Minecraft 1.5.2 with Ark, Conan, Sims 3 4, but Sims I spent more money then any other game, lol fyi Ark Survival Evolved is almost 500gb if you have all 12 maps, I have all of ark and no lag, Sims is fucked, and they don't care how much $$$$$$ you spend

Oeh maybe you could even "cheat" the algorithm by making a video series named "trying out possible sims 4 alternatives" or something more catchy lol. And then you just play other known simulators or indie developer simulators

You literally have to create another channel for different content. If you want the channel to be a new game, you have to create one specific to that.
But if you switched to the sims 5 it would probably be fine. Just don't start playing mine craft lol
